Super Mario Galaxy 2 Comet Medal Guide

MELTY MONSTER GALAXY

36: The Magnificent Magma Sea:
When you reach the small planets that the magma monsters are all gobbling up, you can find the CometMedal in the center, on the planet above the darker, long platform.

CLOCKWORK RUINS GALAXY

37: Time for Adventure:
CometMedal is located on the first ramp of rolling stones, above the alcove with the 1UP hiding inside of it.

THROWBACK GALAXY

38: Return of the Whomp King:
Go to where the Wiggle is walking around a flagpole and then drop off the side and spin to land on the ledge below. Climb the pole there to get the Comet Medal.

BATTLE BELT GALAXY

39: Mini-Planet Mega-Run:
On the second planet, the one with the lava pools, the CometMedal will be above one of them.

FLASHBACK GALAXY

40: Jumpin Around in the Dark:
In the first section of the house, themedal will be in the very top left corner.

SLIMY SPRING GALAXY

41: The Deep Shell Well:
Themedal is in a side tunnel on the left just after you grab the firstkoopa shell.

BOWSER’S GALAXY GENERATOR

42: Bowsers Fortified Fortress:
After you face the two magma monsters along the pink blocks, there is amedal to the left side of the blocks as they rise up. You’ll need Yoshi to grab it though.

MARIO SQUARED GALAXY

43: Make Mario a Star:
The CometMedal here is on the far left side of the area. Grab it quick and get out of the corner as fast as you can.

ROLLERCOASTER GALAXY

44: The Rainbow Road Roll:
Stay to the right of the track, and when it splits to grab the medal.

TWISTY TRIALS GALAXY

45: Spinning and Spinning and Spinning:
Find the CometMedal along the third to last block as it spins around. Chances are you’l just come across it as you complete the level.

STONE CYCLONE GALAXY

46: Silver stars on the Cyclone
This comet medal is located on a very fast moving block in the center of the area. You can use the button to slow down time to get it, or just time a jump really well while on the moving block.

BOSS BLITZ GALAXY

47: Throwback Throwdown:
For this comet medal, when you battle against King Kaliente, head to the underside and you will find it in the center there. Do a back flip and spin to grab it.

FLIP-OUT GALAXY

48: Wicked Wall Jumps
For this medal, things get tricky. When you see it on top of the blue walls, you will need to ignore it until you bounce up the walls after the spikes. Then you can long jump to the left and spin to pull the ledge out and jump over the gap again to grab the coin.
