50 Most Annoying Movie Brothers

Jake Raging Bull

The Movie Brother: Pugilist Jake LaMotta (Robert De Niro), the eponymous bull and brother to gobby wise-guy Joey (Joe Pesci).

Why So Annoying:
“You fuck my wife?” screams Jake as he beats Joey into a pulp in the film’s most notorious scene. Neither of them are saints, but considering Jake’s a trained fighter, it’s not really fair for him to lay the smack down on his bro like that.

Conrad The Game

The Movie Brother: The rebellious younger brother of wealthy investment banker Nicholas Van Orton (Michael Douglas).

Why So Annoying: “It won’t stop, Nick!” Conrad (Sean Penn) wails, having got his brother into a right situation by recommending CRS, a game that will change Nick’s life. Yeah, for the worse…

Kip Napoleon Dynamite

The Movie Brother: The older sibling of Napoleon Dynamite (Jon Heder), who just wants to raise a little cash to visit his girlfriend in LaFawnduh.

Why So Annoying: His business scheme (with buddy Rico) makes Napoleon’s life a misery, not least when Rico makes up rumours about Napoleon to help boost sales. Then there’s that bit when Kip dresses up like a hip hop superstar… Cringe.

Sid Toy Story

The Movie Brother: Vile, head-shaven miscreant who likes nothing better than torturing toys.

Why So Annoying: Nothing’s sacred, especially when it comes to dolls. Sid gleefully turns his sister’s playthings into hybrid abominations, then discards them to move onto his next masterpiece.

Mikey The Goonies

The Movie Brother: Mikey Walsh, a nervous little asthmatic who likes saying ‘willy’ a lot.

Why So Annoying:
Another Michael. This one’s got a gang of friends who do nothing but cause trouble. Of course, he’s not much better than bro Brand (Josh Brolin), who’s obsessed with working out and chasing skirts.

Kevin Home Alone

The Movie Brother: Eight-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin), youngest in the family and playing up to that something chronic.

Why So Annoying: Just imagine having this little tyke as your younger brother. Not pretty is it? He doesn’t respect your space. He steals your money. And he makes fun of your girlfriend. Terror.

Julius & Vincent Twins

The Movie Brothers: The result of an expensive experiment in which a genetics lab attempted to create the perfect human being.

Why So Annoying:
Well, just look at them! The fact that they’ll be back for a much-belated sequel fills us with sick feelings…

Mario & Luigi Super Mario Bros

The Movie Brothers: Video game plumbers Mario and Luigi, who discover a parallel universe that’s being ruled by King Koopa.

Why So Annoying: They’re as annoying as each other, aren’t they? To be fair, poor old Bob Hoskins was probably pressured into it by his kids, but that doesn’t excuse the horrendous over-acting or the sky-high Annoy Factor.

Alvin, Simon & Theodore Alvin & The Chipmunks

The Movie Brothers: Three bundles of fur that are adopted by songwriter David Seville (Jason Lee). He must be a glutton for punishment.

Why So Annoying: They’re little more than vocally-gifted vermin, and even there they grate – their numerous, horrifically frequent musical numbers are enough to send anybody over the edge.

Loki The Avengers

The Movie Brother: Ex-frost giant Loki (Tom Hiddleston), brother to future Asgardian king Thor (Chris Hemsworth).

Why So Annoying: Just the little matter of attempting to take over a small, over-populated planet called Earth. Loki sets his sights on domination, and makes a right meal of his plans, destroying half of New York City and getting smooshed by Hulk…
