Tuesday Link-a-Mania

Zombie Dinosaur
Shock Till You Drop has a couple of links to two pieces of artwork from White Zombie rocker Rob Zombie’s upcoming project, Tyrannosaurus Rex (parental guidance warning! Even the poster needs a 18-certificate for language – so we doubt that tag line will make it to your local multiplex). If these images are anything to go by, the film, about which little is known at the moment, is going to just as subtle as Zombie’s previous films as director, House of 1,000 Corpses and The Devil’s Rejects. Or, indeed, White Zombie’s music.

Potter 6 Photos
Coming Soon has eight shiny, new pics from Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, including a pre-requisite "Harry looking moody shot" for those of you who like that sort of thing. Suerly this one can’t can’t be any "darker and grittier"? The kids’ll need torches to find their way round Hogwarts soon.

Buffy Team Regroups in a Cabin
Joss Whedon is joining up with old Buffy cohort (and Cloverfield scripter) Drew Goddard to write a film script called Cabin in the Woods, according to MTV . Whedon will also produce. Goddard says of the project: "There’s a reason the title is so straightforward. It’s its own sub-genre, the cabin in the woods, and this is sort of our take on it. It’s fresh and new.”

Ripley to Return?
Sigourney Weaver tells OK that she would be prepared to make a comeback as Ripley, "if I had a director like Ridley Scott and we had a good idea. Ridley is enthusiastic about it.”

Emerich’s Farewell to Atlantis
No, the Stargate team hasn’t signed up the director of the originaal film to shoot the final episode of the spin-off series. According to Vancouver Film Net the Independence Day and The Day After Tomorrow director will be making Farewell Atlantis for Sony, with a scheduled release date of 2012. It doesn’t appear to be a film about Atlantis; instead the title refers to year that ends the Mayan calendar. Yup, it's another worldwide disaster flick.
