To celebrate the DVD and Blu-ray release of ‘80s influenced thriller Cold In July , we asked Total Film readers to send in their own designs for a VHS version of the film.
There were some brilliant entries, and director Jim Mickle pored over them to pick the overall winner.
Congratulations to David Cottam, who was selected as the winner, and well done to all the entrants who took part (check out the hall of fame for the best entries below).
This is what Jim Mickle had to say about choosing a winner: “This was a tough decision – it was really fun to see all of the entries but my favourite is the one submitted by David Cottam, which has a huge silhouette of Michael C. Hall running from the train. I thought his design incorporated good old fashioned ‘80s simplicity, which is the reason why I selected him as the winner.”
David takes home a limited edition VHS-themed Cold In July steelbook (above) for his troubles.
Check out David’s entry, and the runners up, below.
Cold In July is out now on DVD, Blu-ray and On Demand.
