New STALKER titles in the works

After launching its long, long, long overdue first-person adventure S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl GSC Gameworld plans to reveal several additions to the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. franchise.

The new S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games will be shown at this year's E3 Media & Business summit in Santa Monica, which takes place on July 11 - 13.

Considering the wording of the press release (only new products in the "S.T.A.L.K.E.R. universe" are promised) we've got an inkling that next series entries might not be the traditional first-person epic we've come to expect.

Maybe a S.T.A.L.K.E.R. third-person action title is on the way? Acrappy mobile phone game?

Above: How will the new "products" stack up against the original S.T.A.L.K.E.R. (pictured here)?

"We are very happy of the players' positive reaction to S.T.A.L.K.E.R. all over the world. This fills us with confidence the team is on the right track and adds us strength to go for next exciting accomplishments. It will be very soon that we present our new interesting ideas and solutions," said GSC Game World's CEO Sergiy Grygorovych.
