WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2010

WWE SmackDown 2010 story creator goes Hollywood

With the right amount of time and effort, wrestling fans can reconstruct movie magic

Words: GamesRadar US

Remember when you were a kid and you’d use your action figures to act out scenes from your favorite movies and TV shows? You’d move them around, imitate the voices as best as possible and have a great time reenacting a scene from Back to the Future or Anne of Green Gables. We decided to recapture that time in our lives (roughly three years ago) by playing with WWE SmackDown vs Raw 2010 and its Story Designer mode.

The mode was originally intended for creating, or even recreating, moments of wrestling drama both in and out of the ring. That’s fun and all, but we wanted to think outside the box a little and use it to remake some scenes from our favorite films and TV. And though the whole process turned out just as fun and easy as pulling out all our nose hairs one by one, we ended up with a few winners we’d like to share now. And while we made these with the 360 edition, feel free to make your own on the Wii, PS3, PS2 or PSP releases.

Those are direct from the game, the same level of quality you’ll get when making them on your own. Obviously, you won't be able to re-create most of the custom effects, backdrops and sound in the two following videos without a little post-production work in a video-editing program, but who knows what SmackDown vs Raw 2011 will be able to do? Let’s watch these together and dream.

At first I though this was about someone getting a film made out of a story they made.

This looks kind of interesting. But from other videos I've seen there seem to be a very limited collection of scenes. It might be enough for a couple hours of fun, but past that I can see it getting stale.

I thought the first one was the "Our names don't mean shit" scene until he hit Marcellus.

Clever, though.
