First impression â I was admittedly worried after the demo that the graphics in this game would not be up to sniff with the hype from the LucasArts. I am pleased to say the games graphics and general play are superior to the demo. Big load off there for me because I did not see that much of an improvement in the demo to other games and also pleased that the demo is a bit dumbed down for achievements. I really enjoyed the game and LOVED the story. But walked away from the game feeling just like I did after the Republic Commando game, wowed but unfulfilled. That in such a short game you have to revisit some to the worlds to complete missions is a lack of vision on the LucasArts part. The graphics in the areas away from game itself are very simple looking; it reminded me of a 90âÂÂs quality. The game that took a whole year extra to bring out but still froze three times in big action moves and I got stuck two times in scenery. I can now see why Lucas fired two thirds of LucasArts staff before this game came out.
Over all I give the game an 8 out of 10. A must play game but if you are not like me and need a copy for you collection to Star Wars games, RENT IT. If you can not beat this game two times over a weekend then you need a new hobby.
gr8 game for a start wars fan and the plot is unbeatable
but i agree it has sum major flaws and it is way to freking easy to be knocked off a platform!
8/10 from me
I rented this game and its not as bad as Gamesradar says it is. It's not as good as everyone hoped it would be, but it's still a perfectly fine game. The two main complaints about it would have to be the camera and the repetitiveness. But, it all depends on how you play it. If you're one of the people who just play games to say that you've beaten them and blaze through it as fast as you can then it's not for you. But if you're one of the people who like to play video games for fun then it's for you because once you start to get more of the combos then it just keeps getting better and better.
About an 8 or and 8.5
+Great story
+Great combos (if you use them)
-Way too much hype which makes people think it's a bad game
I liked it although the game was too short it was really fun it was cool to pick some dude up then impale him with your sword then throw him to some explosive and watch him yell for help but still its not bad its just short
first loved the story of the game but i was way bummed out when i say that it was only one player and u couldn't go play live with it and my sad ness got even worse after g3 showed the two player on the show but wat ever still one of the best star wars ever. .............. o and how the hell do u get that black crystal
i think u guys should have given it at least a '8' come on its got cool kills using ur imagination anyway u want and its telling you how the rebellion was born and who started it its a pretty big piece of information in the star wars saga and im also a big fan
i think game companies shouldnt tell people about games until the day before they come out or a week before so it would be a surprise and nobody would git all stressed out becuz they want to play it thats how i was about halo 3
The game may be short, but it's incredibly fun. Great game for any Star Wars fan. I beat it on every difficulty and never got bored so I have to disagree with the game being monotenous. It most definately has replay value. It's a real blast, theres tons of combos and plenty of different ways to dispatch of your enemies. The only thing I would have liked to see is the ability to sever limbs, its not like there would be any blood, it's lightsaber, instant coderization. But freezing stormtroopers in carbonite is a pretty decent substitute. And for anyone looking to kick it dark side, you may be dissapointed. The story has it's own design that you really cant tamper with and still have it make sense. You do have a choice at the end, but I wont spoil anything. Overall, if you love Star Wars, check this game out, you'll enjoy it everytime, it's like playing a new Star Wars movie. I personally give it a 9/10, it has it's flaws and glitches, but so does every game. TFU is non-stop fun, exitement, and a great addition to the Star Wars franchise. It's truly a blast to play.
I like how they made something as badass as pulling a star destroyer out of the sky with the force one of the most non fun things i've ever had to do in over 20 years of playing video games.
Actually, if you really take the time to play the game more than just one run-thru, you'll find yourself becoming better at the game and more able to mix up force powers and the lightsaber. Also, you'll upgrade your character, giving you less trouble with whatever lack of energy you had and more health. Of course you probably DIDN'T play it more than once, so you'll be missing a lot. Unfortunately, I have to agree with you on the issue of not enough game time. I only wish there was a bit more to the game.
