While playing a current-gen console version of FIFA 07 might be a little easier (to avoid patch downloads, controller configuration, and ensure a smoother online experience), the PC title is a damn fine game in its own right. A patch or two will likely address most small issues, and if online isn't your thing then you're good to go out of the box. Just try and avoid angry diatribes to the press when things get tough - it's quite unbecoming.
