The Top 7... Nudity You Didn't Notice

Look closer - gaming is even naughtier than you think

Words: Charlie Barratt, GamesRadar US

Some videogame nudity can go completely unnoticed to one person, while standing out like a seedy and sordid beacon to another. It all depends on your perspective, as well as your priorities. GamesRadar's Nintendo Editor, Brett Elston, reminisces:

"A friend of mine was playing, not paying any attention to Medusa's exposed (but nipple-less) breasts. Didn't think anything of it. The stone attacks and flying snakes were of graver concern. Then his mom walks in and freaks out, shouting at the top of her lungs "SHE'S NAAAAAKED!" It was like she caught him watching hardcore porn. And now, that naked Medusa became taboo, and therefore much more desirable to see. Thanks, America - your sexual oppression and censorship are ensuring a healthy interest in free-chested snake women at an early age."

Medusa's mythological boobage is nothing - repeat, nothing - compared to the shocking stuff witnessed on other bosses and baddies back in the day. You may not have recognized exactly what you were seeing then, but you will now. Unfortunately.
