Blue Dragon

The Xbox's first serious JRPG is a winner

Blue Dragon is, ultimately, enjoyable. Its appeal, once started, is undeniable. Yes, it's a turn-based RPG, and it's a wholly traditional one. With generally excellent storytelling and competent voices in English or Japanese, though, it's one you'll enjoy for its dramatic tale. And the system of building up your shadows' powers is also irresistible. But the game does lag in pacing when it comes to exploration and battle; a touch more evolution might have launched this from extremely good to indispensable.

You'll love
  • Engaging story
  • Beautiful visuals
  • Addictive character-building
You'll hate
  • Boring battles
  • Graphical glitches
  • Ridiculous Achievements

i like turn based rpg's, expetianally final fantasy, in fact i could consider final fantasy to be the best games of all time, mainly due to the epic storylines which i love and the interesting characters
-i will admit some final fantasies dulled me with the storyline and characters (final fantasy 12 wasnt very interesting story) oh and final fantasies music is also great, probaly the best music on any games to the point where i can almost cry
