SJP set to fill Vacancy

Slowly but surely, Sarah Jessica Parker seems to be chipping away at the memory of Sex And The City, tackling more diverse roles and steeper plots… Failure To Launch aside that is.

The New Yorker took time out between college campus drama Spinning Into Butter and prison-based comedy Slammer to scribble on the dotted line for Vacancy.

The high-tension flick will see SJP as one half of a distraught couple, reeling from the death of their infant son. They check into a motel, initially unaware that they are being taped on a concealed camera and will become the subjects of a snuff movie.

Written by first-time drafter Mark L Smith, with Sony’s Hal Lieberman holding the purse strings, the cameras will roll this autumn.
