Activision has released a selection of new images from their upcoming felony caper, True Crime New York City.

After creating the mean streets of LA for the original True Crime, developer Luxoflux has been busy realising a virtual version of Manhattan, with these latest shots offering a glimpse of main character Marcus Reed - a gang banger turned cop - on the beat in Harlem and Times Square.

Check the shots on the right to admire Luxoflux's handy work and hope that the developer has spent an equal amount of time improving the game play to ensure that, unlike the original, it's more than just an underwhelming GTA imitator.

True Crime New York City will be released for PS2, Xbox and Gamecube in November
