Electronic Arts will ship Superman Returns: The Videogame, licensed by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, on November 20. The game, which features storylines from both the Warner Bros. Pictures' film Superman Returns and more than 60 years of DC Comics' content, is being developed by EA's Tiburon Studio in Orlando, Fla., the award-winning studio that develops Madden NFL football, the most popular sports franchise in videogame history. Superman Returns: The Videogame is the ultimate open-world super-hero experience and will be released on the Xbox 360, as well as current generation platforms.

EA has released a trailer and fresh details about its Superman Returns game, which will accompany the summer release of the Warner Bros. film. The trailer has Superman battling the evil Metallo in the streets of Metropolis, which will comprise 80 virtual squares miles of bustling fictional city, including over 1,000 buildings. EA has released two more shots of Superman Returns, the videogame of the forthcoming superhero film which will be out this summer. The shots have Superman attempting to protect Metropolis from the attentions of a skyscraper-tall robot. The lanky mech is Metallo, a giant robot with a Kryptonite heart.
