Adele Blanc-Sec trailer

Pterodactyls and mummies terrorise a steampunk Paris in Luc Besson’s latest

How’s this for a French fancy? The full trailer for Fifth Element director Luc Besson’s latest film has debuted online complete with prehistoric pterodactyls, suited and booted walking corpses and a gorgeous steampunk Paris.

Set in the years before the Great War, The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec (or to give it it’s French title Les Aventures Extraordinaires D'Adèle Blanc-Sec ) is the story of Adèle – an investigative journalist/adventurer who must save Paris when a 136 million year old Pterodactyl egg mysteriously hatches. It’s based on the series of Franco-Belgian comics created by Jacques Tardi and marks Luc Besson’s return to live action SF for the first time in more than a decade.

Unfortunately the bonkers trailer is only available in French for the time being, but an English language website has launched while the film is set to debut in France this April.
