ATM plot details revealed

Chris Sparling is a name few had heard before a certain film called Buried premiered at this year’s Sundance Film Festival.

Well, Buried (below) garnered hugely positive reviews and a massive studio bidding war for the film’s distribution rights. All because Sparling knew how to put a decent, micro-budget movie script together.

What’s next for the writer? A few weeks ago it was reported that he would be working on a new screenplay called ATM , but no details were available.

Now, a few plot sketches have been leaked to /Film , who hear that the film is “ Phone Booth meets Frozen ”.

The plot follows three co-workers who stop off at an ATM on the way home from a Christmas party. From there, “the rest of the story is set primarily in the ATM vestibule, and never leaves the supermarket parking lot”.

Seems that they’re trapped by a menacing man in a hooded parka, with no way of escape.

Short film director David Brooks is making his feature debut directing ATM . No casting news yet, but after the Buried buzz expect any number of indie-loving actors to make themselves available.
