I agree. Underground 2 was the best NfS ever.

NFS is rlly screwing up or is it?
i think it's fixing the big mistake it kept repeating for 5 years.

the first NFS title i played was HP2 for gamecube it was fun now i went from most wanted, carbon, prostreet and undercover...honestly despite all the negative attention prostreet has gotten i think it is a great game i also have grid...which from the LOOKS, i think SHIFT is borrowing from it...and the gameplay might actually lean to the style of grid as well...we'll just have to wait and see

I'm not really looking forward to the next NFS game, they've been going down hill since Carbon and I just don't think the dev gets it anymore. Watch the movies, NFSU2 is my fav and I still play it on my 360, (thx for having it backwards compatible!).

IMHO that will be a clone of GRID, but with a little bit better grapics

this looks good, i'm excited i'm a sim racing fan and don't normally like the NFS series. The last attempt by EA at a "serious racing game" was NFS pro street that was an absolute abortion ! but if they rip off the best bits from grid and make it a touch more online sim based they could be on to a right winner !! they will get my cash if its as good as it looks.

I can't deny that it looks good, but I just dont think its a good choice on their part. Considering the first thing i thought of when I saw this was GRID and not NFS they should reconsider thier course on games. In my personal opinion they should stick to storylines like Most Wanted and abilities to tweek your ride like in Underground 2 and then some. And one bit of beef I have with game makers nowdays, were the hell are the old school Civics? First and second gen CRXes are used a lot in Street racing and we never have seen them in a NFS. Ive seen them in Tokyo Extrem games and thats it. Plus, they only had an older Civic hatch in NFS:Prostreet and that game wasnt on the top of anyones "A" list for playability. Just for reference, if anyone from "EA" or anyone else who wants more tips on what gamers want in a racing game, so they can reclame their place as the race game kings then just email me at jojimukumura@yahoo.com and we'll talk.

I started playing the nfs series on the PC with High Stakes, Porsche Unleashed, and Hot Pursuit 2, with PU being my favorite by far. It had just the right mix of realism and authenticity while keeping some of the arcade elements to keep it fun. I've had varying degrees of satisfaction with the games that came after that (didn't really like the fast and furious style shift it took). I hope this one turns out to have that similar blend of realism(which i personally find fun, but hey) and just plain arcade fun that keeps it from being too frustrating.
