Veteran actor to appear in director Jon ( Iron Man 1 & 2 ) Favreau’s Cowboys And Aliens
Iron Man 1 & 2 director Jon Favreau has confirmed on his Twitter account that Indiana Jones actor Harrison Ford will be appearing in his upcoming sci-fi western Cowboys And Aliens .
After the news was leaked on Latino Review , the director personally went on line to Twitter: “Please stop asking if Harrison Ford is in Cowboys & Aliens . Okay? He is. Please don’t tell anybody.”
The film is based on a graphic novel by Fred Van Lente and Andrew Foley in which cowboys and native Americans (née, the un-PC indians) teamed up to fight off aliens in 19th century Arizona. It was first published in 2006 by Platinum Studios. The movie version is being made The DreamWorks and Universal for a 29 July 2011 release. JJ Abrams’s old muckers Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci and Damon Lindelof have written the script. No news yet on whether Ford will be playing a cowboy, an alien, a native American or an evil sentient bison. Probably not the latter, though.
