Hot off the heels of its announcement this June, Star Wars: Squadrons pre-order deals are now live and ready to go. Want to get in on the flight-sim set in a galaxy far, far away? We've got the best offers for you right here.

Although there aren't many of them right now, those Star Wars: Squadrons pre-order deals may give us a hint at the game's size. More specifically, Squadrons (revealed just ahead of EA Play Live 2020) won't be as expensive as a 'standard' release. You can find out exactly how much it'll cost below.

No matter how big or small it is, we're not complaining - it looks stunning regardless, and we've waited a long time for a new starfighter game in the Star Wars universe. As shown by the Star Wars: Squadrons extended gameplay trailer, it seems ready to deliver. Its focus on becoming an ace pilot - with new, impressive manoeuvres and mechanics for diverting ship power where it's needed most - sets it apart from the flight-sim mode in Star Wars: Battlefront 2. What's more, compatibility with VR makes it even more compelling for those who've dreamed about jumping into the cockpit of an X-Wing.

A spiritual successor to the Rogue Squadron series, Star Wars: Squadrons is set shortly after Return of the Jedi. As such, it pits the New Republic against the remnants of the Empire with a single-player campaign featuring heroes from the movies, books, and animated TV series (Hera Syndulla fans, represent!). There's also a multiplayer mode featuring five-vs-five dogfights and larger fleet battles, not unlike Battlefront 2's Supremacy mode.

At the time of writing, there's only one kind of Star Wars: Squadrons pre-order deal available - the standard edition. Launching October 2 2020 on PS4, Xbox One, and PC, it comes in at just $39.99 in the US and £34.99 in the UK. Considering the fact that we're getting both a single-player and multiplayer mode, that's not bad value at all.

What do you get for pre-ordering Star Wars: Squadrons, though? Besides receiving it on day one at the latest, you'll earn cosmetic upgrades to spice up your ships. More specifically, those who pre-order Star Wars: Squadrons will get Imperial Ace items (a new costume and skins for your TIE Fighters) and New Republic Recruit items (an outfit and new color-scheme for all Republic starfighters).
