Xbox - The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning  - Two more on Xbox Originals

Two more ahem, "golden oldies" have appeared on Xbox Live's Xbox Originals service this morning, the first of which is Vivendi's Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning.

As you can probably guess from the title, New Beginning was the first in the Legend trilogy of Spyro games, adding more action-based platforming gameplay and an even more annoying voice over for the purple dragon.

Original Atari founder Nolan Bushnell says he's "thrilled" to be played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film about his life.

The news of DiCaprio's signing came earlier this week, when it was revealed that Paramount Pictures had picked up the project.

Take-Two is planning to take greater steps into the world of networked gaming in a bid to grow its business.

Speaking at the Piper Jaffray conference in New York, chairman Strauss Zelnick told investors that the idea is to "turn packaged goods partially into a subscription business," reports Kotaku.

LucasArts has reaffirmed the company's commitment to its internal studio and has denied rumours that will cease development after The Force Unleashed.

Leonardo DiCaprio is signed up to play Atari-creator Nolan Bushnell in a biopic that the movie star will also produce.

The movie is currently without a director, but it will be written by Brian Hecker and Craig Sherman, according to Variety.

Facenda, a beloved Philadelphia newscaster from 1948-1973, gained national recognition for his voice-over work with NFL Films in the latter part of his career.

Xbox - Madden NFL 07 - GTA Rules NPD All-Time U.S. Top 10 Next-Gen.Biz writes: "The NPD Group has revealed the top 10 selling games of all time in the U.S. market.

Forbes reported earlier this week NPD Group's up-to-date top ten U.S. videogame sales figures by units, revealing a list dominated by the Grand Theft Auto and Madden NFL franchises.

As seen below, GTA: San Andreas from 2004 is the top-selling game in the U.S. with 9.43 million units sold. The franchise shows up on the top 10 three times, while Madden appears four times.

Activision had two 2007 titles already break the top 10 (Guitar Hero III and Call of Duty 4), while EA had one 2007 title on the list in the form of Madden NFL 08."
