Creepypastacraft
CreepyPasta are short horror stories posted on the internet. Theyve inspired a Minecraft mod that puts some sinister CreepyPasta characters into your world. Fiends include the spindly Rake, and Eyeless Jack, who lives in forests and teleports to sleeping players. Not all of them are evil. Jane the Killer wont attack you, but look out for her evil companion, Jeff, who is a relentless murderer.
Herobrine
Dare you build Herobrines totem and summon Minecrafts most famous demon into your world? This sinister, blank-eyed version of Minecraft Steve will hunt you all over your world, leaving a trail of chaos and destruction in his wake. He likes to hide explosive deathtraps throughout the landscape, and can even summons torrents of lava to keep you on edge.
Lycanites Mobs
This fantastic creature pack adds dozens of beasts designed to add more varied threats to Minecrafts biomes. Burrowing sand snakes hide in the desert, beautiful feathered lizards live in the jungle, and look out for the sinister grue if youre burrowing into dark underground passages. Some creatures can be tamed, if youre careful. Want to risk it?
Hardcore Darkness
This simple but effective mod does naught but add darkness to Minecraft. True darkness, that is. You may not notice the low ambient light that helps you through Minecrafts deepest caves until its gone, so always carry a torch.
Special AI
What if Minecrafts monsters learned to ride other monsters? That is the dilemma you will face should you install the Special AI mod, which gives the games denizens new behaviours to contend with. Enemies will smash light sources and attack with greater vigour, making your normal Minecraft survival experience that much scarier.
The Prison
Brave the gangways of this dark and very haunted old prison at your peril. Thunder, lightning, strange light displays and distracting sounds are only just the beginning in an exploration map that mixes perfectly-pitched jump scares with an unshakable eeriness.
Betweenland
Tar beasts, sporelings, silt crabs and dark druids are just a few of the threats you have to contend with in this strange swampy extra dimension. Look out for some druids guarding a strange altar in the overworld, and defeat them to gain access to Betweenland.
The Halloween Mod
Get into the Halloween spirit bygetting cursed by a witch in this fully-featured ode to Halloween. As well as witches, look out for jumpkins: jumping pumpkins that attack when you get too close. You cancollect candy and craft it into mega-candy to heal up, but mind you dont get too distracted and miss the approach of aninvincible halloween creeper.
The Doll Maker

If you do, you crazy freak, just install the Doll Maker adventure map and enjoy a nice cold sweat asyou investigate the Doll Makers dungeon. Be sure to install the accompanying resource pack to get all the textures and scary sounds. Why would you do this to yourself?
Specimen XX121
A rare science-fiction horror map that strands you on a spaceship after a terrible accident. Everyone is dead, andyoull soon find out why as you move through the metallic corridors. Vents and closets provide good hiding spots, but dontrely too much on the useless spears you find littered around.
