If you've ever been tempted to grab a 3D printer for making all sorts of goodies from replicas to wargaming terrain but didn't know where to start, I've got good news. A handful of the best beginner machines I've ever tested just got a massive price cut, bringing them crashing down to record low prices as a result of this week's Prime Day event.

3D printer deals aren't unusual during sales season, but I'm not used to such massive discounts at Amazon itself; normally, the manufacturers offer superior savings. Not this time, though; this time, Amazon's beating the competition soundly on top-tier machines. First up is the Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2, currently $399.99 at Amazon instead of $500. That's a drop of $100 on what is comfortably my favorite starter printer, and an all-time low. Next is the Anycubic Kobra X, which is an impressive 35% cheaper than normal - it's currently $299.99 at Amazon rather than $460. I'd say this is on par with the Centauri Carbon 2 in terms of print quality, so that's also a very tempting offer. Finally, we have the original Centauri Carbon. This is also going cheap with a record low price of $299.98 at Amazon. It's very similar to its successor but doesn't have the multi-color functionality out of the box (or a couple of bonus features), so is perhaps a good place to start if you don't want all the extra bells and whistles.

So, which one should you get? While I do have a favorite (we'll get to that in a moment), I think there are advantages to all the above. Want a smaller, more compact machine? While its footprint is similar to both Centauri Carbons, the Anycubic Kobra X doesn't have an enclosure so doesn't feel as bulky. Plus, its filaments are stored above - meaning they don't just out to the side as with the Centauri Carbon 2. However, that enclosure makes the latter quieter... and the addition of rubber shock-absorbing feet mean it shouldn't rattle as much on a surface when in use.

This multi-color functionality and those extras set the Carbon 2 apart from its predecessor (which is still very good, by the way). As a result, I'd say the original Carbon is great for the budget-conscious or those who don't need multi-color printing out of the box. It's quality is still way up there, so it's all about whether you're happy to sacrifice those improvements for the time being (you can buy a multicolor attachment and shock-absorbent feet for the original Carbon separately).

Personally, my favorite overall is the Centauri Carbon 2. I think both this and the Kobra X are just as good as each other in terms of actual print-quality, and they both make great use of multi-color printing. But being able to shut it all away, and the addition of noise-reducing elements like the feet, mean it's a more practical choice in a family home or with housemates.

If there were two mainstays in my childhood toybox, they were Star Wars and Lego. In fact, the two combined so often that a non-trivial number of tiny lightsaber pieces are still rattling around my collection. The trouble with a wargame as massive as Warhammer 40K is finding a way in. The rules can be labyrinthine, there are so many factions to choose from, and it's often difficult to find a starter set with everything you need; they're often . That all changes with a new edition, though.

Warhammer 40K 11th Edition has just gone live, and it's the best jumping-on point we've had for the hobby in years. Unlike the best board games, Warhammer 40K is constantly changing; its rules are eternally being refined and built upon, resulting in a knot of mechanics. When a new version of the game drops, though, there's an emphasis on making things more streamlined and sanding off any rough edges. Each edition traditionally arrives with a launch box as well, providing the most comprehensive entry point to the hobby while stocks last. Armageddon is the latest one, and I'm still impressed at the value of this thing.

In terms of what's inside, two massive armies are included (Space Marines and Orks) alongside the full core rulebook, a lore primer for catching up on what's what in the Warhammer 40,000 universe, and a host of cards used to run both missions and campaigns. Yes, you can guarantee that official starter sets will follow at some point soon. But those won't include many of the items featured above.

I've been hands-on with Armageddon myself, and it's Christmas come early for fans. For starters, those miniatures are incredible. While the Orks steal the spotlight in almost every regard (they're endearingly scrappy, if not outright weird at times), there are incredible models on both sides.

In addition, I've been impressed with how refined and easy to use the core rulebook is. Besides giving a lot of thought to how readable it is, it's trimmed away all the backstory that traditionally gets packaged with these books - and it's much more practical as a result. Not having to cart around a several-hundred-page tome to matches is a relief.

Having those game and campaign cards in the box is useful too. These are sure to coset a pretty penny separately.

Actually, that's true of the entire Warhammer 40K Armageddon box set; we don't know how much this will all cost individually yet, but it's always a lot more than launch boxes like this wind up being. In other words, you're saving a lot here... especially with that discount.

One of our favorite tabletop strategy games here at GamesRadar+ is Everdell, and it's currently hit its lowest price in a year over at Amazon. More precisely, it's $38.91 rather than $70ish - AKA a 35% drop in total.

Part of the reason we love this game so much is its best-in-class worker placement mechanics. It also opts for cozy competition over hard tactics, which makes it a much more chilled out experience on the whole - but still absolutely gripping.

It's been a year since the Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller landed on the shelves but we're still yet to see much deviation from that lofty $89 MSRP. I'm not surprised. It took years for the original Switch's gamepad to depart from its launch rate - this is Nintendo hardware we're talking about, price cuts are few and far between.

Sure, you've got your Joy-Con in the box, but those looking for a more traditional gamepad feel, away from the tall, skinny feel of the side-mounted controllers, are looking at a hefty bill for Ninty's best Switch 2 controller. Thankfully, third parties exist.

While GameSir and 8Bitdo have their own alternatives to contend with, the PowerA Advantage Wired Controller can't be beaten in the numbers department this week. As part of its early Prime Day Nintendo Switch deals, Amazon has this chunkier controller available for just $17.99 (was $39.99).

I tested this wired, cheap and cheerful, gamepad directly alongside the Switch 2 Pro Controller. I won't lie to you, the difference is immediately obvious. While the official model has a solid heft in the hands, this is a lighter, more hollow device. The soft landing and snap of the original's thumbsticks can't be matched by these larger, louder clacks. I mean, the navigation buttons have even been bumped down to the bottom of the controller.

But this isn't a luxury controller, and it's not priced as such. While I'm often hesitant to recommend it at full price (there are $40 gamepads that will take you a lot further), the value at $17.99 is indeed incredibly fair.

If you've got the budget and you want the best experience possible, Ninty's official device is still your best bet. Its controls feel smoother and lighter, its chassis offers up a greater level of luxury, and its extra features pack all the versatility of the console itself.

However, for the price, anyone just looking for a more convenient controller shape or a few extra sets of Mario Kart buttons will still be well served by the budget brands. After testing both, and tracking these prices, I'd say you're dropping about 60% of the features of the Pro 2 Controller, while spending 79% less than its MSRP. That's on the right side of value.

As you might be able to tell from the title of this site, we love gaming Lego sets. Whether it's Fortnite display pieces, Super Mario models, or Minecraft playsets, they celebrate the things we love best about these franchises and let us keep a snippet of that nostalgia on our shelf. When it comes to screens of any kind, it's pretty obvious that bigger is better. We've already been keeping an eye on some excellent gaming-ready TVs, and as the long-time proud owner of a delightful 34-inch gaming monitor for my PC, if I were in the market for a TV this Prime Day, I already know exactly what I'd be going for.

Hisense seems to be leading the charge with the best deals, with a pair of excellent 65-inch TVs that will give you a few options at a similar price point. First up is the U6 Pro Series; QLED, 144Hz, and Motion Rate 480 mean it's a solid option for gaming, while 4K, Dolby Vision IQ, and a Glare-Free surface mean it's excellent for movie night - or even movie day.

Alternatively, there's the E7 Cinema Series. It's pushing its TV specs harder than its gaming specs, but you're still getting the crucial 144Hz refresh rate, so this will definitely double up well. Crucially, it comes in a little cheaper - $600 rather than the $700 price tag attached to the U6 above.

Helpfully, both of these do come with scaling size options - I'd be opting for the 65-inch display due to a combination of price point and the amount of space in my house, but the E7 ranges in size from 50 inches at the bottom end all the way up to 100 inches if you've got $1,700 to drop.

Finally, however, I've got a slightly different option - if I had a little less cash to spend, I'd be looking closely at this Insignia F50. Still a 4K Smart TV with Alexa voice remote, its 60Hz refresh rate should still do you just fine for most console games, and the really good news is that it's substantially cheaper than the Hisense options (in fact, you could pick up an 85-inch version for less than either of the TVs I mentioned above).

Prime Day's PS5 game sales continue, and the discounts include some of my favorite games on the console. That includes quite a few big titles from 2025, which I'm surprised to see discounted as heavily as they have been.

With so much to wade through on Amazon, I thought I'd give your shopping a personal touch and recommend some PS5 games I've personally played and had a lot of fun with. As Features Editor at GamesRadar+, a big part of my job is staying up-to-date with new games as they launch - which means I've got the experience (see: great taste) to steer you right this Prime Day.

Still, in 2026, there's no getting around that the best controllers are extremely expensive. It's not like the classic days where you could chew through third-party hardware. Now, most of those are pro or premium controllers that enhance play beyond the standard setup. Which to choose? Well, I'm already loving this Scuf Valor Pro controller that lives on my desk, ready for play at any moment, and it's at its cheapest price yet this Prime Day – so it certainly gets my recommendation!

Is it the best Xbox Series X controller ever? Not completely. But it's a sweet spot for me in being packed with features, easy to use, versatile, and with a hardy build – all at a good price point. I game so much, and am generally such a mess, that I need controllers that can keep up and won't break the bank if they need to be replaced. The Scuf Valor Pro hasn't let me down yet.

While I love other controllers too, like the Switch Pro controller or the DualSense Edge, I've ended up getting a lot more use out of the Scuf Valor Pro lately. I've been gaming on PC a lot over the last couple of years, which makes this pad's XInput appealing. While it's true that those other pads work on PC, the native support across apps with the Scuf Valor Pro means I don't have to jump through any hoops, especially when it comes to capture.

This is an Xbox controller at heart. That means on my Windows 11 gaming PC, I can just press the game capture button as I would on Xbox to save a screenshot (or hold it down for video clips).

With four back buttons built directly into the controller itself, and a button that cycles between pre-sets, there's customization here that means I can swap between squeezes for progressing through RPG text boxes or jumping in platformers easily. While some may prefer more modularity in controllers, at this price range, it's hard to complain, and I personally like how it helps the Scuf Valor Pro feel like a solid unit in and of itself. Nothing to shake loose here.

Plus, I just like the way this controller feels. I usually keep it wired up on my desk for simplicity's sake, and keep it perched on the edge. Several knocks have occurred, and it's survived some falls, all while still feeling great in the hands. I've used a lot of pads in my time. Perhaps at some point I will move on to something else. But, for now, this controller has been by my side through hundreds of hours of gaming. Why not yours, too?

I wish I waited for this PDP Riffmaster guitar controller deal, but at least you can

If you love a bit of Fortnite Festival as it reminds you of the glory days of Guitar Hero, the PDP Riffmaster controller will heighten that sense of nostalgia in the best possible way. This nostalgia sadly comes at a lofty cost of $149.99 on a typical day, but Prime Day has come to the rescue.

It's now dropped to a record low of $79.99 today, which is a deal I wish I had waited for back when I first picked up my own Riffmaster. I was so desperate to relive my childhood days spent cooped up indoors playing Franz Ferdinand's 'Take Me Out' that I paid full price. Razer's Kraken Kitty Kitty V2 USB headset is part of Prime Day, but you're better off with the V3 Pro

While browsing through the best PS5 headset Prime Day deals today, I spotted that Razer's adorable Kraken Kitty USB wired headset was down to $47.48 (Amazon) this week.

It's not a bad deal, especially considering the pair is equipped with Razer's iconic 40mm Triforce audio drivers, but it's not compatible with the PS5. This wired headset doesn't use a 3.5mm headphone connection, and so you can't pop it into the headphone jack of the DualSense controller.

If you want a cat-ear headset that is PS5 compatible, you're far better off sticking with the Razer Kraken Kitty V3 Pro, which is $169 at Amazon instead. It comes with a 2.4GHz wireless dongle, so you've got PS5 support right out of the box. Sadly, the white version I reviewed (and that you can see above) is not included in the sales, but you can grab the pink and black versions, which are equally cute and also include those customizable RGB cat ears (and PS5 support).

If there are a few items that you have been keeping a watchful eye on but aren't ready to take the plunge and buy right now for one reason or another, get them added to an Amazon wish list.

I use wish lists all the time to not just show friends and family what I want for the holidays, but to keep track of any discounts on any games and accessories I'm itching to buy. For example, right now I've got Ys X Proud Nordics Deluxe Edition sitting in one, and I'm eagerly waiting for the day Amazon will let me know that it's been marked down in price.

There aren't any PS5 Pro Prime Day deals, but that's just what I expected

I've been in the market for a PS5 Pro for a while now, namely as my chonky launch model console feels like it's about to give up the ghost. But I wasn't holding out hope to see any Pro deals this week.

Why? As the pixel-pushing beast received a price increase as recently as April 2, 2026, earlier this year. It was $749.99, and now it's $899.99, a price that I simply can't budget for.

Right now, despite the Prime Day savings, the console is still sitting at $899 (Amazon) today, a price that I simply don't feel comfortable buying myself or recommending to anyone, even those who have yet to get any PS5 to call their own.

Its new loft MSRP is not likely to change any time soon. And if the prices of the Steam Machine are any indication, I have a feeling the PS6 Pro is going to be even more eye-watering when it comes into existence.

This wireless headset makes your head literally shake with excitement, and it's $120 off this Prime Day

The Skullcandy Crusher PLYR 720 wireless gaming headset is one of those pairs of cups I've reviewed that's garnered a "woah" reaction from friends and family, and for good reason.

It includes additional bass drivers in each cup that make it shake alongside the bass frequencies of your favorite games. During testing, I used the pair to play Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth, and it made fights even more exhilarating as the excitement was literally coursing through my body. Ichiban would be proud.

The headset also sounds incredible, and it's down to just $149.99 off today. There's a PlayStation and an Xbox model available, but if you want to save the most cash, I recommend sticking to the Xbox version. It works fine with the PS5 (trust me, that's the one I tested), and you're saving an extra $30 off by grabbing it. Sure, you have to add an Xbox-green accessory to your setup, but who cares when that's $30 you could put towards more PS5 deals this week?

This official Astro Bot controller holder is not on sale this week, but it's worth grabbing anyway

Cableguys is a brand that has a range of little statues based on a ton of iconic characters that can hold your controller, and I'm obsessed with their Astro Bot version.

As you can see from the image above, I use it to hold my Seagate Astro Bot hard drive or my Astro Bot controller, as it feels super fitting. But regardless of what I put in his little robot hands, it looks absolutely adorable sitting in front of my PS5 at all times.

Begrudgingly, it's not part of this week's Prime Day deals, but if you're an Astro Bot fan, I'd even recommend it at its full $29.99 price. You can use it to hold not just your PS5 pad, but your phone, or even an Xbox controller if you're feeling rebellious.

Resident Evil Requiem has dropped to a tasty record low if you're itching for some classic survival horror

Resident Evil Requiem is a fantastic addition to the franchise, but it was pretty pricey at launch. I'm not surprised if even the most die-hard of Resi fans have been waiting for it to get a little cheaper, and today is definitely that day.

Instead of an eye-watering $69.99, it's now a more reasonable $55.99, a new record low for the standard PS5 physical version of the game.

If you are going to finally grab the game, just be sure not to play the opening Grace segment with all the lights off. I made that mistake, and it kept me up all night and had me looking like a sleep-deprived zombie for the next few days. That's not the kind of zombie experience you want with Resident Evil, trust me.

If you've ever wanted a neon DualSense controller light on your wall, do I have the deal for you

This is a bit of a cheeky deal to bring to your attention.

It's not a DualSense controller that you can use to play your favorite PS5 games, but an officially licensed neon light of one by Paladone. Regardless, it's a really neat thing to add to any PS5 gaming setup, and I'm even contemplating hunting down where I get my hands on one in the UK to do just that.

I have plenty Paladone products in my home, and the brand's quality never misses. But I'd sooner have this adorable PS5 pad on my wall that shows little bots from Astro Bot hanging out on the touch pad instead. If you want to show off your Astro Bot love this week, it's down to just $21.49 today, 20% its full $26.99 MSRP.

I wish there were PS5 DualSense deals this Prime Day, as all of my controllers have seen better days

My DualSense controllers are all showing their age, and I'm desperate to pick up a replacement.

Sadly, Prime Day is pretty barren with any deals on an official alternative, which is super disappointing. Only the DualSense carries Sony's haptic tech, which is one of the reasons why I adore the current-gen console as much as I do.

At least there are some PS5 controller deals to be found, like the Razer Raiju V3 Pro Wireless Esports Controller, which is down to $136.80 (Amazon) and is officially licensed for the console. It even comes with a protective carry case to help keep it protected and safe between uses, something that'd likely make it last longer than my other pads. It's naturally missing the haptic tech, but if you're also looking for a DualSense replacement, it's worth checking out this week while its Prime Day savings last.

Newegg's PlayStation Gift Card deal is back, and it could help with your upcoming GTA 6 pre-order

This is another not-technically-not-a-Prime-Day-deal, but it's definitely worth bringing to your attention, as you can grab a $100 PlayStation Gift Card to top up your account for just $88. (So long as you're based in the US.)

If you had your heart set on grabbing that GTA 6 Ultimate Edition pre-order tomorrow, this is going to help with that, as you'd essentially be saving $12 off its $99.99 MSRP. Well, so long as that collector's edition can be ordered through the PlayStation store.

You will need a coupon to get your $12 off (Newegg), but once you order your gift card, you'll be emailed a code to redeem on your console, and that $100 worth of digital funds will be yours.

Silent Hill f has dropped to $29.83 at Amazon today, a new record-low for the Amazon Exclusive Day One Edition that sports some of the most gorgeous box art I've seen on any PS5 game to date. But if you do grab today's deal, please be warned that scarecrows will be ruined for you, forever.

Growing up, I loved scarecrows as I was a big fan of the 1939 MGM Wizard of Oz movie. Now, looking at them fills me with chills and the fear that they'll lunge toward me with a sickle in hand. If you have no idea what I'm talking about, you will once you play through Silent Hill f.

PS5 SSD deals are not a thing this Prime Day, but some extra storage will help with that upcoming GTA 6 install

If I'm allowed to put my tinfoil hat on for a moment - I wonder if one of the reasons behind Rockstar's decision not to provide discs with the physical PS5 copies of GTA 6 is because the game is simply too big.

If that's the case, you should prepare for the hefty install size to come with a PS5 SSD, if you haven't got one already. I currently have a 4TB SSD similar to this Lexar 4TB NM790 drive available for $559.99 at Amazon in my own PS5, so I should be okay once GTA 6 drops on November 19, later this year.

Sadly, there isn't a Prime Day saving to be found on this SSD, or any others, really. The ongoing effects of the RAM Storage Crisis mean drives are as pricey as ever. However, this SSD was as high as $719 in March earlier this year, according to our handy CamelCamelCamel price checker, so it its price could be a lot worse.

Not picking up the Life is Strange Collection will have consequences, the consequence of missing out on a great Prime Day deal

Life is Strange is one of my favorite game series of all time, namely as I love media with timey wimey plots and top-tier game soundtracks, of which the series has plenty of.

Square Enix recently popped the franchise into one collection, which is currently on sale right now for $39.99 at Amazon, a saving of $20 off its full $59.99 price. It is missing the latest entry to the franchise, Life is Strange Reunion. However, you can always pick it up afterwards if this collection manages to turn you into a die-hard Life is Strange fan. I'm playing Marvel Rivals again, and these discounted PS5 thumbsticks helped me secure my MVP status

Earlier today, I wrote a little about KontrolFreek's PS5 thumbsticks and the fact that I have a pair on every single one of my DualSense controllers. However, if I were to pick my favorite from the lot, it'd be these Strawberry Sage Edition versions.

I adore the bright pastel coloring of these thumbsticks, as they help lighten up my otherwise dreary old PS5 gamepads. But it's not just their gorgeous color palette, which is why I hold them in such high regard. It's actually down to how comfortable and grippy they make my pad's sticks.

These thumbsticks have a slightly sticky texture, which helps make gripping a lot easier, even during the sweatiest and most heated of Marvel Rival matches. With these, I've been able to get my first MVP in ages as Jeff the Land Shark in Blood Hunt mode, which is a nice change after being away from the game for so long.

The only issue with these grips is that the textured surface is prone to catching dust and debris, so they do need cleaning on a regular basis. But otherwise, these are a great addition to any PS5 pad, especially when they're under $10 for Prime Day.

If you're looking for some Pokemon Prime Day deals then don't worry, I've spent probably too long looking for Pikachu and pals in Amazon's digital shopping aisles to find you exciting savings on all things Pokemon. That includes some of the best Nintendo Switch 2 accessories too, along with fun merch, TCG sets and binders, and more.

No doubt more Pokemon Prime Day deals will drop as the next few days go on, but for now these are the best savings I've found that I'd recommend for a fellow Poke Pal. It's just a shame that there are no discounts yet on Pokopia, or even Pokemon Scarlet and Violet to recommend for some gaming fun this summer ahead of whatever Pokemon Winds and Waves brings us in 2027.

With GTA 6 only a few months away, it's time to start making sure your gaming set-up is up to snuff. Sure, you've already got a console — I hope —but there are a few other pieces of kit which will help you enjoy the game to its fullest extent.

Usually, upgrading your gaming set-up could cost quite a bit, but it's Prime Day currently, which means you can pick up the right items at a discounted price. We're seeing TVs, projectors, soundbars, controllers, headsets and speakers all reduced, and so if you've been planning a system glow-up before Grand Theft Auto comes out, there won't be a time like now.

Finding a way to represent Leonida visually will be incredibly important for enjoying GTA 6. If you're squinting to see what's going on, you won't be doing justice to this visually-impressive game... and you might find it hard to actually appreciate the gameplay itself.

TVs are usually the go-to option for gaming, but spare a thought for the best gaming projector too. They can often let you view on a much bigger area than a TV, and they have some added versatility so you can move rooms or walls.

One of the most underrated upgrades a gaming set-up can enjoy is in the audio department. There's nothing worse than relying on tinny audio coming from your TV, or having to connect your AirPods if you need to play quietly.

Soundbars and eARC speakers are great for room-filling sound, to create an immersive experience. But headsets can often offer a similar effect, by putting the drivers nearer your ears. If you don't mind wearing them for your long gaming sessions, they'll be much more space-efficient, and have built-in mics for when you enjoy the online component.

Getting a good controller is less of an 'upgrade', given that GTA 6 isn't a competitive online game, but some premium (and not-quite-premium) controllers offer a more refined experience. Haptic buttons, hall triggers and customizable face buttons can all offer a more enjoyable gaming experience than whatever came included in your console.

The official install size for GTA 6 hasn't been confirmed, but most people are expecting it to require at least 200GB, and possibly a lot more than that.

If your console is already filling up, you've got two options. Either try and free up space by deleting games, making some tricky decisions about what you're happy not playing for a while... or getting a storage expansion.

Both of the above picks will hold GTA 6 with ease. No, they're not cheap, but that's modern memory for you, and at least they're below their current MSRPs.

The Sonic the Hedgehog 35th Anniversary has landed, as it's been 35 years since the first game launched on June 23 in the US way back in 1991. That means we'd had almost four decades spent on this planet with the blue blur, chilli dogs, cheesy quips, and the iconic Green Hill Zone, whose 16-bit music still remains in my head rent-free.

I don't want to linger on Sonic's age too much, as that'd mean coming to terms with my own old age. You're probably well aware that Prime Day is underway, and I'm hellbent on finding retro gaming deals that aren't just cheap, nasty NES clones, crummy handhelds, or systems with horrendous price hikes. There are absolutely discounts out there, and since I spend most of my earthly hours checking out classic systems and modern ways to play, I'm well equipped to pick out the real offers.

Prime Day isn't the only thing happening today, though; Sonic the Hedgehog's 35th Anniversary is also underway! As a gift to the blue blur, I've already made him a special homage that shows off my original Sega Genesis setup, so make sure to check that out while I present you with decent retro deals as they happen.

The timing of this specific Prime Day deal is impeccable, as the 8Bitdo M30 is the specific retro controller I use to "get gud" at Sonic 2. It's currently under $30 thanks to a 20% discount, which feels like a fitting gift for Mr Needlemouse's big day. I should point out, though, that this is the Bluetooth version, so you'll want to grab a retro receiver to pair with an actual Sega Genesis. If you're new to playing classic games on actual hardware, and you've been wondering how to connect retro consoles to new TVs and monitors, this gadget will kickstart your journey, and if your old system of choice supports RGB scart cables, you'll be able to hook straight up to your screen.

The Super Pocket is neat, but finding the Neo Geo version for under $50 is neater

I've tested all the best retro handhelds around, and the Super Pocket sits pretty at the top of my list. I mean, it's a portable that uses physical cartridges in 2026 and costs less than most Switch games, and there's now even a Rare Edition that can run Banjo-Kazooie. If you're more into classic arcade fighters, like King of Fighters and Fatal Fury, I've just found the perfect version for you, as the Neo Geo flavor is under $50 thanks to Prime Day.

It's the same great handheld that runs Evercade carts, but the Neo Geo Super Pocket specifically pays homage to SNK's legendary library of fighters and shooters like Metal Slug. Even if you're not fussed about the classic black and gold getup and built-in game collection, this variant is cheaper than all the rest right now, and that in itself is a reason to snatch it up.

I feel like discounting systems like the Atari 2600+ is a no-brainer, but Prime Day hasn't gotten around to price cuts yet. The only offer I'm seeing is on the Pac-Man version, but it'll still set you back more than the base system. Unless you're really into the limited edition yellow variant, or fear it'll go out of stock and then subsequently up in price, I'd hold off to see what the week ahead has planned.

The Retron GX isn't the perfect PC Engine remake, but it'll kick start a new console collection for under $50

I'd be lying if I said the Hyperkin Retro GX is a flawless HDMI version of the PC Engine/Turbografx-16. The issue is that back when I initially tested the retro console, its physical cartridge compatibility was spotty, but now that it's under $50, I reckon it's easier to look past any teething issues it has with select games. Ultimately, you're still getting a box that'll play a bunch of vintage games without faffing with any ROMs, and it comes with a remake of NEC's controller. It'll at least get you started before investing in the real deal or splashing out on the Analogue Duo, as both are pricey in 2026.

I was worried when my go-to Game Boy controller leaped up in price, but Prime Day has saved the day

For a hot moment, I thought the GameSir Pocket Taco wasn't playing ball this Prime Day. Earlier today, the mobile Game Boy controller lost its on-page coupon, then leaped back up to $35 just in time for the sale. I figured that meant it was sitting this one out, but it's now down to an even lower $27.99, which just so happens to be its lowest price yet. While this gamepad's main objective is adding physical buttons to your phone, its Bluetooth abilities mean it also serves as a nice, authentic-feeling pad for playing on consoles, or even a docked Analogue Pocket, too.

If you're planning on grabbing a Bluetooth retro controller over Prime for your old consoles, you'll need some sort of adapter. 8Bitdo has made a dongle for virtually every system out there, and the subscriber sale has slashed the price of most of the brand's wireless gizmos.
