All these so-called "authentic" war-themed shooters are fine and dandy, but what if your one of those people who thinks the gritty realism of is a bummer? Step forward square-jawed hero, Sam, for a second outing. With a stash of noisy whack-ass weapons and vehicles, a ridiculous plot thats so thin you could stick a miniskirt on it and call it Kate Moss, and little more to do than frag your way through a near endless succession of ludicrously designed but grin-worthy enemies, Sam is the perfect ...
All these so-called 'authentic' war-themed shooters are fine and all that. But when a member of your family has been dodging real bullets and real grenades on the streets of Basra and has seen men in their troop stretchered into the medical tent with limbs missing and faces burnt beyond all recognition, your appetite for shooting virtual Arabs/Vietnamese/Germans/Japanese does tend to disappear a bit. Not that the likes of Brothers in Arms and the Conflict series aren't decent videogames, but in ...
2K Games has released some new screenshots for its upcoming shooting title, Serious Sam II.

The original Serious Sam, while not providing much of a cerebrum workout, was crucially loads of fun thanks to the quick and simple action that gave you an almost never-ending stream of enemies to blast away, while running around like a mad loon.

This frantic pace will continue this time around too, with developer Croteam promising to cram even more enemies on screen at one time.

Following the that we posted at the end of April, publisher 2K Games has just released further images of the long-awaited mentalist shooting sequel.

Serious Sam II continues the storyline of Serious Sam Second Encounter but, let's face it, the significance of the narrative is negligible when you've got 45 new enemy types to dispatch via the medium of relentless first-person arcade shootery.

The game's seven environments house over 40 levels, across which you'll also be able to make use ...
Take 2 imprint 2K Games has just released the first official shots of Serious Sam II, the crazed shooting sequel that's due to hit PC and Xbox later this year.

"Gamers have been anxiously anticipating a full sequel ever since Serious Sam The Second Encounter was released back in 2002," comments 2K bod Christoph Hartmann.
