Lost, Heroes and Alias writer/producer Jesse Alexander will be showrunner on a new post-apocalyptic series Day One, reports Variety . The series takes place following a catastrophic global event that destroys the world's infrastructure with the action centring on a small group of survivors. US TV network ABC has green-lighted the project.
