Why you can trust GamesRadar+
The heart and soul of FIFA 07 is the Manager mode, putting you in charge of virtually any team, from famous international powerhouses to the depths of second-tier division scrubs. Your myriad duties include handling lineups per match, roster management (both internal and via the global transfer markets), formations, sponsorships, and scads more. Each team has a board that you'll deal with on a regular basis, so matching their agenda is necessary (unless you like spending time in the unemployment line).
There's little disappointment on the pitch either, as the "beautiful game" displays nicely on the LCD screen. The visuals are slick, and the sounds of the crowds are impressive as hell.
Admittedly, gameplay is less involved than the Winning Eleven series, but it's pretty darned intuitive. The limited control scheme doesn't allow for as much razzle dazzle as its console brethren, but between the left trigger and analog stick you can still spin as Ronaldhino and bend it like Beckham.
