Is it a blue smudge?</title><description>Electronic Arts has unveiled a single supershot of Superman Returns, the superhero action game based on the Man of Steel&#39;s return to the big screen.

The film Superman Returns is being directed by Bryan Singer, who did a superb job of bringing the X-Men to the big screen. The story sees Superman returning from self-imposed exile to find that Lois Lane, the love of his life, has moved on, while old foe Lex Luthor is up to his old Metropolis-threatening tricks.

The shots have Superman attempting to protect Metropolis from the attentions of a skyscraper-tall robot. The lanky mech is Metallo, a giant robot with a Kryptonite heart.

Metallo originally appeared in the Superman comics as the mechanical rebuilt body of crook John Corben.
