League of Legends beta key giveaway

UPDATE 08/07/2009 (6:30 pm PDT):

This contest is officially closed. We are no longer accepting requests for beta keys because WE DON'T HAVE ANY MORE!

A big thanks to the League of Legends community and longtime DotA fans who helped make this giveaway a success. Also, thank you Riot Games for providing us with so many closed beta key codes. Over the last few days we were able to give away 720 beta keys.

It’s been about six years since Defense of the Ancients, a multiplayer mod for Warcraft III, was released - and it’s still making waves. It’s one of the main reasons why players still logon to play Warcraft III to this day - and lately, we’ve seen its influence on several recently released and upcoming team-based RTS/action games. But one of the most interesting DotA-like titles is right around the corner. Dubbed as the “spiritual successor” to DotA, League of Legends: Clash of Fates looks mighty promising. That’s why we’re excited to give away codes that’ll let you sample and enjoy the closed beta before it releases.

Don’t know your DotA from your LoL? Check out our hands-on preview for our impressions on this team-based RTS/RPG hybrid. Want to start playing League of Legends today? Read our contest rules and follow the instructions below for your chance to win a code.
