Ten years of the Film4 FrightFest

Fans of An American Werewolf In London will get the chance to meet John Landis this August, when he attends Film4 FrightFest. He and the cast will be presenting a fully restored version of the classic, as well as a never-seen-before documentary feature.

Meanwhile the event - the tenth of its kind - will also boast British horror premieres of Triangle by Christopher Smith (pictured below), The Descent: Part Two, Heartless by Philip Ridley and Clive Barker’s Dread.

FrightFest is the UK’s number one horror and fantasy film festival, marking its tenth year with over 30 premieres, 11 of those world premieres! From Thursday 27 August to Monday 31 August the UK’s top event for horror fans will take place at the country’s largest screen (the Empire Cinema, Leicester Square).

In addition, FrightFest Discovery makes its debut this year in Empire screen four, where nine new films will be screening including the world premieres of Evil Things, directed by Dominic Perez and Fragment, directed by Andrew Miles – both films using the device of camera footage to chilling effect. Also showing is Cannes headline grabber Colin, reputedly made for just £45.

To book tickets call 08 714 714 714 or go online to www.frightfest.co.uk . Festival passes are £140, day passes are £21.50 and single tickets £10. The full timetable is available here on the website .
