Luc Besson’s forthcoming sci-fi epic Valerian has added some more A-list talent to its ensemble - Clive Owen has signed on to join the production. The news was announced by Besson himself via his Twitter feed, confirming that Owen will be playing a character known as Arün Filitt. He’ll be lining up alongside Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne, who are set to star as a pair of time-travelling peace-keeping operatives.
The film is an adaptation of Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières’ comic-book of the same name, with Besson having recently described the project as the biggest challenge of his career. Valerian has yet to receive an official start date, but is expected to arrive in cinemas at some point in 2017.
