Silo season 3

Apple's post-apocalyptic mystery show is back for its third, and penultimate, season. After venturing outside the silo in season 2 and discovering that they were not alone, Juliette (Rebecca Ferguson) now faces a different struggle – ol' memory loss.

OK, so a bit of a cliched start for Silo season 3, but after two seasons of questions, the show is finally set to provide answers, with a dual timeline flashing back to the creation of the silos themselves. The best news is that a fourth and final season has already been shot, so there's no risk of being left hanging.

Enola Holmes 3

Enola Holmes is back! Sherlock's younger sister, played by Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown, is about to wed Lord Tewkesbury (Louis Partridge) in Malta when her crime-solving big brother – once again played by Henry Cavill – disappears. So it's up to Enola to solve the case of the missing Holmes, and expose the shadowy conspirators pulling the strings.

Enola Holmes has proven one of Netflix's more successful ongoing film franchises. This latest entry is once again written by prolific screenwriter Jack Thorne, who has enlisted his acclaimed Adolescence collaborator Phlip Barantini as director, so impressive credentials behind the camera. Ready or Not 2: Here I Come

The sequel to 2019 horror-comedy Ready or Not is another fun, frantic spin on the most dangerous game, as returning survivor Grace (Samara Weaving) again finds herself being hunted for ritualistic sport by the council of elite families. The twist this time: Grace's estranged sister, Faith (Kathryn Newton) is also part of the chase.

Arriving seven years after the first entry (directors Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett helmed Screams 5 and 6, and vampire flick Abigail in the intervening years), Ready or Not 2 has been a long time coming, but is another blood-soaked blast. Lee Cronin's The Mummy

Warner Bros' full-on Mummy reboot faced a mixed response when it released earlier this year, with critics knocking the fact that it's more of an exorcist movie than a Mummy movie, and pointing to its somewhat indulgent 135-minute runtime (and that meaningless title) as signs that it was a movie in need of a few more studio notes. But everyone can agree, it's pretty gnarly.

The story of a modern-day family whose daughter is kidnapped, only to mysteriously return 8 years later, having been found in a sarcophagus, wrapped in bandages (never a good sign), it's a movie that brings the Mummy myth into the home. Midsommar's Jack Reynor and Moon Knight's May Calamawy star.

Human Vapor

This South Korean sci-fi thriller show is actually a reimagining of a 1960 Toho movie, hence the charmingly retro premise: a man gains the ability to transform into a gaseous state and uses his powers for bank robberies. Only here, of course, instead of robbing banks, murder is involved.

We're not going to lie: there was clearly a limited VFX budget, so some of the gas effects are a little ropey, but Human Vapor has been admirably updated for the prestige TV era; this gripping 8-episode limited series will keep you hooked till the very end.

Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2

Not to be confused with the new animated series or forthcoming animated movie, Netflix's live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender is back for a second season. This time around, Aang (Gordon Cormier) and co. journey deeper into the Earth Kingdom to battle their enemy, Fire Lord Ozai (Daniel Dae Kim).

Early reviews for the new season have been overwhelmingly positive, with fans agreeing that Avatar: The Last Airbender season 2 is a vast improvement on season 1. A third season is also on the way, which will conclude the series. After you finish season 2, I recommend firing up the original Nickelodeon cartoon, not just for comparison, but for an optimal double feature experience.

The Bear season 5

The fifth and final season of The Bear has arrived, and with a 100% Fresh Rotten Tomatoes score in tow. The Bear season 5 picks up the morning after the season 4 finale, in which Sydney (Ayo Edebri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), and Sugar (Abby Elliot) find out that Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) has quit the industry and left them the restaurant. Given that this is the end of the line for our favorite restaurateurs... it's their one last chance to get that Michelin star.

It was star Jamie Lee Curtis who officially spilled the beans that the show would end here after four years and countless Emmy and Golden Globe wins. Before you head into season 5, I recommend watching Gary, the Jon Bernthal-penned one-shot that hit Hulu earlier this year and serves as its own standalone companion to the final season.

Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness

It's just as ridiculous as it sounds, and I mean that in the best way. Life, Larry, and the Pursuit of Unhappiness is a sketch show that takes place across several events in American history – and sees Larry David don a variety of powdered wigs.

Bill Hader and Kathryn Hahn play Abraham and Mary Lincoln, respectively, with John Hamm and Sean Hayes as the Wright Brothers. The impossibly stacked cast includes Lin-Manuel Miranda, Toby Huss, Isla Fisher, and former United States President Barack Obama. Michelle Obama also serves as executive producer.

Adventure Time: Side Quests

In case you've been missing Finn the Human, Jake the Dog, and co. since the flagship show went off the air in 2018, the boys are back town. Adventure Time: Side Quests is a prequel series that chronicles Finn's childhood and how he came to have that brotherly bond with Jake. John DiMaggio is back to voice Jake, but, because this is the tale of a tiny child version of Finn, Sasha Knight has taken over for Jeremy Shada.

All 10 episodes are currently available in the US only, but will drop internationally on Cartoon Network and HBO Max in October.

The Sheep Detectives

The Sheep Detectives might seem like a silly movie on the surface (and that might be because Patrick Stewart and Bryan Cranston provide the voices of anthropomorphic sheep), but it's actually a profoundly sad (but still funny) movie about grief. When their shepherd (Hugh Jackman) is mysteriously found dead, his flock launches an all-out investigation and goes on a murder-mystery adventure. The absolutely stacked cast includes Nicolas Galitzine, Emma Thompson, Bella Ramsey, Hong Chau, and Larraine Newman.

The film currently sits at a 95% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes, and has a 5/5 star review in my heart.

Avatar: Fire and Ash

Fancy a trip to Pandora? Avatar: Fire and Ash, the third installment in James Cameron's blockbuster series, is set one year after the events of The Way of Water, and sees Jake and his family grapple with grief after Neteyama's death. Per the official synopsis, they "encounter a new, aggressive Na'vi tribe called the Ash People, led by the fiery tribe leader, Varang, who has allied with Jake's enemy, Quaritch, as the conflict on Pandora escalates to devastating consequences."

Avatar 4 and 5 may or may not be on the way, with the fifth movie slated for a 2031 release... yes, you read that correctly.

The Agency season 2

A remake of the critically acclaimed French spy thriller The Bureau, The Agency stars Michael Fassbender as a CIA operative navigating the twisty, subterfuge-filled world of international espionage, and offers a more grounded take on the spy genre than the likes of Jack Ryan.

I Will Find You

Writer-producer Harlan Coben has become an industry unto himself. I Will Find You is the latest of his many beach reads to be adapted for binge viewing, and stars Avatar's Sam Worthington as a father jailed for the murder of his son, only to discover in prison that his missing child could still be alive.

Intriguing premise, right? I Will Find You also features a typically stacked cast for a Coben adaptation: Severance's Britt Lower, Heroes' Milo Ventimiglia and Gotham's Erin Richards also star. Just don't start watching too late at night, because the moreish episodes will keep you up till sunrise.

The Season

If you've ever found yourself wondering why a sequel to Crazy Rich Asians is still stuck in development hell, The Season should tide you over till China Rich Girlfriend finally goes into production. Set in the luxury world of Hong Kong's elite boating scene (we're all familiar, I'm sure), it's the kind of show where scandal, betrayal and, eventually, murder are par for the course.

Shadow and Bone's Jessie Mei Lee leads the cast as something of an interloper who throws a cat among the pigeons or, rather, a shark among the superyachts. Reviewers have called it "Succession meets Crazy Rich Asians," while the Hong Kong locations are as glamorous as they come. Perfect weekend binge-viewing that may give you a few summer holiday ideas.

Your Fault: London

My Adventures with Superman season 3

Clark Kent is back in My Adventures with Superman season 3, which arrives on HBO this week. The third season returns to Metropolis as our titular hero faces new enemies, including a brutal Cyborg Superman who claims to be better than the Man of Steel in every possible way. In order to defeat this threat, Supes teams up with Supergirl, Jimmy Olsen, and Lois Lane to bring order back to the city.

Set across 10 episodes, the new outing is just as action-packed and full of heart as previous seasons as it manages to explore a new side to this much-adapted hero. The Boys star Jack Quaid returns as Superman alongside newcomers Max Mittelman as Cyborg Supes and Darren Criss as Superboy. The show is airing weekly on HBO Max following its release on Toonami, and is well worth a watch.

Widow's Bay episode 9

Our time in the, ahem, charming town of Widow's Bay is almost at an end as the show's penultimate episode arrives this week. The Matthew Rhys-led series has been one of the big surprises of 2026 so far, working as both a hilarious horror satire as well as gripping and tense thriller. There are so many questions remaining in the penultimate episode as we wait for next week's finale so there's never been a better time to make sure you're up to date before the final episode airs.

And if you needed any more convincing to book a ferry trip over, then the reviews speak for themselves. Currently sitting at 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, the Guardian gave the show five out of five stars, saying it's "Mare of Easttown meets Schitt's Creek, but with something else that makes it singular". Every Year After

Prime Video is well known as the place to be for romantic dramas. Not only did their show The Summer I Turned Pretty become a global hit, but they've also had new romantic series like Off Campus and Maxton Hall win over viewers. Now another new entry is joining the list as Every Year After arrives on the streamer.

Based on the novel 'Every Summer After' by Carley Fortune, the eight-part drama follows Percy Fraser and Sam Florek, two best friends who find themselves constantly drawn back to each other. Think One Day meets Virgin River, the series is all about whether the one that got away is truly gone forever. All episodes are available to stream now.

I Am Frankelda

Get lost in a new dark fantasy world in I Am Frankelda, an absorbing stop-motion story set between the real world and the world of terrors. It follows a young aspiring writer called Francisca Imelda in 19th century Mexico who is approached by a prince to help write more nightmares. As he explains to her, if humans are no longer scared, then his kingdom of terrors will cease to exist.

The Mexican movie was first released in 2025 but will be landing globally on Netflix this weekend. The filmmakers were inspired by Guillermo del Toro and his visual language of fantastical creatures and dark fantasy can be felt throughout. If you love the art that goes into this kind of filmmaking as well as getting lost in a new world, this is definitely one to add to your weekend watchlist. Did we mention it was a musical too?

Muppets Most Wanted Extended Edition

While it's not something we were necessarily expecting, it's always a treat to have more Muppets to enjoy. This weekend Disney Plus is releasing a special longer edition of the 2014 movie Muppets Most Wanted. Previously only available on the Blu-Ray, this version features 12 minutes of extra footage. Fans who have seen it have called it the definitive version of the beloved movie as it subtly reshapes the story in a very satisfying way.

The additions include added character beats and more jokes, as well as expanded musical numbers. Viewers can enjoy extra verses and gags in this new version, which seems like a perfect watch for muppets fans and those wanting revisit the fun movie more than a decade on from its first release. Muppets Most Wanted Extended Edition arrives on June 14.

They Will Kill You

An action horror described by some as John Wick meets Tarantino is arriving on HBO Max this weekend. They Will Kill You stars Joker's Zazie Beetz, Severance's Patricia Arquette, and Harry Potter's Tom Felton in a thriller full of surprises. The story follows an ex-convict who answers a cryptic ad to become a housekeeper at a mysterious New York City highrise. However, when she's there, she soon realizes that this is not an ordinary home.

Several people have vanished from the building over the decades and it seems like a satanic cult may be the reason why. It's only been a few months since it came out in theaters, but you can already enjoy the gory slasher from the comfort of your sofa as it arrives on HBO Max.

With a new month comes a whole heap of new releases on streaming services to enjoy – and June is no exception. This first week brings with it several returning series as well as the release of a new Netflix original movie. Probably the most exciting pick of this weekend's options is Cape Fear, which adapts John D. MacDonald's The Executioners once again for the screen, this time starring Javier Bardem and Amy Adams.

That's by no means all there is to watch on the TV front either. On Prime Video, animated show The Legend of Vox Machina returns for its fourth season, which is now officially the penultimate season of the Critical Role adaptation. Then on AMC Plus, Interview With a Vampire returns with a new season titled The Vampire Lestat, which sees the titular vampire become a rockstar.

Films are equally as exciting this week as two major releases make their way onto streaming – and they couldn't be more different. Pixar movie Hoppers is now streaming on Disney Plus if you're after a family-friendly watch that's great fun, meanwhile Alexander Skarsgård's R-rated motorcycle romance is available on HBO Max. Finally, the queen of romantic comedies Jennifer Lopez is back for a new Netflix film written and starring Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein.

Cape Fear

"Let me ask you a question, what is your worst fear?" Javier Bardem's chilling Max Cady asks in the new Apple TV Plus series Cape Fear. Based on John D. MacDonald's The Executioners, it follows Tom and Anna Bowden (played by Patrick Wilson and Amy Adams here) as they deal with Cady returning to their lives when he's released from prison. Vicious and unpredictable, he is after revenge from the pair who represented him 17 years ago.

If it sounds familiar, there's a reason. This book has actually been adapted twice before, by J. Lee Thompson in 1962 and by none other than Martin Scorsese in 1991. Scorsese is a producer on this version too alongside Steven Spielberg. And with such impressive talent on and behind the camera, it's no surprise that the show has been landing rave reviews already, with lots of praise for the performances from Bardem and Adams. The first two episodes are available to stream now with the rest of the limited series airing weekly.

The Legend of Vox Machina season 4

Based on Dungeons & Dragons web series Critical Role, The Legend of Vox Machina has won a lot of fans over its first three seasons for its fun, irreverent take on this beloved world. Now the show is back with a fourth outing, balancing comedy and adventure across 12 new episodes. This time, we pick up with Vox Machina, a year after they separated following the Chroma Conclave. Adventure, and a new evil rising, bring them back together once again to face an epic enemy.

Most of the voice cast are back for the penultimate season of the animated show, including the return of fan-favorite character Taryon Darrington (voiced by Wayne Brady). There's also a surprise introduction of Lord of the Rings star Andy Serkis too, who is voicing a mystery role in the new season, which you won't want to miss. The first three episodes are available now on Prime Video with new triple episode drops continuing until June 24.

The Vampire Lestat

Now before you start wondering if there's another new spin-off series arriving in the Anne Rice AMC universe, The Vampire Lestat is actually a continuation of the show that kicked this whole franchise off. This is Interview With the Vampire season 3, with a slight twist. Instead of continuing to tell this story from the point of view of Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson), the new episodes shift the perspective to Sam Reid's Lestat de Lioncourt after he wakes up in the modern world and becomes a rock star.

The change-up in format has definitely worked too as the series has debuted to a perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, with a lot of thanks due to Reid's magnetic performance as Lestat. This time around he uncovers new sides to his deeply flawed and interesting character and after all of the twists and turns in season 2, his relationship with Louis is still a key part of this story too and will unfurl in interesting ways across these seven episodes. The first episode arrives on June 7, with subsequent outings airing each Sunday on AMC Plus.

Office Romance

Rom-com queen Jennifer Lopez is back for a new Netflix movie written and starring Ted Lasso's Brett Goldstein. Office Romance sees Lopez play Jackie, the CEO of a fictional company called Air Cruz. Part of her iron fist rule of the company is an extremely rigid anti-fraternization policy for all her employees, which gets tested when lawyer Daniel (Goldstein) starts working for her and sparks fly.

It's pretty much exactly what you're asking for if you're in the mood for an easy, light-hearted watch. Goldstein's dialogue, co-scribed by Joe Kelly, adds an extra witty kick to this world too, making it an enjoyable watch. It's Lopez who is the real star here though, bringing back her goofball charm as a leading lady, well honed from movies like The Wedding Planner and Maid in Manhattan. Pixar's latest Hoppers is now available to watch on Disney Plus. The charming new animated movie imagines what might happen if scientists had discovered a way to transform human consciousness into robotic animals. Using the technology, our protagonist Mabel (voiced brilliantly by Piper Curda) "hops" into a robotic beaver to experience life as the animals live it. It's a great premise and one that Jesse Andrews' script handles deftly with humor, heart, and a lot of adventure.

The voice cast is pretty impressive too with Jon Hamm, Dave Franco, and Meryl Streep all starring in the movie. Widely called a return to form for Pixar, Hoppers received great reviews during its cinematic run so it's a bit of a no brainer to add it to your weekend streaming list too. The movie is available to watch right now as well, so what are you waiting for?

Pillion

If you're looking for a darker romance that Netflix's new rom-com, then Pillion is another streaming option for you this weekend. The Alexander Skarsgård and Harry Melling-led film that won over critics at film festivals is now finally heading to HBO Max. It stars Melling as a timid gay man named Colin who's world is broadened by Skarsgård's Ray, an enigmatic biker. The pair start a BDSM relationship, which causes Colin to change in unexpected ways.

Written and directed by Harry Lighton, the film is based on the 2020 novel Box Hill by Adam Mars-Jones. Brilliant writing and absorbing performances really elevate this one, which you can stream on HBO Max now.

We've reached the end of May and while several of the month's major releases have already come out, there's still a few more exciting launches happening this week. Probably the most exciting pick is Nicolas Cage's first TV role, as he stars in new Prime Video Spider-Man series, Spider-Noir.

That's not the only exciting release in our list of the best new shows and movies to stream this week, either. There's also a new spin-off to Apple TV Plus' beloved series For All Mankind, which turns the focus to the Soviet Union. Netflix's runaway hit comedy The Four Seasons is also back for a hilarious second outing as well.

On the movie side, there's an under-the-radar horror movie landing on Hulu and Disney Plus, as well as an Oscar-winning drama. Then, just in case you missed it in theaters, Maggie Gyllenhaal's The Bride! is also now out on streaming, starring newly minted Oscar winner Jessie Buckley.

Spider-Noir

Nicolas Cage swings onto the small screen in new Spider-Man show, Spider-Noir. He stars as an aging private investigator and former superhero called Ben Reilly. When a new case lands on his desk, he must grapple with his past and decide whether he wants to become The Spider once again. It's set in an alternate universe to the rest of Sony's Spider-Man movies, but Cage did first play the role in the Spider-Verse films. However, this new show is based more on the comics, adapted by Oren Uziel to introduce a new version of this character in a slick, genre-driven drama.

One of the most fun parts about this release is that you can watch it in both black and white or color (read how to do that here). It's also landed some pretty positive reviews, with praise mostly falling at Cage's feet for his authentic performance. Our own Spider-Noir review gave it 3.5 stars with our reviewer calling it "a delightfully camp, low-stakes romp through 1930s New York City that proves Nicolas Cage is still cooler than all of us." The Four Seasons season 2

The Four Seasons was a breakout hit for Netflix when its first season arrived back in May 2025. It's all-star cast got viewers hooked with Tina Fey, Steve Carell, Colman Domingo, and Will Forte all appearing in lead roles. However, it was the deft balance of all-out laughs and more tender emotion that was what made the show so popular with viewers and critics alike.

Now the show is returning with a second season, which follows in the wake of season 1's shock death. This time around, the group of friends navigate three new vacations with more baggage and a baby in tow. All eight episodes are available to stream now.

Star City

For All Mankind is undoubtedly one of Apple TV's best shows currently airing, telling an alternate history where the USSR was the first nation to reach the moon. In the original show, this kicked off a more intense space race that has been told from the American perspective so far. Well, now, new spin-off Star City is changing the narrative, telling the story from the perspective of the Soviet space agency.

It's an intriguing premise that will likely appeal to fans of the original show as well as newcomers to this sci-fi universe. What's more, it's got a seriously stacked cast of dramatic talent. Rhys Ifans plays the chief designer of the program, while Anna Maxwell Martin is the head of the KGB surveillance department at Star City. Early reviews have been very positive for the new show, which has opened to a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score. The first two episodes arrive on May 29, airing weekly thereafter.

The Bride!

Based on Mary Shelley's 1818 novel Frankenstein and the 1935 movie Bride of Frankenstein, The Bride! tells a new story set in a very familiar world. After impressing with her directorial debut, The Lost Daughter, The Dark Knight star Maggie Gyllenhaal is in both the writing and directing chair for this one. It stars Christian Bale as 'Frank', the monster created by Dr. Frankenstein, opposite Jessie Buckley as the titular Bride, a woman who is brought back from the dead to be his companion.

Buckley's performance as a radical rebel drives much of the movie, which split critics between fervent admirers and confused observers. Called a sci-fi fantasy version of Sid and Nancy and Natural Born Killers, it seems destined to become a cult classic. It's well worth your streaming time this weekend to make up your own mind on the 2026 release. The movie is available to watch now on HBO Max in the UK and the US.

Descendent

This pacy horror likely flew under your radar when it was first released in 2025. Produced by Marvel filmmaking duo Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead (who worked on Moon Knight and Daredevil: Born Again), this sci-fi thriller tells the story of a school security guard in Los Angeles who struggles to navigate his childhood trauma as he prepares for the birth of his first child.

However, things start to get pretty weird when he ends up seeing a mysterious beam of light one night on his shift. He wakes up after this odd encounter with images of aliens and desert landscapes plaguing his mind. The Walking Dead actor Ross Marquand stars in the lead role of this twisty and tense horror with a very decent 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. You can stream the movie on Hulu right now.

The Theory of Everything

Awards darling The Theory of Everything is now available to stream on Netflix. The biographical drama tells the love story of physicist Stephen Hawking (Eddie Redmayne) and his wife, Jane Wilde Hawking (Felicity Jones). The pair navigate his advancing illness and rising fame across three decades of their lives, beginning with their first meeting at Cambridge University.

If you missed this one when it was released back in 2014, it's well worth a watch now for its tender and emotional retelling of Hawking's life. Nominated for five Oscars and winning the Academy Award for Redmayne, it's easy to see why this movie is so well-loved. It's on Prime Video in the UK for four days before it heads to Netflix in the US on May 31.

The Bear star Ebon Moss-Bachrach's lips are sealed when it comes to what season 5 has in store for Richie after the end of prequel episode 'Gary.'

A surprise episode of The Bear dropped last week, which took us back in time to a flashback from Richie's POV. The prequel standalone episode saw Richie and his late best friend Mikey (played by Jon Bernthal) take a road trip to Gary, Indiana.

Richie was seemingly daydreaming about the trip behind the wheel of his car during a present-day journey, but was jolted awake when he collided with another vehicle at the end of the episode. But just where on the timeline those present-day scenes fall is being kept under wraps.

"Beyond that kind of general tonal thing, I can't really get into the details," Moss-Bachrach, who co-wrote the episode with Bernthal, told Entertainment Weekly, before adding that the crash could "potentially" have occurred between seasons 4 and 5.

Richie's condition after the crash is still up in the air, but things don't look good for everyone's favorite cousin. We won't have to wait too long to find out once and for all, though. The Bear season 5 has been confirmed as the final installment of the comedy-drama series, with all eight episodes dropping at once next month.

Following comments from star Jamie Lee Curtis that the show is set to end after season 5, The Bear has a surprise-dropped a special episode starring and co-written by Jon Bernthal and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

Per Variety, the episode, titled 'Gary,' follows Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and Mikey (Jon Bernthal) in a flashback that sees them taking a work trip to Gary, Indiana. The episode focuses on “the two friends’ complicated relationship, uncovering new layers of Mikey’s mental state while offering crucial insight into the man Richie is when audiences first meet him in Season 1, adding emotional context that reframes their story from the very beginning."

It's The Bear, and it's a Mikey flashback, so you already know you're probably going to cry. Series creator Christopher Storer directs from Bernthal and Moss-Bachrach's screenplay. Curiously, though, the episode is listed as its own title rather than under The Bear category on Hulu and Disney Plus.

The Emmy and Golden Globe-winning show (which I still don't think should be in the comedy category, but whatever) is set to end after five seasons, with Curtis saying in a recent interview that "everybody's confirmed the show is ending." Then again, Ted Lasso filmed a series finale and everything and still came back for a fifth season... so anything's possible.

A simple hike turns into a deadly cat-and-mouse game in Netflix's new action thriller Apex. The movie stars Charlize Theron as Sasha, a woman planning to test her limits in the unforgiving Australian wilderness. However, she makes the fatal error of trusting an amiable local for directions, played by Taron Egerton sporting a questionable accent, and he leads her into a trap. When they meet again in the bush, he tells her she has the length of a song to get "as far away from him as possible".

This looks like the perfect Friday night escapism watch, complete with beautiful locations and epic action sequences. There's some serious talent involved, too, as Egerton and Theron are great actors, which should elevate this from your usual Netflix thriller. At the very least, it's great to see Theron channel Furiosa-style action once again.

No Other Choice (Hulu)

No Other Choice may have been overlooked at the 2026 Oscars, but you shouldn't sleep on this excellent thriller now that it has hit streaming. Directed by Old Boy's Park Chan-wook, this South Korean black comedy stars Squid Game's Lee Byung-hun as a desperate salesman who decides to get the job he needs, he must kill off all of his competition.

The movie has a near-perfect score on Rotten Tomatoes, having been praised for being a clever and funny satire on the corporate rat race. It's a timely watch as well as being a masterfully made work of cinema from one of the greatest directors around. Marty Supreme (HBO Max)

Timothée Chalamet was nominated for an Oscar for Josh Safdie's engaging sports drama Marty Supreme. Arriving on HBO Max this weekend, it's well worth your time if you missed it on the big screen. Starring the Dune actor in the titular role, the drama charts the ups and downs of table tennis player Marty Mauser as he attempts to become world champion.

Chalamet is excellent as the wisecracking lead in this pacy and fun movie, bringing heart to a pretty unlikeable character. In a typical Safdie fashion, too, it moves at a thousand miles a minute, but you'll enjoy every second of the ride. It helps that Chalamet is joined by an impressive supporting cast, including Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A'zion, and Kevin O'Leary. One for the weekend watch list in our book.

Just when we thought we'd said goodbye to Hawkins, Netflix gives us this treat of an animated show. Stranger Things: Tales from '85 tells a new story set between the second and third seasons of the main live-action series. It follows our favorite gang as the Upside Down starts causing issues for the small town once again.

While it's pretty confusing if you start navigating Stranger Things canon, taken on its own, this is a fun, nostalgia-filled joy ride. As our Stranger Things: Tales from '85 review says, it's the most kid-friendly version of this world yet and is full of fun. Take it at face value, and it seems like this could be the perfect weekend watch. More could be on its way too, according to what the showrunner told us recently...

Half Man (HBO Max)

Richard Gadd's hotly anticipated follow-up to Baby Reindeer has been on our radar since it was first announced. Although for those expecting something similar, think again, as Gadd looks almost unrecognizable as Ruben Pallister, the tough-as-nails and extremely violent half-brother of Jamie Bell's Niall Kennedy. When Ruben shows up unannounced at Niall's wedding, it proves to be a catalyst for unpicking 40 years of their relationship.

Told through flashbacks and present-day sequences, this limited series looks like a searing exploration of how different families can be. So far, reviews have been cautiously positive for the new show, with many praising its exploration of toxic masculinity. However, it seems like it's not for the faint of heart, with references to brutal sequences mentioned by almost every critic. A tough and important watch that shouldn't be missed.

Daredevil: Born Again season 2 episode 6 (Disney Plus)

We may be nearing the end of Daredevil: Born Again season 2, but thankfully, the latest episode hasn't slowed down the pace of the Marvel series. Episode six follows the aftermath of Vanessa Fisk's death as a familiar face makes an appearance. Yes, Krysten Ritter's Jessica Jones is finally back on our screens – and we couldn't be happier to see the super-powered private investigator once again.

This season of the show has been hugely enjoyable, upping the stakes for Matt Murdock and Karen Page as they navigate a New York City run by Wilson Fisk and his Anti-Vigilante Task Force. This week's outing is especially a must-watch, as we build up to the final two episodes in this season.

Alien: Earth season 2 is shaping up as Game of Thrones star Peter Dinklage has joined the cast in an unnamed mystery role. The series was renewed for a second season back in November following critical acclaim for the first season.

Dinklage's casting (via THR) brings him back to prestige TV after eight seasons as the cunning Tyrion Lannister in HBO's Game of Thrones. Though Game of Thrones waxed and waned throughout its long run, Dinklage's performance as Tyrion was consistently praised as one of the best in the series, turning him into a beloved actor.

The first season of Alien: Earth established the core premise following a group of terminally ill children whose minds are downloaded into synthetic bodies as they learn the limits of their freedom and have a series of unexpected encounters with xenomorphs.

The season finale involved the synths forming an unlikely bond with a xenomorph which becomes their hunting dog as they themselves take on xenomorph-like qualities to overthrow their corporate captors, setting up a reversed dynamic for season 2.

Dinklage will be a welcome addition to the cast, which includes Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille and Moe Bar-El.

Alan Ritchson, known for his role as Jack Reacher in Prime Video's hit action series Reacher, stars in this new action movie that will have you on the edge of your seat (at least that's what the first trailer teased). Directed by Patrick Hughes, this new Netflix film gives very strong Predator vibes, but at a bigger scale.

Also starring Dennis Quaid, Stephan James, Jai Courtney, and Esai Morales, the film is set "during the final stage of U.S. Army Ranger selection" as "an elite team’s training exercise turns into a fight for survival against an unimaginable threat." Ritchson's Ranger, codenamed '81', will have to lead his squad of trainees in a seemingly hopeless battle against some kind of giant mech of undetermined origin.

Young Sherlock (Prime Video)

After leading Robert Downey Jr.'s take on Sherlock Holmes in the 2009 movie and its sequel Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, filmmaker Guy Ritchie is back once again to the world created by Arthur Conan Doyle. This time, we're going all the way back to Holmes' youth, with Hero Fiennes Tiffin starring as the beloved sleuth alongside Dónal Finn, Zine Tseng, Joseph Fiennes, Natascha McElhone, Max Irons and Colin Firth.

Based on Andrew Lane’s spin-off book series, Young Sherlock sees the character getting disgraced after being wrapped up in a murder case that threatens his freedom. In his first-ever case as a detective, Sherlock will have to uncover a global conspiracy that will change his life forever and will set him on the path towards Baker Street.

Rooster (HBO Max)

Ted Lasso and Shrinking creator Bill Lawrence is back with another dramedy, and we can't wait to sink our teeth into it. Premiering on Sunday, Rooster stars Steve Carell, Charly Clive, Danielle Deadwyler, Phil Dunster, John C. McGinley and Lauren Tsai, and it's set to run for ten episodes in this first season co-created by Matt Tarses.

Set on a college campus, Rooster follows a famous author (Carell) and his complicated relationship with his daughter (Clive). When her husband (Dunster) leaves her for a graduate student (Tsai) as her life unravels, her father decides to show up to help her, although instead he seems to have his own existential crisis.

The Hunt (Apple TV)

After an unexpected delay due to plagiarism allegations, The Hunt has finally premiered on Apple TV, and it's packed with action and suspense. The French six-episode series was created by Cédric Anger based on the novel Shoot by Douglas Fairbairn.

Per Deadline, the show follows Franck (Benoît Magimel) and his longtime friends as they go on one of their hunting weekend trips together. However, one Sunday, "they come across another group of hunters who start targeting them without explanation. When one of their party is shot, Franck's friends strike back, sending an attacker to the ground. Barely managing to escape, the four friends keep the event a secret. Franck tries to go back to his life as usual alongside his wife Krystel (Mélanie Laurent), but in the next few days, he starts to feel like he and his friends are being watched, or worse, tracked by hunters who are now hell-bent on revenge."

R.J. Decker (Hulu)

If you can't resist a detective series, you might want to take a look at R.J. Decker on Hulu. Inspired by Carl Hiaasen’s novel Double Whammy and written by Elementary's Rob Doherty, the ABC show sees Underworld star Scott Speedman leading the cast alongside Jaina Lee Ortiz, Bevin Bru, Kevin Rankin and Adelaide Clemens.

Per the logline, "R.J. Decker is a former newspaper photographer and ex-con who starts over as a private investigator in the colorful-if-crime-filled world of South Florida. The series follows him tackling cases that range from slightly odd to outright bizarre with the help of his journalist ex, her police detective wife and a shadowy woman from his past who could be his greatest ally… or his one-way ticket back to prison."

Frankenweenie (Disney Plus)

To celebrate the release of The Bride! in cinemas this weekend, we've decided to include a different kind of Frankenstein story on this week's list. Tim Burton's stop-motion animated film Frankenweenie takes inspiration from Mary Shelley's iconic character to tell a beautiful (and monstrous) story about the undying love of a boy for his dog.

With the voice cast including huge stars like Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Martin Landau and the late Catherine O'Hara, the film follows Victor after the unexpected loss of his beloved dog Sparky. Devastated, Victor "harnesses the power of science to bring his best friend back to life – with just a few minor adjustments," reads the synopsis. "He tries to hide his home-sewn creation, but when Sparky gets out, Victor's fellow students, teachers and the entire town all learn that getting a new 'leash on life' can be monstrous."

Jamie Lee Curtis has confirmed that FX's hit chef show The Bear will end with its upcoming fifth season, but it looks like the star might have leaked that information a little early.

The actor shared the news on Instagram alongside a picture of herself and co-star Abby Elliott on the set of The Bear season 5. The caption reads, "FINISHED STRONG! Surrounded by an extraordinary crew and group of writers and producers and scene partners on the show that Chris Storer created, completing the story of this extraordinary family that we have all fallen in love with."

Fans immediately flooded the comments with questions asking if the show really is ending with season 5, as that is certainly a piece of information they, or any of us, have not heard before. FX has yet to address the matter.

Then, Access Hollywood caught up with the star, asking if she really meant to say that the show was ending. "But everybody’s confirmed the show is ending. I don’t understand why that’s such a [big deal]," said Curtis. "Unless I’m gonna get a call from all the people saying, ‘You just told [everyone],’ I think everybody understood that it was the last season of the show. If it isn’t, then I’ve completely blown it."

The Bear first premiered in 2022 and follows Jeremy Allen White as a successful chef who returns home to run his family-owned restaurant. Starring Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Karl Urban, this R-rated film doesn't pull any punches, described by the streamer as a "gritty, adrenaline-fueled action-adventure about family, survival, and the indomitable strength of a mother’s love."

Set in the 19th century, The Bluff follows Ercell 'Bloody Mary' Bodden (Chopra), a former seafaring raider who, after escaping a violent past, has found peace in the Caribbean alongside her husband (Ismael Cruz Cordova), her son Isaac (Vedanten Naidoo) and sister-in-law Elizabeth (Safia Oakley-Green). Their idyllic existence comes to an end when a menacing captain whom Ercell worked for (Urban) shows up seeking revenge.

Kong and Godzilla are back on the screen together in the Apple TV show, and they will need all their might to face the mysterious new monster Titan X.

Per the official synopsis, season two "will pick up with the fate of Monarch – and the world – hanging in the balance. The dramatic saga reveals buried secrets that reunite our heroes (and villains) on Kong’s Skull Island, and a new, mysterious village where a mythical Titan rises from the sea. The ripple effects of the past make waves in the present day, blurring the bonds between family, friend and foe – all with the threat of a titan event on the horizon." Along with the returning cast, the show is welcoming Takehiro Hira, Amber Midthunder, Curtiss Cook, Cliff Curtis, Dominique Tipper and Camilo Jiménez Varón.

It's hard to talk about Paradise season 2 without spoiling the mindblowing events of the previous season, but we're going to try for the sake of those viewers who still have to catch up with one of the most unexpected shows airing today. The Hulu series sees Sterling K. Brown starring as Xavier Collins, a secret service agent investigating the murder of a former president (played by James Marsden) in a closed community isolated from the dangers of the outside world.

In the new episodes, Xavier will need to adapt to a new reality as he meets some new major characters, played by Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty. Creator Dan Fogelman told fans to brace themselves for an "intense, surprising and emotional" season 2 (via EW). We have been warned.

If you're looking for a documentary to watch this weekend, you might want to take a look at HBO Max's new miniseries Portobello. Directed by award-winning filmmaker Marco Bellocchio, it's been widely praised by critics, with The Wall Street Journal calling it "television with teeth."

Based on the 2016 book Lettere a Francesca, the show takes audiences back to 1980s Italy, telling the story of the infamous miscarriage of justice involving the king of Italian television at the time, Enzo Tortora. "The Irpinia earthquake delivers the final blow to the already fragile balance of the New Organized Camorra criminal organization," reads the official synopsis. "Giovanni Pandico, a trusted friend of crime boss Raffaele Cutolo and a regular viewer of Portobello, decides to repent. Interrogated by the judges, he names an unexpected person: Enzo Tortora."

Now on Disney+, the series sees Professor Suzannah Lipscomb, known for unearthing secrets of our collective past, exploring some of the greatest death mysteries of all time.

From Cleopatra to Genghis Khan, Lipscomb "uses cutting-edge science and compelling detective work to reveal the truth behind the deaths of history's most famous figures," according to the official logline.

Ryan Coogler's X-Files reboot is finally officially moving ahead: the show has received the greenlight for a pilot at Hulu.

I Saw the TV Glow and The Woman in the Yard star Danielle Deadwyler will co-lead but, interestingly, Coogler won't be the showrunner – that'll be Jennifer Yale, Deadline reports. The Oscar-nominated director of Sinners will write and direct the pilot, instead.

Yale has previously worked on shows like Legion, Outlander, and Apple TV's See, and last year she was the showrunner on The Copenhagen Test, a thriller series starring Simu Liu and Melissa Barrera and executive produced by James Wan.

Per Deadline, the show will follow "two highly decorated but vastly different FBI agents" who "form an unlikely bond when they are assigned to a long-shuttered division devoted to cases involving unexplained phenomena." Deadwyler will play one of the agents, but her co-star hasn't been announced yet.

Coogler's reboot was first reported in March 2023, and original series creator Chris Carter has confirmed that he won't have any involvement with it.

The original X-Files series ran from 1993 to 2002, with two movies and two revival seasons following in the 20 years after. Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny starred as FBI special agents Dana Scully, a skeptic, and Fox Mulder, a conspiracy theorist, investigating unsolved cases involving the paranormal known as the X-Files.

The X-Files isn't the only '90s genre hit getting the 21st Century treatment at Hulu – Buffy the Vampire Slayer is also returning to our screens, with a pilot directed by Hamnet and Eternals helmer Chloé Zhao on the way.

Jennifer Garner leads the cast of Apple TV's thriller series The Last Thing He Told Me, which is coming back this weekend with new episodes and another piece of the mystery. Based on Laura Dave’s recently published sequel The First Time I Saw Him, the new season also sees the return of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Angourie Rice, with newcomers including Judy Greer and Rita Wilson.

Season 2 picks up the story after the surprising revelations of last season's finale, when Owen (Coster-Waldau) shows up five years after his mysterious disappearance. Week by week, we've followed Ser Duncan the Tall (Peter Claffey) and his squire Egg (Dexter Sol Ansell) as they explore what it means to be an honourable knight. Blending the usual blood and violence from the Game of Thrones universe with a much more comedic and lighthearted tone, the series has been an absolute success, so make sure to be ready for the final episode of the season.

Prime Video's eight-part series 56 Days, based on Catherine Ryan Howard's novel of the same name, unravels an exciting mystery surrounded by a passionate affair, and it's an exciting addition to the genre of films like Basic Instinct and Body Double.

Per the official synopsis, the film "follows Oliver and Ciara, who, after meeting randomly in a supermarket, fall for each other fast, and dangerously hard. Harris Dickinson, who's set to star as John Lennon in Sam Mendes' upcoming biopic, debuted as a director last year with the beautifully heartbreaking film Urchin. Now available to watch on streaming, this is a must-watch with an impressive 96% score on Rotten Tomatoes and critics praising Frank Dillane's "unflinchingly authentic performance."

Set in London, the British film follows Mike, a homeless man who does whatever he can to survive day by day. "Roadside evangelizers won't let him sleep in peace, his slippery friend won't pay up the money he stole, and before long, he finds himself in trouble with the law," reads the synopsis. "As he struggles to reintegrate into society, shuffling between gigs as a line cook and a trash collector, he must balance a newfound sense of community with his own itch for self-destruction."

Written and directed by Jess Varley, The Astronaut follows astronaut Sam Walker, who has just returned from her first space mission and is placed at a high security house for rehabilitation and medical testing. However, she suspects that something is wrong when disturbing events start to happen. Is it possible that something followed her back to Earth?

Over three months after its initial release, Dan Trachtenberg's Predator: Badlands is still making waves, becoming the most-watched movie on Hulu ever.

The newest Predator franchise installment hit streaming service Hulu on February 12 and, in just five days, managed to draw in 9 million views worldwide, as reported by Deadline. With this amount of views, Predator: Badlands has become Hulu's biggest movie premiere ever.

The movie has taken the top spot from its predecessor, the 2022 movie Prey, which was also directed by Trachtenberg. With Badlands now on Hulu and Disney Plus, the streaming sites are now home to the whole Predator franchise, which has accounted for over 300 million hours watched from viewers around the world.

Set hundreds of years after the events of Prey and Predator: Killer of Killers, Badlands follows a young Predator (Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi) who has been ostracized from his clan. To prove himself, the warrior sets out to face the most fearsome creature he can find, and in the process finds an unlikely ally in a bot named Thia (Elle Fanning).

The movie flips the script on what we know about the franchise, which seemed to resonate with fans. So much so that the movie debuted to 86% on Rotten Tomatoes and a 95% audience score.

Becoming Hulu's most popular movie isn't the first record that Predator: Badlands has broken. After hitting the big screen on November 7, 2025, the movie went on to earn over $184M globally, according to Box Office Mojo, becoming the most successful Predator movie ever. The entire Predator franchise has grossed over $925M at the worldwide box office.

After three chaotic seasons, Hulu's hit college drama series Tell Me Lies has come to an end with its third season, just as the show was reaching great heights in popularity.

Showrunner Meaghan Oppenheimer broke the news on Instagram, writing, "After three amazing seasons of Tell Me Lies, tonight’s episode will be the series finale. This was always the ending that my writing team and I had in mind, and we are insanely proud of it." The final episode of Tell Me Lies, season 3 episode 8, landed on Hulu in the early hours of February 17, 2026.

The season ending so abruptly has come as a bit of a shock, as the show was just picking up overseas. However, Oppenheimer explained that although there was temptation in finding an "organic way to continue the story," due to overwhelming reception, the team "ultimately felt it had reached its natural conclusion." The showrunner added, "My main goal has always been to protect the quality of the show and give you the best experience I can give you."

Tell Me Lies follows college students Lucy and Stephen and their seriously unhealthy relationship, which permanently alters their lives and the lives of everyone around them. The show mostly takes place in 2008 at Baird University, but includes flashforwards to 2015, where we can see how the group's college years are still affecting them years later.

Season 1 premiered on Hulu on September 7, 2022, and was immediately met with positive reactions, earning the series a respectable 75% score on Rotten Tomatoes. But from then on, it has only been up. Deadline reported that Tell Me Lies season 3 generated 5 million views globally within its first week of streaming, marking a 150% rise in viewership from previous seasons. The same report found that Tell Me Lies' social accounts saw a 580% rise in engagement, too.

With those figures in mind, it's a wonder why the show is ending right at its peak when other platforms would be milking it for all it is worth. However, that is what is so refreshing about this situation. Instead of driving it into the ground, Hulu is mastering the art of knowing when to walk away, which other platforms can take note of.

Once again helmed by director Dean DeBlois, HTTYD is an incredibly faithful adaptation of the original 'toon (some might say slavishly so...) in which young Hiccup befriends fearsome Night Fury Toothless, only to change the hostile relationship between Vikings and dragons forever. The Pope's Exorcist (HBO Max)

If you know anything about The Pope's Exorcist, it's probably that Russell Crowe's papal demon slayer rides a little moped around the Vatican. That should be enough to sell you on this exorcism horror, but if it isn't, Crowe's dubious Italian accent, teased in the trailer above, will convince anyone that they're in for a good time.

Based on the exploits of the pope's former chief exorcist, Father Gabriele Amorth, though (we hope) heavily embellished, it's about Fr. Amorth's investigation into the possession of an American boy in Spain. It's hardly, well, The Exorcist, but this fear flick, from Overlord director Julius Avery, is a frightfully good time.

The latest instalment in the long-running Predator franchise, Predator: Badlands is something a little different for the series. Instead of a story about a human hero being hunted by the ugliest mofo in movies, young Yautja Dek is Badlands' protagonist, and on a mission to earn his cloak by hunting the most dangerous creature in the galaxy.

Also starring Elle Fanning as a cheery Weylan-Yutani synthetic who accompanies Dek on his hunt, Badlands is a big swing that pays off, featuring some of the biggest (if not exactly bloodiest) action in the Predator series to date.

Fallout season 2 finale

After a chaotic and tense sophomore season, it all boils down to this. The Fallout season 2 finale hits Prime Video this Tuesday and will finally give us all the answers we have been searching for. Based on the hit video game Fallout: New Vegas, season 2 has so far followed Lucy and the Ghoul on their exploits through the Mojave Wasteland as they tracked down Hank all the way to New Vegas. All the while, the Brotherhood of Steel grew power crazy with cold-fusion technology now in their hands. Plus, we learned a lot about the events leading up to the apocalypse, too.

However, in Fallout season 2 episode 8 titled 'The Strip', we will see Lucy make a huge decision and figure out what she's going to do with the Congresswoman's head. Yes, you read that right. Plus, Hank's master plan with his mainframe will finally come to fruition, and Maximus will face some Deathclaws. You don't want to miss it.

The Muppet Show

Who doesn't love the Muppets? We know we do. It has been way too long since we have seen Jim Henson's vibrant and hilarious puppets let loose on a new project. But the wait is almost over as Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of the gang are set to return to our screens in The Muppet Show. In celebration of the original show's 50th anniversary, The Muppet Show will see the gang return to the small screen after four decades with a classic variety show, paying homage to the classic series that ran from 1975 to 1981.

In true Muppet fashion, expect brand new music, comedy sketches, and lots of backstage chaos. Plus, the special event includes a ton of cameos from actors such as Seth Rogan and popstar Sabrina Carpenter, who seems to have already found a rival in Miss Piggy.

The Lincoln Lawyer season 4

The highly addictive Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer is back for its fourth season. Based on the bestselling book series by Michael Connelly, season 4 adapts the novel 'The Law of Innocence', which sees Manuel Garcia Rulfo's idealistic lawyer Mickey Haller face his toughest case yet. But this time, it's Haller himself in the hot seat. When accused of the murder of his former client, Sam Scales, Haller and his team must work around the clock to prove his innocence and clear his name.

This season will force Haller's team to go head-to-head with the DA's office and the FBI at the same time, all the while Haller faces dark figures from his troubled past. Season 3 blew fans away and stands at a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes, so we cannot wait to see how season 4 fares.

What better way to spend the lead-up to Valentine's Day than cozying up with a new romantic comedy? Starring pop star turned movie star Kelly Rowland, Relationship Goals follows a TV producer called Leah who sets her sights on becoming the first woman running New York's top morning show. However, a spanner is thrown in the works when her ex Jarrett competes for the same role. To make things just a little trickier, the two didn't end their relationship on good terms.

However, Jarrett claims he has changed his ways with the help of a book titled 'Relationship Goals.' As Leah and her friends study the book more closely, she finds herself growing closer to Jarrett as their chemistry starts to fire up again. This could either be the perfect enemies-to-lovers situation, or Leah might learn the hard lesson of why you should leave the past in the past.

The Investigation of Lucy Letby

Netflix is becoming the place to go for gripping true crime documentaries, with its 2025 feature The Perfect Neighbor earning an Oscar nomination in January 2026. The Investigation of Lucy Letby takes a closer look at Letby's crimes and includes never-before-seen footage of the nurse during her arrest and questioning. The documentary also features insider accounts and interviews from those close to the case that both divided and shook a nation.

Set three years after the events of season 1, the new episodes see Camille and Issei embarking on a journey to uncover the origin of the world’s greatest wine, traveling the world and strengthening their sibling bond.

As Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 and Frieren: Beyond Journey's End season 2 lead an impressive start of the anime winter season this month, another title might be worthy of your attention. We're talking about Netflix's Cosmic Princess Kaguya!, a reimagining of the folktale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter (which has inspired many other anime stories, including Studio Ghibli's The Tale of the Princess Kaguya). It's also the directorial debut of Shingo Yamashita, who anime fans might know for his work on the opening sequences of series like Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man.

The story is set in a virtual space known as Tsukuyomi, and follows a high school girl who discovers a mysterious baby emerging from a glowing telephone pole (yep, that's Kaguya). The pair launch a streaming career in Tsukuyomi, but their dreams threaten to get shattered by ominous forces trying to reclaim Kaguya for the moon.

The film sees the actor transform into MMA fighter Mark Kerr, and explores what happens when the fighter faces loss and the psychological ramifications of such a blow. Emily Blunt plays Kerr's wife, Dawn Staples, reuniting with Johnson after starring together in the Disney film Jungle Cruise.

The Night Manager is finally back! It's been eight years since the ending of the first season of the British show, with fans patiently waiting for the continuation of the story starring Tom Hiddleston. The wait is over – season 2 is releasing on Prime Video this weekend, and it's the best start of the year for fans of spy thrillers and intense action.

Hiddleston reprises his role as former British intelligence operative Jonathan Pine in the new episodes, which continue to be based on the characters created by John le Carré. The show finds Pine living a comfortable and uneventful life away from spy business, when one night he gets involved in a new case when he is forced to confront Colombian businessman Teddy Dos Santos (played by Diego Calva). Camila Morrone and Indira Varma also join the cast, with Olivia Colman reprising her role as Angela Burr.

The Pitt season 2 (HBO Max)

Ready to get back into the emergency room? The Pitt season 2 premiered this week on HBO Max after an incredibly successful first season last year, and the stakes will be higher than ever before. ER alum Noah Wyle headlines the show as Dr. Michael 'Robbie' Robinavitch, the longsuffering leader of the emergency room at the fictional Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center hospital.

While the first season dealt with the gruesome aftermath of a violent mass shooting at a music festival, the second season will take place over a fourth of July weekend, 10 months after the events of the first season. Much like that first batch of episodes, the new season follows a full 15-hour hospital shift with each episode representing an hour of real time.

A Thousand Blows season 2 (Hulu)

Peaky Blinders' creator Steven Knight is delivering this week another season of Hulu's boxing drama A Thousand Blows, and we're here for it. With Adolescence stars Stephen Graham and Erin Doherty leading the cast alongside Malachi Kirby, the show is inspired by the true-life stories of a group of characters battling for survival in the brutal East End of London in the 1880s.

In the new season, set one year after the events of season 1, we see Hezekiah in a broken state and Henry in self-destruct mode, but Mary Carr's return to reclaim her criminal empire in the East End will force them to get back into the ring as they navigate old rivalries and plan their revenge.

Tehran season 3 (Apple TV Plus)

With season 4 already confirmed, Tehran is here for the long run, and we have new episodes to watch this weekend. Created by Dana Eden, Moshe Zonder, and Maor Kohn, the Apple TV Plus show, which follows a Mossad hacker-agent who infiltrates Tehran under a false identity to help destroy Iran's nuclear reactor, shouldn't be flying under your radar.

The new episodes follow Tamar Rabinyan's journey after mourning the loss of her closest allies and going rogue at the end of season 2. Now, the protagonist must find a way to reinvent herself and win back the Mossad’s support if she is to survive. Niv Sultan reprises her role as Tamar, while House star Hugh Laurie joins the show as a South African nuclear inspector, Eric Peterson.

The Artful Dodger (Disney Plus)

With season 2 coming on February 10, Disney Plus has added to its library the first season of Hulu's Australian series The Artful Dodger, so you can catch up ahead of the new episodes. A sort of sequel to Charles Dickens' beloved novel Oliver Twist from 1838, it stars The Maze Runner actor Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Harry Potter star David Thewlis.

Described by the streamer as "a tale of reinvention, betrayal, redemption, and love with a twist", the show follows Jack Dawkins, "whose fast, pickpocketing fingers have turned into the skilled hands of a surgeon". The synopsis continues, "Lady Belle, the Governor’s daughter, is brilliant and captivating, capturing Dodger’s heart as she is determined to make history as the first female surgeon. Dodger is torn between the promise of an impossible love in high society, and the instinctive temptation of the criminal underworld he secretly craves. His past returns to haunt him with the arrival of Fagin, luring him back for one last heist. From life-and-death surgeries, to the tightrope of love, this will require Artfulness."

The acid cop satire first started with Leslie Nielsen's original Frank Drebin, who debuted in the TV show Police Squad before starring in his own film Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad in 1988. The new film, starring Liam Neeson, Pamela Anderson and Paul Walter Hauser, follows Frank Drebin Jr. as he tries to solve a murder connected to a tech mogul while doing his best to save his police unit from being shut down.

Things start to get weird after the pair go for a walk in the forest and they stumble upon a mysterious water source, which they feel compelled to drink, resulting in an extreme transformation of their love, their lives, and their flesh too.

Rob Reiner's beloved classic This is Spinal Tap got a sequel this year, and it's now available to watch on HBO Max. Forty-one years after the release of the groundbreaking mockumentary, the now estranged bandmates David St. Hubbins, Nigel Tufnel, and Derek Smalls (played by Michael McKean, Christopher Guest, and Harry Shearer) are forced to reunite for one final concert.

With Reiner playing documentarian Marty Di Bergi in his last on-screen role, the sequel is once again a hilarious mockumentary capturing a group of metal icons. "Joined by music royalty Paul McCartney and Elton John, Spinal Tap wrestles with their checkered past to put on a concert that they hope will solidify their place in the pantheon of rock 'n' roll," reads the official logline.

His colleague Father Jud (Josh O'Connor) will have to team up with detective Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig) to solve the mystery, and there are plenty of suspects – Martha Delacroix (Glenn Close), devout Catholic and Wicks' "right-hand woman", local doctor Nat Sharp (Jeremy Renner), uptight lawyer Vera Draven (Kerry Washington), former bestselling author Lee Ross (Andrew Scott), retired concert cellist Simone Vivane (Cailee Spaeny), aspiring politician Cy Draven (Daryl McCormack), and groundskeeper Samson Holt (Thomas Haden Church).

Per the official synopsis, "When their beloved dog Merv loses his spark after their split, Anna and Russ are forced into the world's most awkward co-parenting arrangement. Hoping to shake Merv out of his funk, Russ takes him to Florida for a much-needed getaway – only for Anna to show up unexpectedly. As Merv slowly gets his groove back, turns out fixing their dog's broken heart may lead to a few sparks of their own."

With a decent 70% Rotten Tomatoes approval rating, Neighborhood Watch is a sort of buddy comedy movie led by a dysfunctional duo which pays tribute to 1970s cinema.

Per the logline, "When a mentally ill young man thinks he witnesses an abduction and the police refuse to believe him, he reluctantly turns to his next door neighbor – a bitter, retired security guard – to help him find the missing woman."

It: Welcome to Derry season finale (HBO Max)

It: Welcome to Derry wraps its first season this Sunday on HBO Max, so get ready for a final bloodbath with Pennywise. Serving as a prequel to Andy Muschietti's It and It: Chapter Two, the show is inspired by the interludes in Stephen King's original novel, taking a deep dive into Derry's history while delivering plenty of Stephen King Easter eggs for fans. Oh, and Bill Skarsgård reprised his role as the terrifying Dancing Clown – though it came late into the season, the wait was worth it.

Taking place 27 years before the events of the first It film, the show explores the origins of Pennywise and focuses on Mike's grandparents Charlotte (played by Taylour Paige) and Leroy (played by Jovan Adepo) after they move to Derry and strike up a friendship with one of the Black Spot's founders Dick Hallorann (played by Chris Chalk) – yes, the character from The Shining!

• Via third party: Sorry folks, you aren't able to get the Disney Plus upgrade if you already have a membership via a third party (e.g. as a free gift with an internet membership). It all starts when Judy Hopps (voiced by Ginnifer Goodwin) leaves her small town and moves to the big city of Zootopia to become the first rabbit to join the police force. Although smaller than her peers, Judy uses her endless enthusiasm and idealism to face the tough work ahead. When a mysterious case arrives at the police station, Judy jumps (literally) at the opportunity to prove herself, accepting the help of a fox, Nick Wilde (voiced by Jason Bateman), who likes to occasionally bend the law.

Home Alone is one of the most beloved Christmas movies of all time, spawning a franchise over several decades.

The first movie, first released in 1990, follows 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (played by Macaulay Culkin) as he is accidentally left at home during the Christmas break while his family travel to Paris. By the time they realize he's not there, it's too late. Kevin is all too happy to stay home, but a couple of burglars (played by Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) planning to rob the McCallister residence threaten to disturb his peace, forcing him to protect his home by ALL means necessary.

With some serious The Twilight Zone vibes, Pluribus stars Better Call Saul's Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka, who as "the most miserable person on Earth" is one of the few capable of saving the world from a virus that is causing people to become perpetually happy. However, The Ugly Stepsister is going to surprise you, as it leans into what makes fairytales creepy in the first place while addressing sexism and the dangers of unrealistic beauty standards.

Written and directed by Emilie Blichfeldt, the film follows Elvira (played by Lea Myren), who lives in a kingdom where beauty is everything. That's something she begins to realize when she prepares to attend a ball to win the prince’s affection, but she could never compete with her beautiful stepsister (Cinderella). Driven by jealousy, Elvira will stop at nothing to make herself the belle of the ball, even if that means going to extreme and disgusting lengths.

If you're looking for a high-stakes suspense thriller to keep you entertained this weekend, Flight Risk might just do the trick. Don't expect one of the best thrillers you've ever seen, though, as this is pure dumb fun with no pretensions. It's directed by Mel Gibson, and stars Mark Wahlberg in a truly surprising role.

The Uncharted star plays a pilot transporting an Air Marshal (played by Downton Abbey's Michelle Dockery) accompanying a fugitive to trial. "As they cross the Alaskan wilderness, tensions soar and trust is tested, as not everyone on board is who they seem," reads the logline.

Hulu's Kim Kardashian-starring show All's Fair has been renewed for season 2. The renewal comes as a bit of a surprise as the show debuted to a 0% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which has since climbed to 3%, spawning a series of clips that went viral for being, frankly, terrible. Is this an example of a show actually managing to attract viewers, or is it another example of what I'll call the "Morbius effect?"

What is the Morbius effect, you ask? Well, back in 2022, Sony's Jared Leto-led superhero bomb Morbius had a particularly poor showing in its initial theatrical run. However, the studio infamously mistook the movie's presence as a meme to be mocked on social media as some kind of positive word of mouth, perhaps envisioning it as a "midnight movie" candidate, re-releasing the film to even worse reception.

That seems to be partially what's happening with All's Fair, which managed to rake in viewers despite almost catastrophically bad reviews, some of which named it as one of the worst dramas of all time (certainly one of the worst things multi-award-winning co-star Glenn Close has been involved in).

Many viewers were ironically attracted to the show by particularly ridiculous clips that went viral on social media, seemingly helping All's Fair to launch at number one on Hulu's charts, with the streamer announcing the series as its most-watched scripted TV debut in three years, according to THR.

That's not to discount a real audience for All's Fair, which has undoubtedly brought in viewers who are here for this particularly extreme example of creator Ryan Murphy's usually campy, over-the-top style, as the RT audience score has managed to hit 66%.

Speaking personally, I skipped the show. Kardashian's turn in American Horror Story was, let's say, not for me. And Murphy's other recent series, Monster: The Ed Gein Story played so fast and loose with combining reality and fiction that I found it nearly irresponsible.

Will All's Fair take off in season 2? Or is this a case of Hulu mistaking a set of meme-worthy clips for positive feedback and popularity? We won't know for sure until season 2 actually happens (whenever that is), but perhaps the show will find a sincere audience as it continues.

The Conjuring: Last Rites not only became the highest grossing horror movie of 2025, but it also scored the biggest global opening ever for a horror movie. Last Rites sees Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren, with Mia Tomlinson playing their daughter Judy. The story is based on the real-life Smurl haunting, which saw a Pennsylvania couple claim that their home was inhabited by a demon for 15 years in the '70s and '80s. The Warrens come out of retirement to help the family, unaware that there are some evil forces at play and Judy is their target.

The Roses, starring Oscar winner Olivia Colman and Marvel star Benedict Cumberbatch, has landed on Hulu this week, and it's a hilarious (and surprisingly violent) watch. The amazing chemistry between the two leads and a star-studded supporting cast (including Andy Samberg, Allison Janney, Ncuti Gatwa, Jamie Demetriou, Kate McKinnon, and more) should be enough to make you press play.

A new take on the 1989 classic film The War of the Roses, based on the novel by Warren Adler, the film follows couple Ivy (Colman) and Theo (Cumberbatch) as the façade of their perfect marriage crumbles. "As Theo's career nosedives while Ivy's own ambitions take off, a tinderbox of fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites," reads the synopsis.

Train Dreams (Netflix)

A tale of love, family, and loss, Train Dreams is one of the streaming highlights of the month on Netflix. Directed by Clint Bentley, the film is an adaptation of Denis Johnson's novella of the same name, and it stars Joel Edgerton, Felicity Jones, William H. Macy, and Kerry Condon.

The film follows the life of Robert Grainier (Edgerton), whose life "unfolds during an era of unprecedented change in early 20th-century America", according to Tudum. "Orphaned at a young age, Robert grows into adulthood among the towering forests of the Pacific Northwest, where he helps expand the nation's railroad empire alongside men as unforgettable as the landscapes they inhabit," continues the synopsis, which describes the movie as "an ode to a vanishing way of life, an ever-evolving world, and to the extraordinary possibilities that exist within even the most simple of existences."

The Family Plan 2 (Apple TV Plus)

If you enjoyed The Family Plan on Apple TV Plus, there's a sequel now available to watch with the main cast returning. Mark Wahlberg, Michelle Monaghan, Zoe Colletti, and Van Crosby reprise their roles from the first film, which saw them living a surreal adventure when Wahlberg's character's past as a former top assassin catches up to him. So, what's next for the family?

In the sequel, set in the holiday season, Dan (Wahlberg) has planned the perfect vacation for his wife Jessica (Monaghan) and their kids overseas, but a mysterious figure from his past (played by Game of Thrones star Kit Harington) will stand in their way. "An international game of cat-and-mouse ensues as Dan and his family battle, bicker and bond their way through a series of bank heists, holiday hijinks and car chases amid scenic European terrain," reads the logline.

As Wicked: For Good lands in cinemas this weekend, we're taking the opportunity to recommend a very different film in the Oz universe, which has been mostly forgotten by modern audiences. Released in 1985, Return to Oz is an unofficial sequel to 1939's classic The Wizard of Oz, with the script using material from L. Frank Baum's early 20th century Oz novels.

Starring a very young Fairuza Balk (The Craft), the film follows Dorothy as she returns to the Land of Oz, only to find it has been conquered by the wicked Nome King and his accomplice Princess Mombi. Navigating a land filled with dangers, Dorothy must restore Oz with the help of her new friends Billina, Tik-Tok, Jack Pumpkinhead, and the Gump.

The story follows Sherriff Joe Cross (played by Joaquin Phoenix) as he slowly but surely starts to unravel during lockdown. In the small town of Eddington, tensions begin to rise amongst residents, with Joe starting a war with Mayor Ted Garcia (played by Pedro Pascal) while the social and political climate in the country gets to a breaking point. The cast also includes Emma Stone, Austin Butler, Luke Grimes and Deirdre O'Connell.

Freakier Friday (Disney Plus)

A few months after its cinema release, Freakier Friday is now available to watch on Disney Plus, and it's perfect for those looking for a nostalgic and fun watch. Legacy sequels don't always work as well as we would hope, but this follow-up to 2003's classic Freaky Friday managed to convince critics and viewers alike – it has an audience approval rating of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes!

Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis reprise their roles from the first movie 20 years later, as they face a very similar situation. Anna (Lohan) has now her own rebellious daughter, Harper (Julia Butters), and a soon-to-be-step-daughter, Harper's rival classmate Lily (Sophia Hammons). With plenty of family problems brewing ahead of Anna's wedding with Eric (Manny Jacinto), the four women find themselves in a four-way body swap, and chaos ensues.

Drop (Prime Video)

It slipped under the radar when it was first released earlier this year, but Drop might be one of the most entertaining films of the year. "A Hitchcockian thriller that cleverly utilizes modern technology for its twists and turns, Drop delivers on its pulpy premise while providing a welcome showcase for leading lady Meghann Fahy," reads the critics consensus on Rotten Tomatoes, and we couldn't agree more.

Fahy (best known for The White Lotus season 2 and Netflix's Sirens) plays Violet, a widowed mother who is going on her first date in years. As she arrives at a beautiful restaurant, she is relieved that her date Henry (played by It Ends with Us star Brandon Sklenar) is both charming and handsome. "But their chemistry begins to curdle as Violet begins being irritated and then terrorized by a series of anonymous drops to her phone," reads the official synopsis. "She is instructed to tell nobody and follow instructions or the hooded figure she sees on her home security cameras will kill Violet's young son and babysitting sister. Violet must do exactly as directed or everyone she loves will die. Her unseen tormentor's final directive? Kill Henry."

Madame Web (Hulu)

Now, we all know what happened with Madame Web and the terrible reviews it got upon release last year. However, it has slowly become the kind of bad film viewers love to hate and make fun of through memes, and that's also pretty fun. Is Madame Web the new The Room? Maybe. It definitely rivals Tommy Wiseau in bad performances and embarrassing dialogues (who could forget the viral line: "He was in the Amazon with my mom when she was researching spiders right before she died"), and that's why you might want to give it another watch... just for the laughs.

The movie follows New York City paramedic Cassandra Webb (played by Dakota Johnson) who starts to experience clairvoyant powers that connect her with three young women (Sydney Sweeney, Celeste O’Connor, and Isabela Merced). With her newfound ability, she must revisit her past and save her new Spidey sisters from mysterious adversary Ezekiel Sims (Tahar Rahim) who wants them dead.

What has been a pretty lackluster season for One-Punch Man is only getting worse as anime fans are more disappointed than ever with season 3's latest episode, so much so, they are urging others to lodge formal complaints.

One-Punch Man season 3, episode 5 landed on Crunchyroll and Hulu on November 9, but just like previous episodes, fans are not happy with the quality and overall treatment of the original manga. "This episode was janky, rushed, and unbelievably disappointing," said one fan on Twitter. "Hate to say it, but no more hope from me. The season is beyond saving. The damage has been done."

Another added, "Although I'm enjoying it, I'm greatly disappointed with the state of the One Punch Man anime. It is clear that the anime production committee believes that people will watch no matter what… If we knew this would be the outcome, many wouldn't have waited 6 years."

The fan then urged other disheartened fans to "make your voice heard," and leave feedback on the One-Punch Man series owners Bandai Namco Filmworks' official website. "I in no way denounce the animators. In fact, I'm thankful for them and their willingness to work on this project that was clearly lacking in time or resources. They have done an incredible job of it's the scraps they have," continued the fan.

This is not the first piece of negative feedback the One-Punch Man team has received in the wake of season 3. The general feeling amongst fans is that after a long wait between seasons 2 and 3, the end result is lazy, with stiff animation and zero action. However, due to disappointed fans not holding back, One Piece animator Vincent Chansard had to step in to defend the animators, and later, One-Punch Man's director Shinpei Nagai deleted his social media platforms.

However, some argue that season 3 was set up to fail before it even hit screens. The series launched under Madhouse in 2015 and was well-received by fans. However, after it was dropped after one season, fellow Japanese animation studio J.C. Staff picked it up and released season 2 in 2019. But it was clear that J.C.'s animation style was not quite up to par, which became even clearer when One-Punch Man season 3 premiered on October 12, 2025.

With a 95% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, Sovereign has quietly become one of the best-reviewed films of the year, and now you can give it a watch on Hulu.

Described as "a nerve-jangling thriller that exposes how reactionary extremism can lead to a road of destruction", the film stars Nick Offerman, Jacob Tremblay, Thomas Mann, Nancy Travis, Martha Plimpton, and Dennis Quaid, and it's based on the events of the 2010 West Memphis police shootings.

The plot focuses on Jerry (Offerman) and his teenage son Joseph (Tremblay) as they "follow the Sovereign Citizen belief system, a deeply anti-establishment worldview rooted in distrust of government authority". They travel across the country delivering seminars and criticizing the system, but their journey brings them into conflict with the police, with increasingly dangerous consequences.

The Alto Knights (Prime Video)

Robert de Niro playing opposite himself? Yes, please. The Alto Knights sees the legendary star portraying the dual roles of infamous crime bosses Frank Costello and Vito Genovese, and it's based on the real history of the downfall of the American Mafia. As movie lovers know, this is a perfect job for De Niro, who has starred in some of the greatest gangster movies ever made, from The Godfather Part 2 and Goodfellas to The Irishman.

Directed by Barry Levinson, the mob drama tells the story of the rival Italian American mafia bosses running two separate crime families in the '50s. Once the best of friends when they were teenagers, now they are governed by petty jealousies and betrayals, placing them on a deadly collision course. Written by Nicholas Pileggi, The Alto Knights also stars Debra Messing, Cosmo Jarvis, and The Sopranos star Kathrine Narducci.

Intrigued? Pluribus is all about the big philosophical questions, and we can't wait to sink our teeth into it.

The story follows the reunion of a codependent friend group as they navigate how their time apart, ambitions and new relationships have changed them – for better or worse. The Witcher season 4 (Netflix)

A new season of The Witcher is now available to watch on Netflix, and there's a new White Wolf in the house. After Henry Cavill stepped down, Hunger Games star Liam Hemsworth took over as the hero Geralt de Rivia, debuting in the new episodes. He's joined by the usual suspects – Freya Allan as Ciri, Anya Chalotra as Yennefer, and Joey Batey as Jaskier – and new cast additions like The Matrix icon Laurence Fishburne. Expect plenty of peril and action from this new season!

Per Netflix's official synopsis, "After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other. If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire – and finding one another again."

Another season of Only Murders in the Building has wrapped up this week, as the latest mystery in The Arconia has been solved. Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez) have faced new challenges this season, investigating not one but two crimes and recruiting Howard Morris (played by Michael Cyril Creighton) as an unofficial fourth member of the gang.

With Logan Lerman joining the recurring cast, the new episodes also took the protagonists out of Manhattan while investigating Lester's mysterious "accidental" death, and they've done numerous recordings of their popular podcast. After premiering at the Toronto International Film Festival last month, Tessa Thompson's new film Hedda has arrived on streaming this week, and it's one for those who love period dramas with a lot of emotional intensity. The film is directed by Nia DaCosta, who helmed The Marvels and the upcoming 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

A modernized take on Henrik Ibsen's classic play Hedda Gabler condensed into one evening, the film reimagines the story in the 1950s with Hedda's former lover Eilert as Eileen (played by Nina Hoss), which adds another layer to Hedda's new husband's professional jealousy from the source material. The cast also includes Imogen Poots, Tom Bateman, and Nicholas Pinnock.

Sorry, Baby (HBO Max)

Directed by Eva Victor, who also stars alongside Naomi Ackie and Lucas Hedges, A24's latest release Sorry, Baby is one to watch. With an impressive 97% on Rotten Tomatoes, the film has received lots of praise, and it's a perfect choice for those who don't necessarily want to have a Halloween-themed night this weekend.

The film's synopsis (via Letterboxd) reads, "Agnes feels stuck. Unlike her best friend, Lydie, who’s moved to New York and is now expecting a baby, Agnes still lives in the New England house they once shared as graduate students, now working as a professor at her alma mater. A ‘bad thing’ happened to Agnes a few years ago and, since then, despite her best efforts, life hasn’t gotten back on track."

Sarah Michelle Gellar says she never saw herself playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer again, let alone returning for the upcoming Hulu reboot.

"It was not a place that I ever saw myself, so it definitely felt very surreal," Gellar told Variety. "But this is why you never say never, and I'm sure I said 'never' many times, and I’ve learned my lesson because I'm sure someday you’re gonna go back and find all the times I said, 'No, never. I'm too old. It'll be Buffy with a walker.'"

Buffy the Vampire Slayer began with the 1992 film of the same name, originally starring Kristy Swanson. After a TV series based on the film was greenlit over at 20th Century Fox Television, the story went into a different, darker direction, and Gellar replaced Swanson as the titular slayer. The show premiered in 1997 and lasted for seven seasons (with two seasons of the spin-off show Angel running at the same time), before finally ending in 2003.

The actor developed the new revival season of Buffy with filmmaker Chloé Zhao and writing duo Nora and Lilla Zuckerman, who serve as head writers. The series takes place in New Sunnydale, where Buffy ends up mentoring a new young slayer named Nova (played by Ryan Kiera Armstrong). The cast also includes Faly Rakotohavana (Unprisoned) as Hugo; Ava Jean (Law & Order: SVU) as Larkin; Sarah Bock (Severance) as Gracie; Daniel Di Tomasso (CSI: Vegas) as Nova's single father; and Jack Cutmore-Scott (Frasier) as Mr. Burke.

Continued Gellar: "This is a show that will cater definitely to the [original fans]. There will always be Easter eggs because there were Easter eggs in the original…but we also want to introduce it to people that maybe haven’t seen the show."

Pennywise is back! HBO's new show It: Welcome to Derry serves as a prequel to Andy Muschietti's It and It: Chapter Two, and it is largely inspired by the interludes in Stephen King's original novel. Get ready to learn everything about Derry's dark history, from the mysterious disappearance of the Roanoke settlers to the burning of the beloved club The Black Spot. Bill Skarsgård is reprising his role as the terrifying Pennywise, which is terrific news for horror fans, as the show offers more details about the character's past.

Taking place 27 years before the events of the first It film, the show explores the origins of Pennywise and focuses on Mike's grandparents Charlotte (played by Taylour Paige) and Leroy (played by Jovan Adepo) after they move to Derry and strike up a friendship with one of the Black Spot's founders Dick Hallorann (played by Chris Chalk). Yes, THAT Dick Halloran from The Shining. The Stephen King multiverse is alive!

Invasion is wrapping another season this week, so now is the time to catch up with everything that happened in the previous episodes. Season 3 saw Golshifteh Farahani's Aneesha Malik, Shamier Anderson's Trevante Cole, and Shioli Kutsuna's Mitsuki Yamato returning for a new chapter in the show, created by X-Men writer Simon Kinberg and Hunters creator David Weil. Gen V season 2 finale episode (Prime Video)

After that big twist that fans saw coming in last week's episode regarding the burned-up man, we are ready to dive in into the last episode of Gen V season 2 this week and see how the story sets up the upcoming The Boys season 5. After lots of violence, blood and superhero action, the final episode is now available to watch on Prime Video.

Season 2 of the spin-off show saw Marie (Jaz Sinclair), Jordan (Derek Luh, London Thor), and Emma (Lizze Broadway) find themselves up against God U's new dean Cipher (Hamish Linklater), who seems to be obsessed with unleashing Marie's supposedly infinite power. As we'll find out soon enough, she was one of two survivors of Thomas Godolkin's Odessa Project experiments, with the goal being to make super Supes.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow, the film portrays a race against time. After a missile strike is aimed at the United States, those in power scramble to discover the truth before it's too late. The Hand That Rocks the Cradle, the 1992 classic starring Rebecca De Mornay and Annabella Sciorra, is coming back to our screens this week with a brand-new take. Hulu's remake directed by Michelle Garza Cervera is a psychological horror-esque thriller that sees Longlegs' Maika Monroe and 10 Cloverfield Lane's Mary Elizabeth Winstead taking over from the original stars.

The story follows Polly, a nanny hired by a suburban couple to look after their new baby. However, Polly's intentions are not what they seem, and the mother, Caitlin, soon realizes that her sweet appearance conceals something meaner and darker. Raúl Castillo and Martin Starr complete the main cast.

The story centers on a middle-aged family guy named Ronald Trosper (Robinson) as his simple customer-service complaint turns into a mysterious investigation that will uncover a vast and elaborate conspiracy. Per the official poster, "There's a whole world under the surface, and only Ron has any idea about it. And sometimes the two worlds collide, and sometimes they don’t. Ron holds them at arm’s length from each other. Watch every week to find out when he can and when he can’t."

Splinter Cell: Deathwatch (Netflix)

Netflix just released an animated adaptation of Tom Clancy's Ubisoft's game franchise titled Splinter Cell: Deathwatch, and it might be one of the most exciting animated releases of the year on TV. The show comes from John Wick creator Derek Kolstad and stars Liev Schreiber, who starred in the live-action Tom Clancy movie The Sum of All Fears over 20 years ago. If you got to see the first trailer, you know there is going to be plenty of fights and action here.

The story takes place years after the events of the games, with an older Sam Fisher pushed back out of retirement. The official synopsis for the Netflix show reads, "In this first-ever adaptation of the acclaimed stealth video game Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, legendary agent Sam Fisher is drawn back into the field when a wounded young operative seeks out his help."

Described as Dexter meets Bad Sisters (via Deadline), Obituary has returned this week on Hulu with a season 2, which promises more murders and bloody situations. Siobhán Cullen reprises her role as Elvira Clancy, an obituary writer on a small-town Irish newspaper who occasionally multitasks as a serial killer.

The story picks up from the events of season 1 as Elvira struggles with the death of her father. Although she finds some solace in killing, her peace is disturbed by a mysterious murder in town, so she becomes determined to solve the case. Eccentric newspaper editor Vivienne (played by Extraordinary star Máiréad Tyers) will join her in the investigation.

Originally released in 1983 and adapted from Ray Bradbury's 1962 dark fantasy novel of the same name, Something Wicked This Way Comes is finally available to watch on streaming, and you should give it a watch.

The film follows Will and Jim, two kids living in a small Midwestern town haunted by a travelling circus led by Mr. Dark (played by Jonathan Pryce). This mysterious and eerie figure grants wishes, but for a price. The cast also includes Jason Robards, Pam Grier, Royal Dano, and Diane Ladd.

My Hero Academia season 8 (Hulu)

The eighth and final season of My Hero Academia debuted last weekend, so this is your reminder to catch up with it as soon as possible! With the second episode coming to Hulu and Crunchyroll this Saturday, things are already getting serious between Izuku Midoriya's hero side and Shigaraki's villains.

It's Con Air meets The Fugitive, according to co-creator Jon Bokenkamp, and that's just music to our ears.

Starring Jason Clarke alongside Dominic Cooper and Haley Bennett, the plot follows retired U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick as he deals with a massive threat to his peaceful town in Alaska. After a federal transport of convicts crashes two miles south of the location, Remnick has to track down dozens of violent inmates before they wreak havoc on the area.

The Strangers star Madelaine Petsch is swapping creepy serial killers for cheesy romance in Prime Video's new original movie Maintenance Required. The film also stars Jacob Scipio, Outer Banks star Madison Bailey, Katy O'Brian, and Inanna Sarkis.

The film follows the fiercely independent owner of an all-female mechanic shop, Charlie (Petsch), who sees her future in danger when a flashy corporate competitor moves in across the street. Seeking comfort, she opens up with a stranger online, unaware she's confiding in the very rival threatening her livelihood. We're getting some serious You've Got Mail vibes here.

UK viewers who have logged into Disney Plus over the last 24 hours may have noticed something a little bit different about the streamer. Yes, the Star tab is no more, replaced with Hulu. This changeover is the result of Disney's ongoing plans to integrate its various sub-brands into Disney Plus.

Star launched in 2021 and provided a home in the UK, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, for what Disney called at the time "general entertainment." In practice that meant a lot of content with more mature themes. When Disney bought Fox in 2019, Star became the home for shows like The X-Files and Family Guy, and for horror movie franchises like Alien and Predator.

Hulu, meanwhile, launched way back in 2007, with Disney acquiring a majority stake in the streamer in 2019, and taking full ownership in 2023. In August this year, a joint statement by Disney CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston stated that Disney would be "fully integrating" Hulu into Disney Plus throughout 2025 and 2026, to "create an impressive package of entertainment, pairing the highest-caliber brands and franchises, great general entertainment, family programming, news and industry-leading live sports content in a single app."

Functionally, there's not presently a huge difference in terms of the content available through Hulu and Star – though some shows and movies may only be licensed in one territory or another. Hulu and Disney Plus remain separate in United States for the time being, with the two merging sometime in 2026. Until then, US-based viewers can access Hulu by paying for one of a range of bundles that allow access the service.

Ryan Murphy's Monster anthology is back on Netflix following the award-winning The Jeffrey Dahmer Story and last year's The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story. The third season focuses on real life serial killer Ed Gein, whose heinous acts went on to inspire horror movies like Psycho, The Silence of the Lambs, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Starring Sons of Anarchy star Charlie Hunnam, Monster: The Ed Gein Story focuses on Gein's crimes in his isolated farm in 1950s rural Wisconsin, which included murdering several women as well as exhuming corpses to make clothing and keepsakes from skin and other body parts. "Driven by isolation, psychosis, and an all-consuming obsession with his mother, Gein's perverse crimes birthed a new kind of monster that would haunt Hollywood for decades," reads the official synopsis.

Chad Powers (Hulu)

Top Gun: Maverick star Glen Powell does his own Mrs. Doubtfire with football in Chad Powers, a new Hulu series which premiered this week. Before sprinting through highly explosive chaos in Edgar Wright's take on Running Man, Powell is gracing our screens with this comedy series, co-created by former NFL quarterbacks Eli and Peyton Manning.

The show follows a sports-star-in-the-making, Russ Holliday, who sees his promising career end abruptly when he fumbles a touchdown that costs his team the college championship game. Eight years later, he creates a different persona with some face prosthetics and tries again to find his place in the football landscape. Chad Powers also stars Steve Zahn, Perry Mattfeld, Toby Huss, Frankie A. Rodriguez, and Wynn Everett.

Following a limited release in cinemas, Matthew McConaughey's new movie The Lost Bus is available to watch on Apple TV Plus this weekend, and it's a harrowing watch. Director Paul Greengrass (best known for the Bourne saga) and Mare of Easttown's Brad Ingelsby take us to the very heart of Paradise's 2018 fires.

Based on a true story, the film follows school-bus driver Kevin McKay (McConaughey) as he is sent to collect a group of kids and their teacher Mary Ludwig (Barbie's America Ferrera) when the fires start to get out of control. With a sick mother and teenage son waiting for him at home, Kevin makes the hard decision to come to the kids' rescue, which turns into a dangerous journey into a ranging inferno.

One of the best horror movies of 2025, Bring Her Back, is now available to stream, and there's no better choice if you're looking for an eerie watch this weekend. After the critically-acclaimed and utterly terrifying Talk to Me, the Philippou brothers return with this excellent horror movie, which features an extraordinary performance by Sally Hawkins.

The story follows two siblings, Andy (Billy Barratt) and Piper (Sora Wong), who are sent to live with an eccentric foster mother, Laura (Hawkins), in an isolated country house. When strange things start happening, particularly regarding another foster kid named Oliver, Andy uncovers a horrifying truth.

If you're looking for an easy watch this weekend, Mark Wahlberg's new action thriller Play Dirty might do the trick. Released on Prime Video, the movie is directed by Shane Black, who is best known for Iron Man 3, The Nice Guys, and The Predator, and features a stacked cast seemingly having the best time on screen.

The story follows "an expert thief" who "rolls out the biggest heist of his life", according to the official synopsis. Alongside a "skilled crew", Wahlberg's Parker stumbles "onto a score that pits them against the New York mob in this gritty, clever caper". Undone star Rosa Salazar, The Super Mario Bros. Movie's Keegan-Michael Key, Peacemaker's Chukwudi Iwuji, and Monk's Tony Shalhoub round up the cast.

The Balloonist (Disney Plus)

If serial killer thrillers, terrifying horror movies and comedy series are just not what you're looking for this weekend, maybe you need to try a different approach and give The Balloonist a shot. This Disney Plus' original Dutch film, directed by Tim Oliehoek and starring Sallie Harmsen, blends drama and comedy to deliver a heartwarming watch.

"Out of the blue, Gaby’s life is turned upside down when an arrogant hot-air balloon pilot crash-lands on top of her coop full of heritage chickens," reads the official synopsis. "The collision exposes a festering family conflict and forces Gaby to confront the haughty balloonist as well as her own problematic past. Will she be able to make amends and give herself and her seven-year-old son a better future?"

Alice in Borderland season 3 (Netflix)

The long-awaited Alice in Borderland season 3 is finally here! Fans have been waiting 3 years for Netflix's hit series to return, so expectations are high. The survival action series was first released in 2020 to great success, eventually becoming the most watched Japanese Netflix title on the site worldwide.

Looking just as wild as previous installments, the new season follows on directly from the ending of season 2, where we saw Arisu and Usagi leaving the games and heading back to the real world to live a normal life. However, they can't escape the horror of the games, and one day, Usagi vanishes and later Arisu is handed the final card: the Joker. Now, per the logline, "new deadly games return", as "Arisu, Usagi and new players must navigate even more daunting, adrenaline-fueled challenges".

Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden are back as the leads of another action-packed season. Per the official synopsis, season 5 will see everyone feeling suspicious "when resident tech nerd Roddy Ho has a glamorous new girlfriend, but when a series of increasingly bizarre events occur across the city, it falls to the Slow Horses to work out how everything is connected."

Marvel Zombies (Disney Plus)

The MCU is back on the small screen, but not as you might expect. As its title reveals, Marvel Zombies is all about turning some iconic Marvel characters into zombies, while some surviving heroes try to save humanity from being destroyed by a plague of the living dead. The four-episode animated series takes place in a parallel world, much like its predecessor What If...?

Marvel fans will be thrilled to be reunited with characters like T'Challa aka Black Panther, and introduced (finally) to the MCU's first Blade (voiced by Todd Williams, not Mahershala Ali). Now, these superheroes are not featured here exactly as we remember – for example, Blade is actually rebranded as Blade Knight, a blend of the Daywalker and Moon Knight's Avatar of Konshu.

The Good Place seasons 1 - 4 (Prime Video)

If you never gave The Good Place a chance when it first aired from 2016 to 2020, now is the time! All seasons of the show have been added to Prime Video in the US this week, and we can't think of a more charming show to keep you entertained ahead of the new month. It will make you ask yourself some pretty big philosophical questions too.

The show starts when Eleanor Shellstrop (played by Kristen Bell) dies and is placed in the Good Place, a sort of Heaven designed and supervised by Michael (played by Cheers icon Ted Danson). She knows it's been a mistake, so she hides her morally dubious past to stay, while trying to become a better person. William Jackson Harper, Jameela Jamil, D'Arcy Carden and Star Wars star Manny Jacinto complete the main cast.

Superman (HBO Max)

Superman has landed on streaming this month, following its successful $615-million box office run, and we know you can't wait to see it again. David Corenswet stars as the Man of Steel, alongside Rachel Brosnahan as his Daily Planet colleague Lois Lane and Nicholas Hoult as his nemesis Lex Luthor.

The first DCU movie is a perfect blend of action, comedy, and Superman lore, with several scene-stealing supporting characters and some truly memorable scenes. With Supergirl flying to cinemas next year and Superman: Man of Tomorrow already scheduled for 2027, it's time to rewatch one of 2025's best movies.

As the latest (and first small-screen) installment of the beloved Alien franchise, Alien: Earth has a lot to live up to – and lead prosthetics artist Steven Painter says he felt that the most strongly when taking on the show's version of the chestburster.

Warning: there are Alien: Earth spoilers ahead, so proceed with caution if you're not up to date!

"As far as the effect that took the longest in my head – which was about a year to work it out – was the chestburster sequence," Painter told Bloody Disgusting. "When Noah [Hawley, showrunner] approached me to do it, he mentioned the John Hurt chestburster moment. It’s an iconic scene. From my point of view, it’s quite pressurizing to come up with something as good as that in a show like this."

The scene in the show occurs in episode 7, the season's penultimate episode, when a newborn Xenomorph bursts out of Arthur's chest. In the original movie, the chestburster's target is John Hurt's Kane, resulting in one of the most iconic scenes in sci-fi movie history. No pressure, then.

"So I approached it very carefully and I watched the original sequence over and over," Painter continued. "I broke it down and took elements from it, but then updated it for modern times. What I really wanted to do was expand on it. So we see the whole body of the creature now, and it’s in daylight. We gave ourselves a lot of work to do, but hopefully we’ve given the fans what they wanted to see."

The story follows two brothers pushed to the edge by old traumas that threaten to come to the surface and bring ruin to their lives. Jake Friedkin (Law) is the charismatic owner of the restaurant Black Rabbit, which is set to become one of the hottest places in town, but when his brother Vince (Bateman) returns unexpectedly, trouble soon follows.

Based on true events, the show focuses on the Indigenous people of Hawai'i during their unification and colonization period in the late 18th century. Per the official synopsis, in the show Kaʻiana "travels outside of the islands as the 'most famous Hawaiian in the world', returns home and joins a bloody campaign until, at the last minute, he rebels against the unification of Hawaiʻi that took place from 1782 to 1810 under Kamehameha I."

The story follows a young boy who accidentally becomes planet Earth's intergalactic ambassador after he makes contact with aliens and is beamed up to space. The voice cast includes Avatar's Zoe Saldaña, The Good Place's Jameela Jamil, and Oppenheimer's Matthias Schweighöfer.

Alex Garland's star-studded war movie Warfare is one of the most impressive movies of the year. A few months after releasing in theaters, the film is now available to stream, and it's definitely one to add to your watchlist. The cast includes Cosmo Jarvis (Shōgun), Will Poulter (The Bear), Joseph Quinn (Fantastic Four), Kit Connor (Heartstopper), Charles Melton (May December), Michael Gandolfini (Daredevil: Born Again), and Noah Centineo (Street Fighter), and it's a perfect follow-up to Garland's film Civil War.

Based on the real-life experiences of former U.S. Navy SEAL Ray Mendoza, who co-wrote and co-directed the film, Warfare follows in real time a Navy SEAL platoon venturing through insurgent territory and the relentless, nerve-shredding operation that unfolds there.

Hulu's new original movie sees Pam & Tommy star Lily James transforming into Whitney Wolfe Herd, founder and CEO of the popular dating app Bumble. If you're curious about how this app came to be, Swiped has the answers, with Dan Stevens and Myha'la joining James in the main cast.

The film starts with Whitney Wolfe as a recent college grad who uses her "extraordinary grit and ingenuity to break into the male-dominated tech industry and launch an innovative, globally lauded dating app." She went on to become the youngest female self-made billionaire, and this is her success story.

Alien: Earth showrunner Noah Hawley has addressed episode 7's big Xenomorph development – and he wasn't sure whether it was going to go down well with viewers.

In this week's installment, titled 'Emergence,' synthetic Wendy (Sydney Chandler) manages to communicate with a Xenomorph and gets it to help them by taking out a group of Yutani soldiers, seemingly making a tentative ally out of the creature.

"One of the big question marks was if fans were going to go with this idea," Hawley told The Hollywood Reporter. "I don’t want her to have [a Xenomorph as a] pet. But if it seems like an alliance has been struck, what are the interesting possibilities that we can pull out of that? And because this is a horror story, we have to assume that, ultimately, I wouldn’t bet on this working out."

The TV show is set two years before the events of 1979's Alien and deals with the aftermath of the USCSS Maginot , a Weyland-Yutani research vessel, crash-landing on Earth with some familiar extraterrestrials on board.

"An Alien movie is a two-hour survival story, and a television show has to be an ongoing series," Hawley added. "You have to use the monsters in a different way. You certainly want to use them in the classic way, but you also have to figure out how to sustain having monsters in your show when the reality is they would kill everyone, or that you would kill them, and then that would be it."

We are having an incredible year on streaming, with shows like Andor season 2 and hugely popular movies like KPop Demon Hunters leaving their mark. There is still a lot more to enjoy this year, however, as there are plenty of upcoming movies and some of the best shows arriving on streaming soon, including our picks for the week. New TV shows

Task (HBO Max)

If you loved Kate Winslet's excellent detective show Mare of Easttown, its creator Brad Ingelsby has a new HBO Max show that will hook you from the first episode. Starring Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo, Task is a detective show with lots of violence, but also emotional drama.

Ruffalo plays FBI agent Tom Brandis, who is reluctantly leading a task force to investigate a series of home invasions in the suburbs of Philadelphia, and hunt down the culprits. Still recovering from a personal tragedy, the hero finds himself in a cat-and-mouse game with the leader of a violent biker gang, Robbie (played by Tom Pelphrey), who is living a double life as a family man.

Foundation season 3 finale (Apple TV Plus)

One of today's best sci-fi shows, Foundation just wrapped up another season on Apple TV Plus this week, so now is the perfect time to binge-watch all the episodes. Starring Lee Pace and Jared Harris, this adaptation of Isaac Asimov's classic stories is one of the most ambitious shows on television.

Season 3 is set around 150 years after the previous season, with brothers Hari Seldon (Harris) and Brother Day (Pace) returning to deal with a big problem – The Mule (played by Game of Thrones star Pilou Asbæk), a pirate with terrifying telepathic abilities who poses an evil threat for the Foundation and Empire.

Only Murders in the Building season 5 premiere (Hulu)

There's a new murder in the Arconia! Who would have thought? Luckily for the residents, fan-favorite podcaster trio Charles-Haden Savage (Steve Martin), Oliver Putnam (Martin Short) and Mabel Mora (Selena Gomez) are back to solve the mystery and catch the murderer. Season 5 of the beloved show has premiered this week on Hulu, and we can't wait to sink our teeth into the new episodes.

Season 5 will investigate the death of the Arconia doorman, Lester (played by Teddy Coluca), who was killed in season 4's finale episode. Lester was left dead in the fountain, the same spot where his wedding took place long ago, and the same spot where Oliver and Loretta (Meryl Streep) said 'I do' last season.

Tempest (Disney Plus)

Looking for something epic? Disney Plus just released a new South Korean spy series packed with plot twists, action, and high-stakes romance. Starring Jun Ji-hyun and Gang Dong-won, Tempest is a nine-episode thriller you should have on your radar.

Per the official synopsis, "When an assassination attempt is made on a presidential candidate, former diplomat Seo Munju will dig into his past, uncovering a multinational conspiracy involving rogue nations, security agencies, and classified intelligence that threatens the stability of the Korean peninsula. With her life constantly in danger, a mysterious mercenary called Paik Sanho will step up to keep her safe, but with little known about him, can Munju really trust him?"

Novocaine (Prime Video)

If you're looking for the best action movies to watch this weekend, Prime Video just added one of 2025's most unhinged titles. Starring The Boys' actor Jack Quaid and Prey star Amber Midthunder, Novocaine has a very original premise, and it feels exactly like getting an adrenaline shot.

The story follows Nathan Caine (Quaid), a man who is unable to feel any pain. Literally. When his girlfriend (Midthunder) gets kidnapped by some criminals, Caine uses his unusual power to get her back, as he has no problem getting beaten over and over again by her captors in the process.

The Wrong Paris (Netflix)

Feeling cheesy this weekend? Former teen idol Miranda Cosgrove stars in Netflix's new film The Wrong Paris, and it has everything you're hoping for in a silly rom-com – a ridiculously fun premise, a handsome romantic interest, and a predictable-yet-enjoyable plot.

Per the official logline, "A young woman joins a dating show thinking it's in Paris, France, but it's actually in Paris, Texas. She plots a way to get eliminated until her unexpected feelings for the bachelor (played by Pierson Fodé) complicate her plans."

2025 was already a stacked year for true crime dramas from Netflix's Monster: The Ed Gein Story to Peacock's Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy. But now Hulu has added another series to the list, Murdaugh: Death in the Family, and its first trailer is rather creepy.

In the new clip, we meet a powerful and deeply connected Southern American family who begin to unravel when one of their own is killed on their property. The rest of the trailer shows that the family was already corrupted before the murders happened. But their secrets will soon be unveiled as an ambitious journalist is hot on their tails. As per the official synopsis from Hulu, Murdaugh: Death in the Family follows Maggie and Alex Murdaugh, part of one of South Carolina's most powerful legal dynasties "But when their son Paul is involved in a deadly boat crash, the family is faced with a test unlike any they've ever encountered. As details come to light and new challenges emerge, the family's connections to several mysterious deaths raise questions which threaten everything Maggie and Alex hold dear."

The limited series is inspired by the Murdaugh Murders Podcast by Mandy Matney. The long-running podcast discusses the criminal investigations surrounding the 2021 double homicide of Paul and Maggie Murdaugh, which brought up insurance fraud, drugs, and murder, and other crimes surrounding the family.

This is not the first time the Mardaugh murders have seen screentime. In 2023, Netflix released a six-part documentary series titled Murdaugh Murders: A Southern Scandal, which further exposed the horrifying secrets surrounding the Murdaugh family.

The series stars Patricia Arquette as Maggie Murdaugh, Jason Clarke as Alex Murdaugh, Johnny Berchtold as Paul Murdaugh, and Brittany Snow as the journalist and podcaster Mandy Matney. This is not the first time that Severance star Arquette has been a part of a true crime retelling, as the star played Gypsy-Rose Blanchard's mother Dee Dee in Hulu's 2019 series The Act.
