Zombie Halloween party

Horror junkies will be covering themselves in corn syrup and squealing like naughty piglets now that Rob Zombie’s announced the latest additions to the cast of his Halloween remake.

Determined to fill his flick with as many familiar faces as possible, Zombie apparently wants to make gore geeks feel like they’re attending some sort of twisted family reunion when they stumble into US cinemas on 31 August.

Joining ex-wrestler Taylor Mane (The Devil’s Rejects) as Michael Myers, will be Dee Wallace Stone (The Howling, The Hills Have Eyes) as Laurie Strode’s mum, Sheri Moon Zombie (The Devil’s Rejects) as Myers’ mum, Danny Trejo (From Dusk ‘Til Dawn) as a Sanatorium worker and zombie-icon Ken Foree (The Devil's Rejects, Dawn Of The Dead) as an unlucky trucker.

But all most slasher-fans will be concerned with is Myers himself and, most importantly, whether he still looks like Shatner. Fear not, Zombie’s cleared that one up as well...

“It looks perfect,” Zombie said on his official myspace page. “Exactly like the original. Not since 1978 has the shape looked so good. Wayne (Toth) worked this sucker to death and boy did it pay off.”
