Everything you need to know

The conference has wrapped, the trailers have been revealed, and 2015's PlayStation Experience is officially underway. Sony showed off a bunch of great looking titles from developers both big and small, with a heavy focus on its upcoming virtual reality platform, PlayStation VR. Oh, and we got to see the first gameplay footage of the Final Fantasy 7 Remake. So that was awesome.

If you missed the two-hour-long conference, don't worry - we've got a full rundown of the biggest highlights and surprises from the show. Read on to get the scoop.

Nathan Drake reunites with his older brother

The PlayStation Experience conference opened on a new video for Uncharted 4: A Thief's End. Nathan Drake is pushing papers and burning the midnight oil, and hears a knock at the door. He opens it to discover his older brother, alive and well, and the relationship appears to be strained. The two have a long conversation on the waterfront, and you'll actually get to choose from a selection of dialog options.

First footage of the Final Fantasy 7 remake emerges

We all expected the Final Fantasy 7 remake to look gorgeous, but this is something else. A mix of CGI and in-engine gameplay was shown in a new trailer. All of Midgar looks to be rendered in high-definition glory, and the battle system seems to be more in line with the upcoming Final Fantasy 15 combat engine. Characters have been redesigned a bit, too - like Barrett and his sweet new shades.

And if you can't wait to play FF7, you can download the updated PC port on PS4 today.
