Treyarch ditches the number subtitle and expectedly returns to WWII and the Pacific theatre of war. World at War has extremely brutal gunplay and amazing online multiplayer and co-op modes, but don't expect much new and improved beyond CoD4.

Starting today, March 19, you can download four new maps for Call of Duty: World at War. For 800 Microsoft funbucks (360) or $9.99 tangible dollars (PS3), you can continue the multiplayer mayhem through three rather different maps and one addition to the Nazi Zombie mode. Seriously, no offense to Call of Duty: World at War’s single player. Toiling through the Pacific and Eastern European theater, communicating with Keifer Sutherland and Gary Oldman, face melting flamethrowers that spits face-melting liquid death? We’re not complaining. I liked this game but I still think Modern Warfare is the best.. Only complain I have against WaW is that it takes too long to reload the gun during online gaming.
