Friel joins cast of Dark Fields

Anna Friel has joined the cast of Neil Burger’s new thriller, Dark Fields .

The Hollywood Reporter state that the film is a mix of thriller, mystery and sci-fi, and is about a “down-and-out writer (Bradley Cooper) who gets his hands on a top-secret pharmaceutical drug that makes one smarter”.

Also starring are Robert De Niro and Abbie Cornish in a decidedly trans-continental cast.

Friel last showed up in the misguided big screen remake of classic TV series Land Of The Lost, as well as the tragically cancelled small screen wonder that was Pushing Daisies (below).

She is set to play the ex-wife of Bradley Cooper’s writer in Dark Fields , having also bagged a role in London Boulevard , the directorial debut of scribe William The Departed Monahan.

Next up, you can catch Friel in Woody Allen’s new flick, You Will Meet A Tall Dark Stranger .

Looking forward to Dark Fields ?
