Everything that happened between Star Wars Episodes VI and VII

With the release of The Force Awakens, Star Wars fans everywhere will get to revisit the world they loved (and temporarily tried to forget... THANK YOU PREQUELS). Finally, we're actually going to find out what happened to Han, Leia and Luke after they successfully defeated the Empire, not to mention what the next generation are up to.

But if you think things are going to pick up the morning after the night of the Ewok rave, you'd be wrong. 30 years have passed between the end of Episode VI and the start of VII, and sadly not everything was all hunky dory the moment the Emperor died. New stories such as the Star Wars: Aftermath novel and Marvel's Shattered Empire comic have started to fill in the gaps in the all-new Star Wars continuity that replaces the old Expanded Universe.

So catch up on what happened in the three decades leading up to The Force Awakens with our video round-up, and make sure you're all set for the next Star Wars adventure! You're welcome. Star Wars: The Force Awakens is released in the UK on December 17 2015 and the US December 18 2015.
