Ghostbusters stars reveal threequel plot details

A few Ghostbusters 3 snippets to bring you this morning, with Sigourney Weaver and a number of her co-stars talking some bits and bobs about the forthcoming sequel.

First off, Weaver reveals that her character's son will play a key role in the new film. "I said, I have one condition'," says the star. "I want my son Oscar to be a Ghostbuster, and [ Ivan Reitman ] said, ‘We’ve already done that'."

Next up is a quote from screenwriter Etan Cohen, who says that he and Reitman are, "together for hours every week, working on it really closely," while also revealing that Dan Aykroyd is overseeing the writing process.

Then there's Rick Moranis, who has speculated on just where Louis Tully might be now: "He’s in prison, a cellmate of Bernie Madoff’s. They compete to see who can make their bed first in the morning."

And finally, Ernie Hudson hopes that Winston Zeddemore has become, "the C.E.O. of the Ghostbusters franchise. I just hope that he wouldn’t be on a walker or [ in ] a wheelchair. And hopefully we’ll still be able to wear the backpacks."

We'll see just who's on the money when the film finally arrives in cinemas. No word on that release date just yet, but we live in hope...
