JSAUX has been in the business of producing accessories for 10 years, and it's currently dropping the prices of plenty of its goodies to celebrate, including the JSAUX EnergyFlow JoyCon Charging Dock.

The charging gadget earned a 4.5-out-of-5-star review when I took it for a ride late last year, as it not only looks pretty funky with its rainbow lighting effects, but at just $22 it was a handy yet affordable addition to my setup. Now, it's even cheaper at just $16.99 at Amazon, only a few cents off its lowest-ever price of $16.14. If you don't have additional Joy-Cons, I'd steer clear, but this $17 add-on is one of the best Nintendo Switch 2 accessories I've used to date and a dazzling tool to have in your gaming arsenal.

The JSAUX EnergyFlow Joy-Con Charging Dock is a controller holder and charger in one - perfect for anyone with an additional pair of Joy-Cons, it can charge up to four of Nintendo's controllers at a time. Essentially, you could have your handheld sitting in its dock and juicing up your original pair, while this is attached via the USB-C port charging up two more.

As with most modern gaming goodies, the EnergyFlow is alight with RGB lighting, which is super luminescent and just darn right pretty. If you find lighting on your gaming tech gaudy, you'll be glad to know that there's a button on top to turn it off. You will have to remember to do so each night, and otherwise it'll be keeping your living room illuminated, or in my case, glaring into my cat's eyes as he tried to sleep on the sofa. However, it's at least nice of JSAUX to provide the option for non-RGB fans.

If you want more JSAUX discounted goodies, it seems the celebrations aren't unique to Amazon, as you can find them on the JSAUX online store too. The EnergyFlow is available for the same $16.99 discounted price straight from the source, and I recommend having a little rummage through the rest of the brand's online store, as it's the only place to find accessories like the JSAUX 6-in-1 Switch 2 Dock, which I reviewed just last week and loved just as much.

3D printing isn't an easy hobby to get into; it can be expensive and complicated, especially if you choose a machine that isn't too beginner-friendly. However, there are some great options for newcomers if you know where to look… and it just so happens that a couple of my favorite options just went on sale.

Industry giant Elegoo is currently running a major Back to School sale with up to 45% off its many machines. I've been able to test a lot of 3D printers over the past several years, and two of my favorites (both with five-star reviews to their name) are currently included in the sale.

First up is the Elegoo Centuari Carbon 2 Combo. It's the machine I usually recommend as a good beginner 3D printer because it's so easy to use, but provides incredibly detailed prints with the option for multi-color models. This is followed by the Elegoo Saturn 4 Ultra 16K, which uses more detailed resin but keeps things simple thanks to a clever tilt-release system, heated vat, and a camera you can use to track progress.

Naturally, that's just the tip of the iceberg. You can find way more printers in the sale, but the following are the ones I'd recommend to newcomers – with an explanation as to why they're worth considering.

Which 3D printer should you get?

Torn between the two, or unsure why you'd need one over the other? It all comes down to what you want the machine to do. There are two types of 3D printer: resin and filament. Here's a breakdown of what that means.

• Filament: This is the classic kind of 3D printer that uses reels of plastic which it heats up and lays out in a pattern on the build plate. It produces very sturdy results that may not be quite as detailed as resin, but still look amazing and will stand the test of time. Perfect for cosplay, scenery, storage solutions, larger models, and props.
• Resin: Looking for small, high detail models? You want a resin machine. Even though resin is a more difficult material to work with (it's toxic and smelly so must be handled with care), it produces far better-looking models. They aren't quite as sturdy as filament miniatures, but look so much better. Ideal for D&D/wargaming models, intricate scenery, smaller cosplay items, and models where fine detail is really important.

With that in mind, the machine I'd recommend will depend on what you need. If you're hoping to create D&D models or wargaming miniatures, grab the Saturn 4 Ultra 16K. It'll produce far superior results that are on par with professional model-makers like Games Workshop if you use the right materials.

As for anyone wanting to make terrain, props, collectibles, tokens, random nick nacks, or storage solutions, it has to be the Centauri Carbon 2 Combo. Its models are so much sturdier, the material is less expensive so is better for larger projects. Plus, it's still detailed enough on a large scale that projects look fantastic when finished.

PNY has rolled out a slew of discounts across its flash storage options on Amazon in time for the back to school season. Most of what's on offer is, as you can imagine, is best suited for students, with its PRO Elite SDXC cards and flash drives receiving the biggest savings. But fortunately for Switch 2 players, I did spot its 256GB microSD Express card hiding amongst the rest of the marked-down storage.

Out of all the PNY savings, which are expected to last until August 29 later this month, the Switch 2 card is one of the smallest with just $5 off. However, at $49.99 (Amazon) it's one of the cheapest ways to get 256GB for your Switch 2 right now, which is needed more than ever when games like FF14 have landed and brought their 117GB install sizes along with them.

The discount on PNY's 256GB microSD Express card isn't huge, but it's still pretty decent when you factor in the alternatives. If you were looking at the best microSD Express Cards, you'd be pretty hard-pressed to find 256GB for less than $59 across US retailers. Both SanDisk and Samsung currently have their officially licenced cards, like the Samsung 256GB microSD Express Card, listed at their full $59 MSRPs right now, and discounts can be a bit of a rarity outside of sale periods.

This is one of the best gaming storage deals going right now, but you could save a little more if you don't mind just receiving a smaller 128GB boost. PNY's 128GB Switch 2 card is also discounted, and is down to $39.99 at Amazon, just $5.79 away from its record low price it dropped to towards the end of last year. You're not going to get double the amount of storage to play with, and I'd always recommend the 256GB option instead, particularly as Switch 2 games are getting more storage demanding all the time. However, an extra 128GB is still better than nothing and nothing to scoff over if it's all your budget can spare.

In the UK, the PNY card has no discount to be found, but that's likely as kids on this side of the pond are already gearing up to return to school. While that's a bummer, those new to the Switch 2 can alternatively pick up Nintendo's new Build Your Own Bundle, and select a 256GB card as a freebie. Though as a heads up, that's after you've bought the console and an NSO subscription.

I just finished up reviewing the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus desktop CPU and, thanks to the annual Intel Gamer Days sale, it may just be a great time to consider upgrading. Granted, it isn't the best time to be thinking about buying any of the best CPUs for gaming since the economy is in a foul state, but if you happen to have the rest of your rig assembled, or you're already on this motherboard socket and fancy an upgrade, listen up.

The TLDR here is that Newegg is currently selling the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus in a pretty decent bundle. Technically, at $219.99 at Newegg, the CPU is $20 over its launch price, which is hardly the foundation of a good deal. That said, Intel's Gamer Days means you can add a "free gift" onto your purchase, which scores you a Cooler Master AIO cooler worth $79.99 and two upcoming triple-A games, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Star Wars: Galactic Racer. Promo code BTS3113 also nets you $10 off the whole package to boot.

That pretty much means you're getting those two games (worth $119.98 in pre-order purchases) plus a cooler for that additional $10 (after the promo code) you're paying over the 250K Plus's price.

Despite the added bonuses, the CPU is really the star of the show here. After having understandably mixed experiences with the Raptor Lake CPUs, I felt like the brand had turned a new leaf after I tested the 250K Plus. Gone were the annoying temperature spikes and performance dips of the 14700K I had been using. While giving me a brilliant 4K companion to the RTX 5080 I was testing, it also stayed remarkably calm while gaming, creating content, or idling.

Temperatures were so controllable, and with an AIO installed on top of it, I had a hard time finding any task that would push it above 65 degrees Celsius. And it's no slouch in terms of value for money anyway, giving you 18 cores and 18 threads to play with.

Are there concerns about its motherboard socket not being supported for very long? Absolutely, but from everything Intel has done this year, I'm a lot more confident this is a brand that knows how vital long-term support for its platforms is going to be. If it hasn't learned that lesson by now, AMD is going to continue its momentum in the CPU market and steal a lot of its lunch.

I'd thoroughly recommend the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. Even without a discount proper, it offers unreal value for money, even compared to some of AMD's X3D chips. That's going the extra mile for a processor this affordable - honestly, I'd have been satisfied with a non-volatile refresh.

Intel's Gamer Days sale is back in action, and this year we have Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis and Star Wars Galactic Racer bundled in for free with select Intel machines and components. You'll have to wait until each title's release (October for Star Wars and a delayed February 2027 for Tomb Raider), but with a combined value of $119.98 these freebies are offsetting a few of 2026's pricing mishaps right now.

The promotion began on August 10, hitting everything from gaming laptops to gaming PCs, but I'm only seeing a handful of retailers advertising the freebies on their sites. Intel notes that it's running its giveaway with "participating partners" only, so it's worth waiting for that banner to make sure you're actually getting your freebies. At the time of writing, I've only spotted the bundle at Amazon, Newegg and on select few Microcenter gadgets. We're still waiting on Best Buy and gaming laptop brands themselves.

The best value, though, is going to be in the cheaper seats. That's where you'll find the $119.98's worth of free games doing a little more heavy lifting. With component shortages and price inflation dominating PC gaming over the course of the year so far, any chance to wiggle those numbers in your favor is going to be worth investigating. Amazon's $999 Acer Nitro V, for example, really only works out at $879 if you were interested in the games anyway - and you'd be hard pressed to find an RTX 5050 machine at that price on any given day in 2026.

Or take the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus. That's a $199.99 processor at launch, but Newegg has it listed for $209.99 (with a $10 promo code). Normally that's a thumbs down, but with the freebies thrown in (not to mention a free cooler) it's a fantastic offer.

Shortly after purchase, you'll receive your Intel Gamer Days master key used to unlock your free games. Head to Intel's Software Offer site and sign in or create an account.

You can then redeem your code by following on-screen instructions, though this must be done before October 31, 2026 to be eligible. You'll be able to download once each game becomes available, though note that you'll need to be using the Intel gadget you bought to do so.

When does Intel Gamer Days end?

Intel's Gamer Days promotional period ends on September 13, so there's still a month to see what other retailers have to offer.

We're also rounding up the best gaming handhelds and the best CPU for gamers if you're after some alternative options as well.

Once September rolls around, you can expect to pay $500 if you want to pick up a Nintendo Switch 2. The good news is that time is still on your side. You have a little over a month to avoid the price hike entirely, and if you're based in the US, I recommend grabbing the Choose Your Game bundle for $499 at Amazon to do just that.

With that cheap Nintendo Switch bundle, you get the console and a digital code to either Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. Next month, that price will just get you the console, so it's definitely worth jumping on. It hasn't made its way across the pond, so I'd recommend the Nintendo Switch 2 + Pokémon Pokopia bundle in the UK in its stead. You get the handheld and a copy of Pokopia for as little as £394 at Amazon, a price that's even far below its typical £429.99 MSRP.

While Nintendo shared that the once $449.99 console will swiftly change to its new $499.99 price point starting September 2026 in the US, the pricing in the UK was scarce. In Europe, the console is increasing from €469.99 to €499.99, so I suspect it'll be a similar jump, but we can only speculate for now.

Even without knowing the full new UK price of the console, it's easy to see how the Switch 2 + Pokopia option is a great deal. At most other UK retailers, the set is sitting at its full £429.99 MSRP, but Amazon's current price knocks £35.99 off. Not to mention, if you were to buy the console and the game separately, you'd be expected to fork out £395.99 and £58.99 respectively. That's a combined total of £454.98, but it's £60 cheaper to pick up the bundle instead.

Whatever you choose, I'd pick it up sooner rather than later. While September 1 is the big scary price increase day, there's every chance we could start to see the price changes take effect ahead of time. The only way to truly prevent paying more than you should is to suck it up and pick the new handheld up as soon as you can. Of course, you can save the most by not buying one at all, but where's the fun in that?

Much to my chagrin, today's deal price is still more than I can personally spare. Though I can't pretend I didn't contemplate adding it to my online shopping basket, particularly once I remembered that the brand does indeed ship to the UK.

While it's still expensive no matter which way you cut it, you at least get modern components for your cash. That deal price encompasses the "Core" default build, which includes a GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU, 32GB DDR5 6000MT/s of RAM, and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVME SSD. That's all sitting inside the gorgeous PC case, which doesn't just include ornate borders but UV-printed versions of both MaoMao and Jinshi on the glass.

My favorite inclusion of my beloved anime pair is not on the exterior of the case, but how they're included on the inside. This PC includes one of the brand's platelight panels, a panel of art that's backlit by an LED light. It's a purely cosmetic feature, but seeing Maomao and Jinshi's faces illuminated and peeking through the glass of the case is a sight to behold.

This $300 off deal today includes the configuration I mentioned above, the stunning Apothecary Diaries PC case, a piece of matching 12 × 18 inch wall art, a 900 × 400 mm deskmat, and the 'Another Day' Apothecary Diaries platelight, but you can pick up alternative art based from the series to place in its stead for $29.99 (Starforge Systems), as they too are discounted as part of Forge Day.

If you aren't an Apothecary Diaries fan, while I will totally judge you for your tastes, there are other anime builds to choose from. As with all its PCs, the fancier the cost, the fancier the parts, but you'll still get them all packed into the stunning anime case, which has swapped Maomao and Jinshi for everyone's favorite love-torn hero Himmel and the totally oblivious n mage Frieren.

It should be mentioned that even during a RAM shortage and the current hellscape of the PC consumer market, you don't need to spend this much to get a PC with these kinds of specs. Newegg and MSI have an equivalent RTX 5070 build currently selling for $1,749, for example. Starforge is just one of the few brands appealing to the anime fan in all of us with its exclusive case designs.

There are also MSI's Frieren PC accessories that are worth checking out, though they're still pretty new, so don't expect any juicy discounts quite yet.

I wholly expected Pokemon Pokopia's first DLC expansion to demand far more than just 3.14MB of the Switch 2's storage, but I like being proven wrong. Especially as it means that fans (myself included) can avoid picking up a pricey microSD Express Card, particularly when 512GB cards have skyrocketed in price over the last few months.

If you'd still at least like a little storage pick-me-up, you can grab an extra 128GB for as little as $39.99 at Amazon right now. Unlike higher capacity cards, it's not going to cost you almost as much as the console itself, and it's a little less than its usual $45 price range it likes to sit at today. Of course, you can save more by sticking with the Switch 2's internal storage, but an extra 128GB on top will help you with Pokopia and Ninty's upcoming releases.

The best microSD Express Cards are available in capacities up to 1TB, but that hefty storage amount comes at a hefty cost these days. If you've just invested in a Nintendo Switch 2 to avoid having to fork out for its upcoming September price cut, it's highly likely that you don't want to to drop the $371.99 (Amazon) required for a 1TB model. They used to sit at a more reasonable $199.99, but have jumped up in recent months, likely another annoying knock-on effect from the RAM & storage crisis.

As alluring as an extra 1TB is, you'll want to pick up at least an extra 128GB instead. Ideally, an extra 256GB is your best bet, as that will double up your available on-board storage.

Remember, the base Pokemon Pokopia game is only 6.3 GB, so that's plenty for it and the new DLC. You could even download the recent Switch 2 Star Fox and its 15.1 GB worth of data, and the 13.1 GB worth of Splatoon Raiders, and you'd still have space left over. I'd just recommend grabbing this deal before its price goes the way of its 1TB counterpart.

Many of the best gaming handhelds have seen their prices shoot North in 2026 so far, and the Steam Deck is among the more egregious MSRP increases. Now sitting at $789 in its basic 512GB configuration, the Steam Deck OLED - like the rest of the market - has seen a considerable markup in recent months. That's why the few discounts we do see are so important.

One of Valve's biggest competitors has just delivered. The Lenovo Legion Go S has dropped to $635.54 at the brand's own store this week (was $1,137.41). I'm normally checking back in on discounts of just a couple hundred bucks here, but we're down a full 44% right now - a hair over $500 in your pocket.

This is where I get the bad news out of the way. We didn't review the Lenovo Legion Go S particularly favorably - but I'll caveat that with the fact that Phil checked out the Windows version. A lot of their concerns stem from that finnicky handheld operating system - taking Microsoft out of the picture the handheld received "almost full marks for design" while its adjustable triggers and improved controls garnered praise as well.

At launch, with last year's pricing landscape, the Legion Go S felt a little short with its AMD Ryzen Z2 GO processor. Today? Things look a little more favorable in light of that new $635 price tag.

After all, this thing comfortably beat out the much older Steam Deck OLED in our benchmarks - all with a larger, faster display running at a higher resolution. No, you're not getting that OLED panel up top, but you are getting a more impressive screen overall.

Here's how we benched the Windows version last year:

Ultimately, if you're looking for a mid-range handheld in the three-figure price range right now you've got three options; pay over the odds for a Steam Deck OLED, pay slightly over for the Lenovo Legion Go S, or opt for the $600 Xbox ROG Ally.

If you're after a Windows experience, there's no problem. Ditch the deal, head to Amazon, and grab the $599 ROG Ally. You'll be dropping speed from the Z2 Go's additional GPU cores, but you'll have an easier time loading games from other storefronts. Otherwise, today's discount alleviates some of the pricing pressure we've been feeling in the mid-range handheld market for some time now.

Pokemon Pokopia's first-ever DLC is landing on the Nintendo Switch 2 on August 5, 2026, introducing a new underwater 'Bubby Basin' habitat that you can help bring to life. The new trailer showed off the adorable Popplio and other water-types frolicking under the waves, and if those drops of cuteness have convinced you to finally invest in the new handheld, then you should check out this Nintendo Switch 2 + Pokopia bundle.

It includes the handheld and a digital copy of Pokopia, and you get that adorable box with Ditto's infectious grin printed on the side. Better yet, it's down to just £399 at Amazon right now, instead of its usual £429.99 MSRP. Over the past couple of weeks, the bundle has been sitting at £424, so you're saving £25 here - just gather £4 more, and you can pick up the Bubbly Basin expansion too.

This Nintendo Switch 2 bundle might have been sitting at £424 recently at Amazon, but if you factor in that it's typically found at its full £429.99 price at the official Nintendo store, then you're really saving £30.99 today. That more than covers the £29.99 (Nintendo) cost of the new Pokopia DLC. Which, by the way, provides you with access to not just Part 1 of the game's new content, but the next two waves of DLC too.

Part 2 of the Pokopia expansion is set to arrive in late 2026 and introduces the option to give your Poke pals a little makeover. Just when I thought Peakychu couldn't get even cuter, Nintendo chose to include them in a little maid hat and wings in the trailer, which was cuteness overload. While Nintendo states that there's no new town included with Part 2, you will get access to "add some new flair to your surroundings", alongside new furniture and new Pokemon. Fingers crossed that means we'll get some new wallpaper options, as I'm getting a bit sick and tired of seeing plain white walls when it comes to my Palette Town builds.

Part 3 doesn't launch until sometime in 2027, so you'll have to be a little patient. Of course, you don't have to bother with the DLC if you don't want to. If you don't grab it, I do recommend buying this cheap Nintendo Switch bundle as soon as possible, not only to ensure you save £25, but as the handheld is getting its first price increase this coming September. In a month's time, it's going to be at least £30 more expensive here in the UK, and that's without a download code for Pokemon Pokopia too.

Marvel's Wolverine could very well be one of the last Insomniac games to ever get a physical release. Sony's decision to put an end to physical releases after January 2028 means it's very likely that I won't be adding more of the studio's PS5 titles to my shelf after my beloved Marvel's Spider-Man 2, one of my favorite modern games over the last 10 years.

That realisation is why I was pretty comfortable paying full price for Marvel's Wolverine just to ensure I was sent a physical copy for my collection on its September 15 release day, but I'm far happier with its new pre-order deal. Smyths Toys has dropped the £69.99 MSRP down to £57.99 (Smyths Toys) right now, which means I've saved £12 off the game and it's not even out yet.

One of the reasons why I adore physical PS5 games so much is not just because I like to have a physical game sitting on my shelf so I can gaze lovingly at the box art, but because I can take advantage of deals like this one.

A quick check of the PlayStation online store shows the game available for its full £69.99 (PlayStation Store) MSRP, with no discounts in sight. Had I only had this option to pre-order the game, I would not have been able to take advantage of that £12 off, which is very likely going towards another physical game, if I'm honest. I'm looking at you, Silent Hill: Townfall.

If you're based in the US, the early pre-order discounts aren't as fun to sink your Wolverine claws into. At retailers like GameStop and Best Buy, the game is listed at its full $69.99 price, unfortunately. However, PS5 titles are so prone to price drops, even mere weeks ahead of release, so I recommend bookmarking out Marvel's Wolverine pre-order page to keep up to date with the best prices, which is curated by yours truly.

I'm in dire need of a new PS5 controller. My current DualSense spread has taken a bit of a beating, and I get a sense that they all suffer from a little bit of stick drift. That being said, I don't entirely feel comfortable forking out the $74-79 required for a replacement pad.

With that in mind, I've been considering investing in an out-of-box controller, and seeing that you can grab one for as little as $25.99 at Best Buy right now is definitely a good motivator. That's a saving of $48 off a brand new model, and better yet, it's the stunning Cobalt Blue version and not the garish-looking white pad that I already own.

If you're considering grabbing this lovely blue PS5 pad for yourself, do remember that it's an "open box" controller. That means that it's been "opened and returned by another customer" according to Best Buy, which is a nice way of saying that it's already been played with.

As is the case whenever you buy any of the best PS5 controllers second hand, you can expect some general wear and tear and light cosmetic damage to the pad, but it should be in full working order. In fact, Best Buy has given this controller in particular an "excellent" rating, which means it should work and look like new, and that includes all the parts and accessories. That being said, you're likely not getting the box it originally came in, but who needs more packaging when it's just going to end up in your recycling bin anyway?

If you aren't entirely comfortable buying a pre-loved PS5 controller, I get it. You can alternatively pick up a brand new DualSense for $69 at Best Buy, saving you $10 off the shimmering Chroma Indigo model. It also happens to be blue, but it includes a bit more of a sparkle and will be brand-new and includes all the packaging for your storing or recycling pleasure.

Even though they've just been revealed and have been available to pre-order for a few short hours, Hasbro's Avengers: Doomsday action figures are already proving difficult to find.

To be precise, a few key characters are already selling out at major retailers. Doctor Doom and the X-Men (Cyclops and Gambit) seem to be the most popular so far, with stock evaporating across the US and UK. Considering how quickly they're being snapped up, I thought it might be helpful to round up places where you can still buy the Hasbro Avengers: Doomsday action figures. (As a note, I'm only collecting the ones that are available right now - others, like the Fantastic Four and Magneto, will drop later this year.)

While I'm shocked to see these toys running out so quickly, I shouldn't be. For starters, they look fantastic; they absolutely nail the characters' on-screen look and likeness, providing the most screen-accurate collectible you're likely to find short of grabbing the (much more expensive) Hot Toys equivalents. Plus, excitement for Marvel is at an all-time high, what with the latest trailer and a slew of exciting SDCC 2026 reveals (such as Lego Avengers: Doomsday sets giving us our best look at a major returning X-Men hero). With that in mind, I suppose it makes sense that the Doomsday action figures are flying off the shelves.

The Nintendo Switch 2's first-ever price increase is rolling out this September, making now the best chance you've got to try and grab the console for as cheap as you possibly can.

Once September 1 rolls around, you'll be looking at spending $500 on the Ninty machine alone, but today you can pick up the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World bundle for $419 at Woot instead. This bundle includes the console and a download code for Mario Kart World, which typically costs you $499.99, but thanks to Woot, you're saving a massive $80.99, which is more than enough to pick up an extra game, or a shiny new Switch 2 Pro controller if that's what you fancy.

As a pre-loved console, you should expect some minor cosmetic damage for sure, but Woot insists that the handheld has "successfully passed a full diagnostic test" that ensures "like-new functionality" and the removal of any of the previous owner's information and logins. Even though it has been owned by someone previously, the download code for the game has not been used either, so you can feel at ease knowing you'll be able to redeem your Mario Kart World download and start drifting through the new free-roam mode in no time.

If it weren't for pre-owned Nintendo consoles, I wouldn't be here writing these very words, so I appreciate that they can still be a more affordable option to get newer tech in many people's handhelds. However, if for whatever reason you aren't comfortable with a second-hand machine, you could alternatively grab the Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game bundle.

You'll be looking at spending $499 at Amazon for it, so you won't get that lovely $80 discount like at Woot today. However, it's still a cheaper option than Nintendo Switch bundle deals you can expect when September rears its ugly head in a little over a months time. Better yet, you can actually pick the game you want too. Not a Mario Kart fan? That's fine, as you can grab a download code for Donkey Kong Bananza or Pokemon Pokopia instead, the choice is yours.

Sony's Days of Play sales have long since ended, and I had assumed all of its deals ended with it. However, both the Death Stranding 2 On the Beach Collector's Edition and the Ghost of Yotei Collector's Edition, which include copies of the game and a smorgasbord of exclusive physical goodies, have returned with the same set of savings as the annual Sony event.

For a limited time, you can grab the Death Stranding 2 On the Beach CE for just $129.99 (PS Direct) and the Ghost of Yotei CE for as low as $149.99 (PS Direct), saving yourself $100 off each. These savings are part of a wider sale at PS Direct, which includes discounts on PSVR2 and even a rare deal on the 8TB WD BLACK Internal SN850P SSD. However, unless you have a spare $1,099.99 to spend on a spot of storage, I recommend sticking to these collector editions to get your PS5 deal fill while they're available until August 10, 2026.

Before you add either Death Stranding 2 or Ghost of Yotei to your online PS Direct shopping basket, I do need to give you a major heads up: neither one of these collector's editions includes a physical game.

As if the fact that there will be no new physical PS5 games after 2028 wasn't disappointing enough, these fancy and merch-filled versions of both games have included a digital download far before Sony made its big announcement earlier this month. That means that while you'll get a boatload of physical merchandise for each title, both Death Stranding 2 On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei are included as digital downloads. There aren't even empty boxes to add to your shelf, as is the case with the upcoming Grand Theft Auto 6, which is mega disappointing.

With that in mind, it's better if you see these deals as ways to get your hands on some exclusive collectibles above all else. The glorious 15-inch Magellan Man Statue, which was CG modeled, 3D printed, and produced under the watchful eyes of Metal Gear Solid artist and industry legend Yoji Shinkawa, is only found within this version of Death Stranding 2, and cannot be bought separately unless you're okay searching through the mines of second-hand sites like eBay and dealing with its extortionate prices.

Considering you get it, a 3-inch Dollman figure, art cards, a letter from big-man Hideo Kojima, and a fancy box to keep it all in feels worthwhile enough at $100 off today. You could think of the fact that the game and some in-game extras are included as a little extra, rather than the focus. At least, that's what I'm going to do as a physical game girlie.

I used to love the heroes in a half-shell as a kid, but I didn't really remember how much until I cracked open some MTG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle booster packs. This crossover is such a love letter to the series, with deep cuts that had me going "oh yeah, I remember them!" and generally geeking out.

Designed to be fully compatible with core Magic: The Gathering, MTG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cards can be played with most match types… and they're currently a lot cheaper to get hold of than usual thanks to Best Buy's Black Friday in July sale. Numerous box sets – from the co-op Turtle Team-Up to fast-paced Draft Night – are on offer right now, and the prices here are far better than I'm seeing at the likes of Amazon. Because Magic's one of the best card games, such massive savings aren't as common.

Now, there is some consternation amongst the community about crossover sets like these because of whether or not they 'fit' Magic's aesthetic… not to mention how they're taking up increasingly more space on the release schedule. Indeed, the issue recently blew up when MTG head designer Mark Rosewater says fans must adapt or "walk away" if they don't like Universes Beyond. While I agree with those concerns (it's jarring to see Donatella fighting alongside high fantasy goblins, for example, and I'm bummed out at them taking up 50% of the lineup), I don't think you could ever claim that Magic isn't putting 100% into the design of releases like MTG Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Besides boasting sumptuous art, they have clever mechanics – like Sneak, which allows you to swap out cards and hit your opponent with a nasty surprise – that genuinely enrich the game. As such, I do understand the appeal.

Particularly if you're a diehard fan of the franchise in question. Like I say, I was instantly transported back to being a kid in front of the cartoon on Saturday morning when opening packs, and that's the kind of feeling I wish I could bottle.

I've already gone on record about how good I think they are, so I'd say they're well worth grabbing - and from what I've seen so far, speed is of the essence if you want to buy Hasbro Legend of Zelda action figures. I've spent over a year getting deep, down, and dirty with a smorgasbord of the best Nintendo Switch 2 accessories, but the Lululook Gaming Pillow Stand might be the weirdest I've tested so far.

This big boy (and trust me, it's pretty big) is a $64.99 (Amazon) stand that can suspend your handheld while providing a place to put your phone, and a few handfuls of crisps should you be peckish for some carbohydrates. Rather than being a device that hooks onto your bedside table, which I use frequently alongside my iPad for catching up with Netflix in bed, this stand is attached to a large padded pillow which you can place directly on your lap.

Curling up with my Switch 2 under the covers is my favorite pastime, and this Lululook accessory has made it considerably more enjoyable. That being said, its full price is on par with new Switch 2 games, which might be an understandably hard sell for many. Fortunately, it's at least down to £64.99 at Amazon in the UK right now, which makes me slightly more comfortable with recommending it today if you too love nothing more than getting cozy in bed with your Ninty handheld.

I've mentioned it a few times in my past accessory write-ups, but I have something called hypothyroidism. One of the main symptoms of the illness is joint pain, which I get predominantly in my knees, wrists, and fingers. As you can imagine, it makes gaming a sometimes painful experience (and not just when I frequently lose a match in Marvel Rivals), but during the past few weeks, I've been able to take the pressure off my wrists by using this Switch 2 pillow.

The Switch 2 isn't as notoriously heavy as the best gaming handhelds like the Steam Deck OLD, but any time I can negate a bit of its weight off my wrists is an opportunity I'm going to take full advantage of. This accessory allows just that, and I've had a far nicer time only having to put up with the weight of the Joy-Cons and not the console as a whole. I know it's not designed as an accessibility aid, but I appreciate that it can be one, and one I'm going to continue to rely on during all future pain flare-ups.

While taking the pillow out for a spin, I had less achy wrists and games like Pokemon Pokopia at eye level while cozied up in my duvet's warm embrace, and it was pretty sweet. The stand is so lightweight that I barely felt it on my achy legs either, and it was just as comfortable to play on the sofa, especially as I didn't have to crank my neck to look up at my TV.

The only big part of the pillow I didn't resonate with (besides its price) was its bowl. There's a little ridge just above it that's handy for keeping your smartphone upright, which I appreciated as a tool to easily look at Pokopia guides. Yet the bowl always felt like it was trying to coerce me into mindlessly snacking. There's nothing in the brand's marketing spiel that suggests you have to use it to store 'unhealthy' snacks, but the marketing images do include crisps, which is a bit annoying when I'm actively trying not to mindlessly game and snack at the same time.

I imagine anyone with a healthier relationship to food would probably find the bowl pretty neat, but I wasn't a fan. I ended up using it to store my Joy-Con controllers when I needed a break, and I advise anyone else to do the same who doesn't want to get into a habit of late-night snacking in bed. On a positive note, the bowl is at least really easy to clean. It features a large dial underneath that can be turned to unlock it from the foam padding so you can easily run it under the tap. It really feels like Lululook thought of everything - well, besides that some may not be comfortable with its eye-watering price tag.

All in all, this is not an accessory that I'd insist every Switch 2 player needs in their setup. But if you prefer handheld mode, love gaming in bed and don't already own a Switch 2 stand of any kind, it's a weird and wonderful gadget to have at your disposal. Hopefully it's £12 off in the UK right now should help make it a little more accessible too.

RTX 5080 gaming laptop deals haven't been looking too healthy as of late. The high-end rigs have taken the year's component shortages hard, with MSRPs scaling up the price ladder and the regular sale prices we'd grown accustomed to disappearing from the shelves. HP seems to have a surplus of older HP Omen Max machines in its warehouse this week, though.

The RTX 5080 configuration of the best gaming laptop I've tested has taken a tumble all the way down to $2,299.99 (was $3,799.99) in a sale that makes me feel a year younger already. There was a time when these machines settled at between $2,000 and $2,500 when discounts were applied (depending on whether you opted for an OLED or IPS display), but prices have been stuck closer to $3,000 for a few months now.

This is last year's model, the newer versions are branded as HyperX Omen Max, but it's those 2025 releases that hold all the power right now. 2026 has seen RAM shortages pushing prices of new gaming laptops sky-high - RTX 5060 machines now cost RTX 5070 prices and even the new 12GB RTX 5070 models are going to have a tough time defending their rates. Stock of last year's machines, however, has managed to fend off these increases a little longer. Yes, they're seeing their own surges now that demand is starting to squeeze supplies a little tighter, but you'll generally find better rates overall.

It's handy, then, that the HP Omen Max 16 is actually a standout machine in its own right. I gave this rig 4.5/5 stars in my review last year, with only that particularly low battery life taking away from full marks. This isn't one to cart around all day without access to a plug point, but if you're happy keeping a charger (or USB-C) in your bag, you're getting a fantastic design and excellent performance all in one.

The spec on offer above matches the laptop I had on my test bench exactly, with that high-end Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor supporting the full RTX 5080 experience. In testing, it beat the similarly specced Asus ROG Zephyrus G16 and even the RTX 5090 Razer Blade 16 across Time Spy and Fire Strike, only just nudging under the latter in Steel Nomad.

At full QHD+ resolution and in each game's highest graphical setting, this 16-incher was pummelling lighter benchmarks like Shadow of the Tomb Raider (average 192fps) and Total War: Three Kingdoms (average 113fps), while keeping well above the 60fps baseline in Cyberpunk 2077's RT:Ultra run (average 70fps).

In short, this is a slimline and stylish gaming laptop that doesn't sacrifice performance for a more manageable form factor. That's something even the Asus ROG Zephyrus G and Razer Blade lines can't always match.

We all know it seems like dark days ahead for console gamers, what with the end of physical media and ever-increasing hardware prices. But something that I think has gone unreported is that peripherals for PS5 and Xbox Series X tend to be more expensive than PC equivalents. Case in point, the best PC controller in my opinion is the Victrix Pro BFG, and while it has bespoke versions for PS5, Xbox, and PC, the latter doesn't need to make up for expensive licensing costs.

As such, it's seeing a $50 discount right now while the console editions stay at their regular price. Over in Best Buy's Black Friday in July sale, you can get the BFG Reloaded for $139.99 when it usually costs you $189.99.

Now, to be fair, the Xbox and PS5 versions of the Victrix Pro BFG will work on their respective consoles, as well as on a PC. I'm not sure the same can be said of the PC model, as without official licensing for either machine and potentially incorrect connectivity protocols, you'll be locked to just PC gaming with it. That might be absolutely fine for a large swathe of you, but it does call into question the value for money if you do own more than one platform.

Regardless, the lack of that official licensing is likely why we're seeing it discounted when the other two are at full price. I review all sorts of PS5 controllers, Xbox Series X controllers, and TMR controllers, and if there's a common trend, it's that the "pro" level ones for consoles tend to be pricier than a lot of the ones just designed for PC, even while they're all essentially offering the same features.

Regardless, the Victrix Pro BFG and Victrix Pro BFG for Xbox have been long-reigning monarchs at the top of our controller buying guides. Even as this pad begins to age, it still offers a lot of value for money thanks to its fully modular design that lets you flip it between a symmetrical and asymmetrical controller on a whim. It has four large back buttons that make them easy to implement into your gameplay, and a slew of attachments in its carrying case.

Interestingly, with this PC-only version, you miss out on the fight-pad module from the console editions. I'm not really sure why, since this is a big perk of the controller's offering that allows fighting game fans to have six face buttons like they would on an arcade fightstick.

However, if you've been looking at the Steam Controller for its fancy mouse-emulating trackpads, the PC version might be a nice alternative, since its touchpad is said to emulate a mouse too. I haven't gone hands-on with this version of the controller, nor tested this particular feature, so I can't speak to how well that works, but it could be a really great way to navigate your PC from the couch if it works.

You can also look at what Switch 2 controllers I'd recommend, or find your perfect PC racing wheel.

I'm not gonna make a splash by pretending that 13.1 GB is a lot of space. As it's simply not, especially when you consider that games like Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade demand 90.4 GB instead.

Yet, if your handheld is already struggling to make room, there's every chance you might want to make sure you have one of the best Nintendo Switch 2 microSD Express Cards in your corner. Savings of these speedy storage options pop up all the time, but the fluctuating costs of SSDs have had their effect on these cards too, making it hard to decipher what's actually a reasonable price worth grabbing.

I've waded my way through the sea of current discounted Switch 2 compatible cards and picked out the three I'd grab if I were looking for 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB worth of space. That way, you should be sorted when Splatoon Raiders launches on July 23, and for all the Switch 2 games that 2026 still has to bring to the surface.

The first wave of Switch 2 microSD Express Cards launched for $54.99 from Samsung and SanDisk and are usually the ones I recommend first and foremost. However, they very rarely budge from their $59.99 (Amazon) price tag, and so you're much better off settling for this PNY alternative instead if you want a bargain. That is, if you're okay going without the fancy Super Mario branding.

The PNY alternative I've listed first above provides the same additional 256GB worth of space. Not to mention that it boasts similar faster 890MB/s read and up to 750MB/s write speeds compared to the Samsung 256GB microSD Express Card's quoted 800 MB/s.

For those after a bit more, as of typing, PNY has also dropped $20 off the next capacity up - its 512GB card. Being able to add an extra 512GB to your Switch 2 for under the $100 mark is pretty unheard of these days, especially when alternatives like Lexar have their equivalent model for $199.99 at Amazon instead. Naturally, Lexar's version boasts higher speeds, but if you care more about sticking to your budget, the PNY option is one of the best ways to go today.

When it comes to grabbing 1TB for the Switch 2, the pricing situation is a little prickly. For example, I reviewed the 1TB PNY microSD Express Card earlier this year, and it launched for $199.99. It's currently sitting at $371.99 at Amazon, and I have a feeling that the rising costs of the best SSDs for gaming and the ongoing RAM storage crisis are to blame.

It's pretty challenging to find any 1TB options below the $300 mark in fact, which is little disconcerting. However, I did spot that the Lexar 1TB Play PRO microSD Express Card, which is as high as $349.99 at other retailers, is down to $314.95 at Best Buy instead. That's still a huge amount to spend on storage when it comes to the Switch 2. However, that $35 off option is one of the best I've found amongst the sea of 1TB cards out there.

Best Buy's Black Friday in July sale has returned for 2026, and this year we've got a pretty solid split between PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC kit. While some heavy hitters have been left at full price, I'm seeing some of the biggest tech of the last 12 months returning to record-low prices, from the Hall effect Asus ROG Falcata keyboard to the previously stubborn Razer DeathAdder V4 Pro. Even premium Nintendo Switch 2 accessories like the Resident Evil Requiem Pro Controller are in the mix.

Games are getting involved as well, though now we know there's a limited shelf life on these PS5 discs. Borderlands, Alan Wake, and Assassin's Creed fans can still get their discounted cases in the cart, though, while Nintendo Switch players have more Shadows and Kirby Air Riders to munch on as well.

I've scrolled through Best Buy's entire Black Friday in July sale and, while we're not quite at holiday levels of fever pitch with these discounts, there's still plenty to take advantage of. This isn't just a random grab-bag of offers, though. I'm only highlighting the tech and games we've had in our hands and actively recommend every day. Not only that, but I'm keeping this list limited to those gadgets at (or very near) their lowest prices of the year. That's the best tech and its best price.

Victrix Pro BFG

The Victrix Pro BFG has been our top controller for PC, Xbox Series X, and PS5 for some time now, but the PC-focused Reloaded version is usually stuck at around $170 when on sale. Originally starting life at $209.99, Best Buy's $50 discount is actually a $70 saving on that launch price.

The original seems to have been run off the shelves at Amazon, with only the newer model now available. Both offer that full modular swap system, though, with new controls popped in and out of the chassis with only a quick unscrewing job.

This model doesn't come with the fightpad module we loved on the previous iterations, though it is available separately for $24.99 (Turtle Beach) separately if you need it. Still, you're getting our top pro controller customization and the excellent performance that's headlined our guide to the best PC controllers for a solid discount here.

Razer Basilisk V3

If I had a dollar for every time I recommended the Razer Basilisk V3, I could just about buy the DeathAdder V4 Pro. This is a budget-friendly wired rodent with the guts to take on the vast majority of casual and lightly competitive play, plenty of buttons to play with, and a slick underglow RGB effect that looks fantastic. It's on sale a lot. In fact, it's been years since that $69.99 MSRP poked its head out, but as the best gaming mouse for sheer value it's always going to get a mention when it pops down to $34.99.

For your money, you're getting a comfortable, reliable, 26,000 DPI mouse with a wide back, ample thumb shelf, and battery-free design.

Sure, it's not going to make the most sense if you're a more competitive player and that cable can drag across a desktop - but for those after a simple point'n'clicker it's almost always my first recommendation.

SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless

The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless headlined our best gaming headset guide for years, only to be knocked off the top spot by its successor, the SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Omni. This is still a fantastic headset, though, combining some of the best audio in the market with unique extra features that really do enhance the quality of your experience.

The biggest bonus comes in the form of those hot-swappable batteries. The 2.4GHz connection hub (/DAC / EQ customizer) charges one battery pack while the other slots into the headset. When the headset dies, simply swap them over - no charging cable needed.

We're just two weeks out from Sony's disastrous decision to kill discs after 2028, and the PS5 price itself is sitting at an all-time high. That's enough to make any Crash Bandicoot fan wince. So where do you go if you're looking to investigate Sony's exclusives? You're certainly not buying it from the brand itself.

The PS5 Slim Digital Edition now costs an incredible $599 - a full $200 more expensive than the original launched for six years ago. PS Direct's Certified Refurbished scheme used to be the way to go, but even they've run out of digital devices this week. All you'll find on those shelves are Disc editions for $550.

Thankfully, Best Buy seems to have taken another look in the cupboard this week, and come up with a batch of original Digital Edition PS5 consoles - at just $349.99 a piece.

This is the original release, so you're getting the chunkier form factor and just a tiny bit less storage. It's also worth noting that, should you decide to give those disks one last hurrah, this older model isn't compatible with the separate drives Sony started adding to the paperweight market last year.

Still, if you're happy to embrace our digital future, picking up the PS5 Digital Edition and a PS Plus Extra subscription will keep you in the green for a couple of years to come. At $134.99 for 12 months, you've got the best part of two years before you hit the usual $600 selling price for a brand new PS5 Slim Digital Edition.

Is it ideal? No, ideally we'd be at a discounting point in the PS5's life cycle and Sony wouldn't be taking drastically blatant steps to kill game ownership and make the hobby less accessible in the name on its bottom line. We are where we are though, and if you're after a PS5 this week this is where you should be putting your cash.

With the first Nintendo Switch 2 price increase fast approaching like a Mario Kart blue shell waiting in the wings, now is the best time to grab the new handheld.

Once September hits, you'll be expected to fork out $500 instead of its usual $449.99 for the standalone console. Whereas you can currently grab the Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game Bundle for the same price. While a great bargain in its own right (you're essentially saving up to $30 off a digital first-party Nintendo title), Amazon has knocked a further $49 off (Amazon) for a select lucky few.

Even if you aren't one of the privileged few to get access to this $49 off deal, the Nintendo Switch 2 Choose Your Game bundle is a bargain in its own right.

Think about it: the standard console costs $449,99. If you were to grab it and Pokemon Pokopia digitally, for example, that would collectively cost you $519.98. Instead, you can get the game and the handheld for $19 less, a small saving but one that feels more important than ever at a time when gaming is getting pricier by the day.

Of course you don't have to stick with Pokemon Pokopia. It just so happens to be the game I'd recommend the most after spending almost 100 hours of pure joy building habitats for my Pokemon pals. With this bundle, you can instead choose Donkey Kong Bananza or Mario Kart World too - the choice is entirely up to you.

Whatever game you pick, just make sure to pick this cheap Switch bundle up before the price increases roll around later in the year. For you UK Nintendo fans, there is no Choose Your Game official alternative. That being said, I recommend grabbing the new Switch 2 + Pokemon Pokopia bundle for £424 at Amazon for the closest saving.

Razer is known for its cat-ear headsets, but the Kraken Kitty V3 Pro is the set I'd recommend the most for those after the purrr-fect pair.

While the majority of the Kraken Kitty line is full of limiting wired or Bluetooth-only headsets, the Kraken Kitty V3 Pro is the first to bring 2.4GHz into the mix. Its extra wireless options don't make it an entirely no-brainer recommendation as its $179.99 MSRP is a bit much for its boasted features. However, today's discounted $104.99 rate at Amazon feels far more reasonable, especially as it's never been this cheap before.

There's always a bit of an assumption that headsets that cater to players with a love of everything cute and cozy must be pretty rubbish, but the Kraken Kitty V3 Pro is proof that's not the case. While it's definitely priced a bit higher than I'd like on a normal discount-free day, this is still a fantastic wireless option.

Finding a pair with a trio of connectivity options around the $100 mark isn't a difficult feat, but it's important when you consider that so many of Razer's other pairs aimed at 'cute and cozy' players are usually wired or Bluetooth only. Even the most recently announced Cinnamoroll Edition Razer Kraken Kitty V2 BT pair drops 2.4GHz.

Those after a cute pair with customizable Chroma-powered RGB ears deserve to take advantage of a low-latency wireless connection as much as anyone.

The headset also features the brand's 40 mm Razer TriForce Titanium audio drivers, the very ones found in the Razer Barracuda X Chroma -one of my favorite Razer releases.

Amazon states that today's Razer Kraken Kitty V3 Pro headset is a "limited time" deal, and as of typing, 53% of people have already claimed one for their own setups. That's not too surprising given this is the lowest I've ever seen for this headset, which I'm more used to seeing marked down to $129.99, as it was during March earlier this year. But with that in mind, you need to be quick if you want to pick this up for a price that seems more than reasonable for its specs on offer.

If you're not a cat person, I've also rounded up the best PC headsets for gaming, the best PS5 headsets, and the best Xbox Series X headsets for your setup.

Uh, excuse me, but who gave permission for Amazon to slash the price of new Lego Pokemon sets? I mean, I'm not complaining, but still. Seeing as everyone's gone nuts for the newly-revealed kits and they're not even out yet, I wasn't expecting a discount so soon.

You can currently get a small but respectable saving on both Lego Arcanine and Munchlax in the UK, bringing them down to a record low (which isn't hard, seeing as these Lego Pokemon sets were only announced last week). Seeing as both take cues from Lego Eevee, AKA one of the best Lego sets, that's even more noteworthy.

Unfortunately, none of the other newly-announced Lego sets (the Polly Pocket-style Poke Ball diorama, Rayquaza set, or Red Up-Scaled Minifigure) are on offer. This abrupt discount does mean I'll keep a much closer eye on them going forward, though.

Plus, I suspect most fans will be happier with these being given an early price cut anyway. They started out at a much more affordable level to begin with, and because one of the most consistent criticisms of Lego Pokemon thus far has been high costs, that's gonna turn heads.

I'd hoped for a discount on these kits at some point (perhaps in the autumn, around Black Friday time), but this soon? Phew.

The Super Mario Wonder amiibo line-up was a big deal when they launched alongside the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of the game earlier this year. The set marked Captain Toad's debut in amiibo debut, and now the adorable adventurer just got another first- its first-ever discount.

The amiibo trio launched for $24.99 on March 26, 2026, but the entire lineup is now a little over $5 off each at Walmart today. That includes not just Captain Toad and the Talking Flower by his side, but the Poplin & Prince Florian and Elephant Mario figures, the latter of which is currently sitting amongst my ever-growing collection. Out of my 150+ figures, Elephant Mario is one of the most detailed yet, and if Toad and Poplin are anything like him, this set is well worth adding to your collection, discount or not.

I know a little over $5 off might not seem like a big deal, but it should be if you're an amiibo collector and want to add more of the best Nintendo Switch 2 accessories to your setup. These figures are currently sitting on the digital Nintendo online store shelves for their full $24.99 MSRP, which makes these discounts a bit of a rarity.

Typically, it's the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom and Street Fighter 6 figures that are prone to discounts, not these 2026 releases. With that in mind, it's nice to see other characters drop down in price, especially when these are some of the most detailed amiibo I've seen so far.

When the Elephant Mario arrived at my door shortly after launch, I was hugely impressed. Not only is he a bit larger than what I'm used to, but the quality control is exquisite. There are no visible sculpt or mould lines, and every drop of paint is exactly where it should be. Better yet, Mario's overalls include a denim-like texture, and he's even got a unique base that perfectly ties into the floral world of Super Mario Bros Wonder, which makes it stand out amongst the rest of my collection.

If you're eager to add Elephant Mario to your gaming shelf, I recommend grabbing him along with the rest of the Super Mario Bros Wonder amiibo line-up while these discounts last. They're even worthwhile at full price, but there's a collective $15 saving to be found here, which you could put towards even more amiibo. What sounds more elephantastic than that?

The Lenovo Legion Pro 7i has always been an absolute unit of a machine, so it makes sense for the brand to pump as much power as it can into this 16-inch chassis. The mid-2026 refresh that hit the shelves this week only makes a minor change to its specs under the hood. Rather than the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX that previously headlined the best gaming laptops on the market, the 2026 iteration has opted for an Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus.

For the hefty MSRP of $5,478.99 (currently $4,463.99 at Lenovo). The two processors share the same core and thread count, aim to operate within the same power limits, and split the work of those cores the same way (8x Performance and 16x Efficient). That's a problem with the RTX 5080 equivalent from last year is currently down to $2,649 (was $3,499) at B&H.

Gaming laptop prices have been soaring all year, but things have stepped up in the last few weeks. New 2026 releases were always going to lag behind their previous iterations from a value standpoint - components like RAM and storage are far more expensive than they were during the last release cycle. However, those older rigs have started to see their prices shift north as demand for cheaper rigs squeezes retailers' remaining inventory, making finding even an RTX 5060 for under $1,400 a feat.

Still, there's a difference between knowing why an RTX 5080 gaming laptop costs $5,000 and actually being willing to pay that amount for a similar performance to last year. The Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus and Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX (found in the 2025 iteration above) both offer a 24-core, 24-thread setup, with the newer chip edging slightly ahead in its max 5.5GHz boost rate (vs. the 275HX's 5.4GHz). By all accounts, though, real-world performance is enhanced by around 6-7%. The price difference between these two builds? 68.5%.

You're getting the same QHD+ OLED display running at the full 240Hz refresh rate, with both models offering 32GB DDR5 RAM and the older version actually doubling your storage to 2TB.

It's the big guy's 45th anniversary, and if that's got you feeling misty-eyed, what better way to celebrate than with a roundup of the best Donkey Kong merch?

My colleagues and I have gone looking for DK's coolest collectibles in honor of the event, and you'll find them all below. These range from t-shirts to contenders for the best toys crown. Crucially, they've been chosen based on our own experience or because they're the coolest-looking, most highly-rated goodies available online. We genuinely think this is some of the best Donkey Kong merch around.

I'd like to think I would know. DK's been one of my favorite Nintendo characters since the early '90s when I played Donkey Kong Country on SNES (it's the first series I actively went out of my way to buy), so I've got some pretty strong feelings about what you should prioritize when it comes to the best Donkey Kong merch. As an example, I'll always point fans toward amiibo first and foremost. These highly detailed figures may be designed to work as Switch/Switch 2 accessories that provide in-game bonuses, but they're gorgeous statuettes in their own right (like my current favorite, the DK and Pauline design you can find at Best Buy). In other words, they're the perfect addition to any shelf even if you never use them with the consoles. Similarly, I adore this heavily themed baseball cap currently on the Nintendo Store. Besides being an eye-catching shade that's reminiscent of DK's jungle home, it features 3D bananas and Kong letter collectibles just like in the game. It's a fun touch that brings back memories, and that's what I think the best Donkey Kong merch should do.

I've been playing catch-up with Star Fox and Rhythm Paradise Groove, while coming to terms with the fact that Splatoon Raiders, Orbitals, and Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave are on the way, and I want to play them just as much.

That's a lot of Switch 2 games on the horizon, and their prices all add up. But fortunately, Newegg has dropped a new Nintendo gift card deal to make securing them less of a strain on my bank account. Newegg's current Nintendo Switch eShop gift card saves $25 off via a promo code, so I can grab $200 worth of funds for $175 instead. Sign me up!

I wish this deal was available far sooner.

If I were to add up the costs of all my recent Switch 2 pick-ups, which includes that of Star Fox, Rhythm Heaven Groove, Splatoon Raiders, Orbitals, and Fire Emblem's Fortune's Weave, I'd be looking at a combined cost of $249.99, when factoring in their digital MSRPs. Having a $200 Nintendo eShop gift card for only $175 instead could have saved me a chunk off my new and upcoming Switch 2 game library, but alas, this deal only appeared fairly recently.

At least it exists at all, and it's one you can take advantage of too if you want to help minimize the cost of your most anticipated Ninty releases. Just remember that this deal will be emailed to you as a code, which you'll need to redeem within the eShop app on your console. You'll also need to have a US Nintendo account, as this $200 worth of funds won't be valid otherwise.

When you do receive your funds, however, you'll be able to pre-order as many Switch 2 games as your $200 allows, or even pick up some DLC instead. I don't know about you, but I have my eye on the Pokemon Pokopia Bubbly Basin DLC coming this August too.

If Sony's announcement has you gunning for physical games more than ever, then you'll be happy to know that you can grab cheap Nintendo Switch game discounts even on titles that haven't been released yet.

For whatever reason, Switch 2 players have recently been blessed with up to $10 off pre-orders, with titles like Star Fox and Splatoon Raiders both landing at Amazon US for less than full price. Now Orbitals has joined in the discount fun, and you can grab a full physical copy for as little as $39.88 (Amazon), saving you $10 off its $49.99 MSRP.

The digital game is currently sitting on the official Nintendo Store for the same price, so picking up a copy at Amazon feels like a no-brainer. Especially when you factor in that this is not a game-key card release and the full anime-inspired co-op game is on the cartridge. Sign me up!

Switch 2 Star Fox had a similar $10 off discount ahead of launch, where you could grab the remake of the 90s N64 classic for $49.99 instead of its full $59.99 price. However, as the game has come and gone, that discount is no more. In the US, you'll struggle to find Fox McCloud's latest adventure for less than full price when it comes to its physical release, which is why I'm bringing this Orbitals deal news to you sooner rather than later.

If Star Fox is anything to go by, there's every chance that Orbitals will also bounce up to its full price at Amazon after its September 3 release date. That leaves you around 58 days to secure your pre-order and the $10 discount, and be proud that you've added yet another physical release to your collection that's yours to keep until you want to sell, trade, or loan it to a friend.

In the UK, the deals aren't as exciting. A physical copy of Orbtials will cost you £41.99 at Nintendo's online store, meanwhile, it's available for £39.99 at Amazon. I went with the latter as even a saving of £2 is something, but it's not as dramatic a difference, if I'm honest. Either way, I'm happy to get my hands on a game that reminds me so much of the charm of the Macross anime series, while at the same time, being able to add another physical game to my shelf.

There isn't going to be as big a PS5 collection in my gaming room as I once thought after Sony ends physical releases in January 2028. So with that in mind, I have plenty of room to fill up the empty space with new Switch 2 releases instead. Star Fox? Check. Now Orbitals, check!
