It happens so, so rarely but Nintendo has actually reduced the price of the Switch, and it's throwing in a game of your choice as well for just $329 at Walmart. As a console that’s notorious for holding its value, this is a decent bargain. In fact, it’s probably one of the best Nintendo Switch bundles we’ve seen for a while - you’re saving up to $30 and can choose one of five games as well (including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, and Super Mario Party). Yes, that doesn’t sound like much of a discount in the grand scheme of things, but trust us - it’s not often that the Switch drops in price. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to pick up the system and/or are hyped for Pokemon Sword and Shield in November, now’s a good time to invest. This particular deal is also great value for money because it features some of the console’s top games. You’ll need to be quick, though. This offer ends July 27

If you’re wondering why you should grab the OG version instead of their newly-announced Nintendo Switch Lite, this one can actually, you know, switch. The original is capable of playing on your TV while docked or in handheld mode, while the Lite can only do the latter. What’s more, the Lite is marginally smaller and locked at 720p resolution. Meanwhile, the original Switch manages sharp 1080p HD on your TV (although it too is limited to 720p in handheld mode). That isn’t to criticise the Lite, of course. It’s much cheaper and is also drop-dead gorgeous. However, the standard Switch may be a better bet if you want to keep your options open. The Lite isn’t ideally placed to handle living room multiplayer, for example. You’d all be crowded round a tiny screen, which obviously isn’t ideal.

If this is the offer for you, don’t forget to check out these cheap Nintendo game deals as well to get you up and running - it features everything from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate to Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled. In addition, be sure to drop by our guide to must-have Nintendo Switch accessories. A good case always comes in handy, and Nintendo Switch SD cards are essentially to boost the system’s low 32GB of internal storage.
