Xbox News | Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Developer Oddworld Inhabitants is leaving the games market to pursue a life creating content for TV and film following disappointing and disheartening results from its latest release, Oddworld Stranger's Wrath. Speaking in an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, studio president Lorne Lanning also confirmed the closure of his game development studio and the company's relocation. Xbox News | Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Oddworld Stranger is the latest in the platform puzzler series but has surprisingly mutated into a first-person shooter. These first screenshots of the game provide visual proof that the series has shifted direction but, befitting the Oddworld tradition, this isn't your run-of-the-mill shoot-'em-up.The central character is Stranger, a rootin'-tootin' bounty hunter. As such, he takes on assignments to bring in individuals dead or alive. Seeking enemies across the Oddworld landscape will include ...

Xbox News | Open Season
Before the hype machine for September's CG flick Open Season can even begin, Ubisoft is already letting people know about their video game adaptation. In the grand tradition of Ice Age, Madagascar and Over the Hedge, you control grotesquely disproportioned animals as they engage in wacky hijinks. This time, you're wild forest animals looking to give inept hunters a hard time. This from Ubisoft Montreal - yes, the same Ubisoft Montreal that creates the consistently fantastic Splinter Cell ...

Xbox News | Outlaw Golf 2
What's hotter than watching a cute princess kiss a fat, middle-aged plumber? Well, anything really, but given the headline above, the answer should be obvious: watching a cute princess kiss another cute princess. It's sexy, it's vaguely taboo and it's pleasantly devoid of bristling mustaches and lingering sewage odors. It's much more common to see girl-on-girl kisses in other media, but it happens in games more often than you'd think. To prove it to you, we've collected the very best ones and ...

Xbox News | Outlaw Golf 2
Outlaw Golf 2 provides irreverent fun of the golfing kind for those who like a little more spice when peppering the greens. A simple glance to the right at these exclusive screenshots underlines the fact that, when it comes to risque clubbers, OG2 swings with the best of them. The game is full of modes that wouldn't make it into any 'respectable' golfing title but OG2 likes to throw the etiquette and staid nature of the game out of the window. Multiplayer modes such as Baseball (erm, golf with ...

Xbox News from N4G | Over the Hedge
Xbox - Over the Hedge - Xbox Rental Woes If you've looked at the release lists recently, you'd see the Xbox is clearly hobbling towards its grave. The meager future software offerings are backed up by the most recent rental numbers from Blockbuster, as of Sunday May 28, 2006. The list was topped off by the PS2's version of X-Men: The Official Game, followed by Over the Hedge on the same system, and finally the Xbox's version of X-Men in the third spot.
