Garner up for Trek

Official casting on the JJ Abrams Star Trek reboot may have gone a little quiet of late but one A-lister who's thrown her hat into the ring is Jennifer Garner. The Elektra star has revealed that she's definitely open to the concept of donning latex ears to play a Vulcan - especially if it's at the request of the man who made her name in Alias. "Absolutely," she says. "Anything JJ asked me to do ever, that's a clear 'Don't even worry, the answer's yes.' I owe him." It's well known that Abrams favours recruiting people he's worked with before, and is already on record as saying that Felicity star Keri Russell would make a great Klingon. Who's next? Greg Grunberg as Scotty? Simon Pegg as Bones? We imagine they're still thrashing out the fine print on Ricky Gervais' contract for Kirk...
