If anyone was going to produce the exception that proves the rule, it was always going to be director Ridley Scott. Always a fastidious stylist, in Blade Runner he gives us Rachel (Sean Young), a radiant vision at once so utterly ’80s and somehow yet so utterly tasteful as well. How is that possible?
