Free Radical, the creator of Time Splitters, has come clean and admitted that its new FPS will be called Haze. And as well asconfirming the story that we uncovered earlier this week, it has also produced the very first screens and footage - right out of thin air.
Set 25 years into a future that has seen governments contract out their wars to private armies, you play Jake Carpenter, a green grunt who recently signed up to the mercenary Mantel army. And this futuristic force of Thatcherite funsters has access to all the finest technology, bio-enhancements, super-advanced vehicles and huge guns. In fact, just imagine Starship Troopers and you won't go too far wrong.
Being built solely for the next-gen consoles and PC, Ubisoft swears that the visuals will be "stunning", the AI "hyper-intelligent" and the firepower "devastating". It also adds that it will be fully online, feature cooperative combat and have "dazzlingly rendered outdoor and indoor environments".
We are about to start some serious jostling to try to get our hands on this striking first-person shooter so, while we are doing that, why not right-click on the movie above and download this stunning trailer.
