50 Most Unintentionally Hilarious Movies Of All Time

Shock 'Em Dead (1991)

The Hilarious Movie: A no-mark loser makes a pact with the devil and is transformed into Angel, a poodle-rock megastar. However, in exchange for his newfound fame, he must do Satan's bidding on a regular basis. Porn star Traci Lords is charged with putting a stop to his hard-rocking misdeeds.

Funniest Moment: "You may think you're involved with someone else," says Angel, calmly, his massive hair trembling with emotion, "but nobody's gonna love you as hard as I can."

Abby (1974)

The Hilarious Movie: Blaxploitation meets cheeseball horror in this risible '70s schlocker about a mild-mannered young woman who becomes possessed by a demon, and starts acting out in all manner of Godless ways…

Funniest Moment:
Every time Abby starts speaking in the voice of the demon, who sounds like a cross between Beelzebub and Isaac Hayes.

Basket Case (1982)

The Hilarious Movie: This one takes the age-old set-up of siamese twin who is forced to carry his murderous, telepathic, disembodied head-thing of a brother around in a wicker case for the rest of his days, and boy does it run with it! It can't be accused of lacking for imagination…

Funniest Moment: As a pair of cuties get down to it in a nearby hotel room, the basket-bound brother loses his shit in spectacular style. Quite the pair of lungs on him, as it turns out!

Night Of The Lepus (1972)

The Hilarious Movie: What's more terrifying than a giant man-eating mutant? A giant man-eating mutant bunny rabbit, that's what! Seriously, we've never seen a less-threatening plague of hell-beasts in all our long days. Rabbits can sometimes be scary ( Watership Down , anyone?), but not this lot.

Funniest Moment: Janet Leigh arrives back at her cabin to see a man vs. rabbit tussle going on in one of the beds. We're surprised she didn't apologise and make a hasty exit…

The Stuff (1985)

The Hilarious Movie: In the desperate scramble for '80s horror concepts, the makers of The Stuff really plumbed the depths with this tale of an ultra-delicious gloop that turns the hungry diner into a braindead zombie. See the McFlurry for more details.

Funniest Moment: Charlie's face-melt is pretty spectacular, as is the wall of marshmallow that subsequently proceeds to stalk a small boy.

Bloodsport (1988)

The Hilarious Movie: JCVD stars in this wildly popular B-movie about a secret and illicit martial arts tournament. The fighting is predictably excellent, but some of the dialogue has to be heard to be believed. Which is just as it should be, really! Pure gold.

Funniest Moment: The back and forth kickfest between Van Damme and an opponent, in which the Belgian grins, gurns and yells "come on" to mirth-making effect.

Miami Connection (1987)

The Hilarious Movie: Tae Kwon Do practising new-wavers, Dragon Sound, take on a gang of drug-dealing bikers (who also seem to be ninjas) in this profoundly daft crime flick. Every bit as ludicrous as it sounds, and yet played as though it's something from Michael Mann!

Funniest Moment: "There's just one thing you gotta know… they're all black belts in Tae Kwon Do, and they're pretty bad!"

It's Alive (1974)

The Hilarious Movie: A gruesome '70s cheesefest in which a little baby sets about killing people whenever it gets upset. A baby that lives in the storm drains of the city and pops out to wreak havoc whenever the opportunity presents itself? Sign us up!

Funniest Moment: John P. Ryan has a bit of a funny turn as he cranks the grieving parent routine up to eleven. "Don't you touch me," he hams, tremulously. "They took my BABY!"

Undefeatable (1993)

The Hilarious Movie: Cynthia Rothrock stars in this grimly serious action flick, which is resolutely determined to remain po-faced despite its ever more preposterous fight scenes. Slow-motion punching has never been sillier.

Funniest Moment:
The three-way fight scene at the film's climax is truly unforgettable, outrageously camp and contains a supremely greasy mullet. It kicks off with the villain licking blood off a knife and only gets better from there.

Troll 2 (1990)

The Hilarious Movie: The legendary crap-fest, which peculiarly, doesn't feature a single troll in its entire run-time. No, the villains of the piece are a group of vegetarian goblins scheming to transform a family into their favourite variety of plant. That should tell you pretty much all you need to know.

Funniest Moment: "They're eating her," says Darren Ewing with his trademark coma-patient delivery. "And then they're going to eat me! Oh my Goooooooooood!"
