Expert builds for Destiny's Prison of Elders and Trials of Osiris

Prison of Elders - Hunter

The Hunter Gunslinger pips the Bladedancer to the post because they can hang back with the Golden Gun while still having the speed to get to objectives quickly. There's no need to dive in for close quarters combat, and the Bladedancer's super isn't great against high level enemies and bosses, whereas the Golden Gun gets the job done and then some.

It's worth turning on the Over the Horizon modifier to increase the range of the Golden Gun, allowing for sniping when your Hunter is safely tucked away picking off enemies and has a super begging to be used.

If you're feeling particularly cocky, kit out your Hunter with the Celestial Nighthawk helmet and unlock the Big Game upgrade. This will reduce the number of shots for the Golden Gun to one, but it increases the damage sixfold. Combine this with the Keyhole modifier for a super powerful bullet that penetrates enemies and you'll be a force to be reckoned with.
