Slow and steady wins the race? How about slow and packed with ammunition dominates the enemy? The Heavy Gunner class isn’t just an ammo-filled machine ready to kill whatever moves; they also have the ability to dish out ammo to all teammates – not just fireteam members. Heavy Gunners also have the specialty to equip a bipod for their light machine guns, which are the primary weapons for this heavy class. And to round out this well-rounded class, Heavy Gunners have the V40 Minifrags available to use on foes. This type of grenade features a small cluster of 3 grenades that can be thrown with small overall damage, but a wide blast radius, to quickly take down small groves of enemies.
As we alluded to, the bipod is the Heavy Gunner specialty, and though it’s not as exhilarating as other class’ specialties, it’s a solid piece to have during a thrilling firefight. The bipod significantly reduces recoil, gives the player infinite magazines, and extends one’s mini-map, which can be used in nearly every mode in Warfighter’s online component. The bipod, though, creates its own tactic, as you’ll need to be smart when and where to equip it, especially with how small nearly every map is.
