Ico HD, Rayman Origins Vita free on PS Plus in September

September's PlayStation Plus Instant Game Collection updates are now public. None of the five new titles on tap are likely to knock your socks off, but taken together it's another value-riffic month to be a subscriber.

On PS3, it's all HD updates: Ico from the Ico and Shadow of the Colossus HD Collection, Resident Evil Chronicles HD Collection (a Move-enabled omnibus of Wii rail shooters The Umbrella Chronicles and The Darkside Chronicles), and Galaga Legions DX.

PS Vita, on the other hand, gets cartoony platformer Rayman Origins--hopefully it will hit soon, giving you something to play while you wait out Rayman Legends' two week delay on the handheld--and Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories. The latter is technically a PSP game, but its compatible with either.

These free titles will land throughout the month, so keep your eye on the PlayStation Store to see when the deals begin.
