Stewart: Maybe more Xavier; Probably No More Picard.

Patrick Stewart appeared at DragonCon in Atlanta this past weekend, where, according to CNN he revealed that there’s the possibility of a return for Professor Charles Xavier, but it's less likely we'll see Picard again, and if we do, it'll only be in a cameo.

Stewart admitted that he thought the JJ Abrams Trek reboot was “terrific” but left little room for the return of the Next Generation cast, leaving open only the possibility that he would agree to do a cameo in a sequel.

News on the X-front was more promising: “He mentioned he recently co-starred in a production of Waiting for Godot with Ian McKellen and the two agreed that they would like continue exploring the relationship between Xavier and McKellen’s X-Men character Magneto.” Oh good grief, let's hope that doesn’t mean more of that creepy CG-botoxing if the Magneto movie is based on the early days of Charles and Erik as internet rumours suggest…
