There isn’t much to Sam Fleischner and Ben Chace’s no-budget dork-out-ofwater comedy but what’s here is stylish, observant, fitfully funny and laced with promise.

Brooklyn doofus-hipster Max (Sean Bones) wins two cruise tickets; his girlfriend (Norah Jones) chucks him pre-trip, so he sails solo and gets robbed in Jamaica.

Bumbling his way to Kingston’s US embassy, Max plays footie and nearly gets knifed.

Slender plotting? Sure, but the directors bring an easygoing rhythm to the currents of comedy, kindness and cultural critique in their mumblecore-ish vacation movie
