New TV spot for The Ghost

Funny how art echoes life and vice versa.

Roman Polanski’s new film The Ghost (known Stateside as the more literal The Ghost Writer ) is all about isolation. Something the director probably learned a thing or two about while editing the flick under house arrest.

Based on the book by Robert Harris, The Ghost follows ex-prime minister Adam Lang (Pierce Brosnan), who hires a ghost writer (Ewan McGregor) to pen his memoirs.

But as the ghost writer (we never learn his name) digs into Lang’s life, he uncovers dark, dark secrets. Kim Cattrall, Olivia Williams, Tom Wilkinson and Eli Wallach also star.

We caught a screening last night, but we've been sworn to secrecy (stupid embargo).

Still, here’s a juicy new TV spot from the US, courtesy of our pals over at Collider , which should give you some idea of what to expect:

The Ghost opens in UK cinemas on 16 April, 2010.
