The Moment: Photographer Keith Jennings (David Warner) goes to retrieve a set of daggers that he’s decided to use to kill devil child Damien, but then a truck rolls towards him and a sheet of glass it’s carrying takes his head clean off…

Look Away When: Jennings looks up just in time to see the glass slicing his way.

Night Of The Living Dead (1968)

The Moment: Helen Cooper’s (Marilyn Eastman) daughter comes back to life and kills her with a garden hoe before eating her.

Look Away When: Helen discovers Karen in the basement eating Harry.

Look Away When: Denise first glimpses Jerry on the operating table.

Small wonder she starts screaming “No! No! No!”

Audition (1999)

The Moment: “I’ve paralyzed your body, but your nerves are still awake,” says Asami (Eihi Shiina) before getting out a wire saw and moving down to her victim’s feet…

Look Away When: Asami covers the carpet with a white sheet.
