Piranha 3D , the sequel; bad casting idea for The Crow ; Torchwood series 4 costume designer revealed; and more

  • Dimension Films is hoping to get a sequel to Piranha 3D into the cinemas by late summer 2011. Apparently it’s going to be called Piranha 3DD (which is a sentence that sounds like it needs a punchline, but no, seriously, that’s what Deadline is reporting that it’s called).
  • Bloody Disgusting has an exclusive scoop even the site seems slightly embarrassed by: Mark Wahlberg has apparently been offered the lead role in a remake of The Crow .
  • Firefly , Angel and Dollhouse costume designer Shawna Trpcic will be working on Torchwood series/season (how do we refer to it?) four, her Twitter feed confirmed.
  • The original Freddy Kreuger, Robert Englund, is set to guest star in an episode of Supernatural ( EW ’s Ausiellio Files ).
  • Comic Book Movies has a sneak peek of Aquaman and Mera emerging from the sea in an upcoming Smallville episode, “Patriot”.
  • Daniel Radcliffe tells Showbiz Spy that he’s quite happily appear in a Harry Potter remake… but in 30 or 50 years time when he could play Sirius of Dumbledore.
